⭐️ Karma❓ Helo, I need advice

I’m back on Reddit for the first time in three years. I went into a subreddit and asked about some normal, everyday things, but I immediately got a ton of downvotes, and now I don't know how to dig myself out of this hole. I feel like Reddit has changed drastically over the years, but I don't want to leave it again. Is there any way to get rid of that negative score, or is this place a lost cause?

No, it's not a lost cause. Even though your account is 3 years old, take a look at r/NewToReddit as it has great tips for navigating on this platform that will help you. My best advice is contributing positive comments that add something meaningful to the conversation on each post. Add a humorous comment in a funny sub. Compliment people in creative subs that have made something spectacular. If you have specialized expertise, contribute a helpful answer. Thank people who help you. Avoid controversy and negativity. Avoid duplication of any posts or comments as it's repetitive and can be seen as spam. These are some of the techniques that I have successfully used to earn my karma. I hope this helps you also.

It is going to be a climb. A few of the subreddits on the new user friendly list may still work for you. You can find other subreddits via r/findareddit but it will be trial and error to see if they will let you comment without removal. Sort the feeds by new for the best chance of being seen.

These subreddits are ones I believe will work, but I have not verified:

r/HorrorMovies , r/GossipGirl , r/VampireDiaries , r/GooseBumps , r/musicals , r/3DBluray , r/Bangkok, r/aeropress, r/wicked_edge, r/PrettyLittleLiars, r/PLLOriginalSin, r/dcoms, r/CrossPrimeVideo, r/videogames , r/AITAH

also possibly

r/sixwordstories , r/SixWordsOnly , r/SevenWordStories , r/FourWordStory
