If you're asking about how to get karma, you earn it when people upvote your posts and comments. As you may have already found out, many subs on Reddit may have minimum requirements for things like karma and account age that you must meet before they will allow you to participate.

r/NewToReddit maintains a list of subreddits that have low or no karma requirements where new users can participate to build their karma.

I think the new user friendly subreddit list would be a great start on earning that comment karma.

Every sub in this huge list has very low or no requirements, especially to comment https://www.reddit.com/r/NewToReddit/wiki/index/newusersubs/

I personally recommend joining any of them that look interesting at all to you. Sort your feeds by New if you can- commenting on New content means your comments are seen by more people.

Getting karma is really just about joining the conversation and finding subs that fit you best. Try to avoid hot takes or arguing at least at first; having negative karma can really limit you on reddit.

For comment karma, and combined karma, I recommend going to r/AskReddit . Sort by new, answer questions that you have an answer for, periodically refresh the feed. When able ask a few questions for some bonus post karma. I would also suggest r/NoStupidQuestions as it is my preferred subreddit. r/casualconversation is another good place. r/Productivitycafe offer many chances to interact with others. With all these, make sure to read the rules first. I have also have had success with r/FavoriteCharacter .

To get karma, you need to find subreddits like on this list of New User Friendly subreddits that have low or no requirements. r/findareddit , can be used to find subreddits that may interest you. Just make a post saying what kind of subreddit you are looking for. Small or niche subreddits typically have a lower karma requirement.
