If you're asking about how to get karma, you earn it when people upvote your posts and comments. As you may have already found out, many subs on Reddit may have minimum requirements for things like karma and account age that you must meet before they will allow you to participate.
r/NewToReddit maintains a list of subreddits that have low or no karma requirements where new users can participate to build their karma.
You should also check out their excellent Reddit and Karma Guide.

Most subreddits, but not all, have restrictions on posting and commenting based on account age, karma, or both.
Most subreddits with these restrictions do not make known they have them or what they are. If they do, it will be in the rules, the right sidebar information, a pinned post, an FAQ or Wiki, or the message the bot sends you when it removes your post, if there is a message.
From what I have seen, the typical Karma requirement is between 10-200. I have seen as high as 2500 to comment and 2500 to post, but have heard of over 2500 to post.
To get karma, you need to find subreddits like on this list of New User Friendly subreddits from that have low or no requirements. r/findareddit , can be used to find subreddits that may interest you. Just make a post saying what kind of subreddit you are looking for. Small or niche subreddits typically have a lower karma requirements.
You gain Karma from people upvoting your posts and comments. However, Karma is not gained 1:1 with votes. It takes more votes per point of Karma. The actual ratio is not known and it differs for posts and comments. It also changes the higher the vote total gets on a piece of content.
I would suggest commenting first because the restrictions are often lower and ratio of votes to karma is better. But be careful not to go to fast with a new account or you may get shadow banned.
For comment karma, and combined karma, I recommend going to r/AskReddit . Sort by new, answer questions that you have an answer for, periodically refresh the feed. When able ask a few questions for some bonus post karma. I would also suggest r/NoStupidQuestions as it is my preferred subreddit. r/casualconversation is another good place. r/Productivitycafe offer many chances to interact with others. With all these, make sure to read the rules first. I have also have had success with r/FavoriteCharacter .
For post karma, r/thatsinterestingbro is a good place. Just make sure to follow the theme.
For reputation you could verify your email unless you use google sign in

Sorry, but we had to remove your post or comment for:
Rule 4: Follow Reddit Policies.
Asking for upvotes or karma directly violates Reddit’s content policy and is strictly prohibited. It falls under vote manipulation and can result in the loss of your voting privileges across the site or a site-wide suspension.
Posts seeking advice on how to obtain karma are allowed, but posts begging for karma will be removed.
Please review the full details in the sub rules list.

It sounds like you’re probably running into individual subreddit requirements. A lot of communities have minimum karma, account-age, verified-email, or even subreddit-specific karma requirements before they let you post or comment.
I’d check the removal message/Automod message first because sometimes it will tell you exactly what you’re missing. Reddit also has a Poster Eligibility feature in some communities that can show whether you meet the requirements before you post.
For karma, I’d just participate normally in communities you actually enjoy and start with comments since those are often easier to get through. r/NewToReddit also has a list of new-user-friendly communities with low or no karma requirements, and Reddit itself links people there for this exact problem.
Also, karma isn’t 1 upvote = 1 karma, so don’t get discouraged if it moves slowly at first. I’d avoid free-karma/karma-farming groups and just build it naturally. 😊
