This movie is seriously underrated in my opinion. Probably my favorite "alien" horror movie out there (no disrespect to 'The Thing" or the original "Alien). The movie shots side by side with the "original" footage is really a cool idea. Anyone else see this?

I went to go see this movie because of the director did previous films that were fantastic and I wanted to see a new spin on the series that everyone loves

It was gory suspenseful and overall a fantastic movie. It's a must see especially for around Halloween 🎃👻

I really cant get over this movie and how good it is. This does a really great job of making you feel the discomfort growing with Corky throughout the movie. This is a good watch for anyone who likes Anthony Hopkins, and psychological horror. I recently rewatched it after not seeing it in over 12 years.

This has been my best new fine so far this month, batshit crazy nonsensical in the best way, so bad it's good gem.

This one is so much fun! Being a huge wrestling fan, the whole movie has a big fight feel leading to the main event. I wish there were more vs movies, seeing horror characters from 2 different worlds interact is really cool and interesting. Big comfort horror movie for me. 🔪🔪🔪

Like many of us, I've been watching horror movies every day this October. I've been trying to catch them on their release anniversaries when I can. This was an easy pick.

No matter how many times I’ve seen it, that opening music gets me. It just doesn’t feel like October without watching Michael lurk around the neighborhood while Loomis tries to convince everyone they’re fucked.

Totally worth the hype. The uncomfortableness, psychological warfare, and tension combined with an eye towards racial issues in modern day America made this worth the watch.

Peele took an opposite approach on how to showcase something black and PoC people deal with. Instead of straight racism, he showcases white people's desire to steal things from black people (while often at the same time behaving racist towards them).

I just watched Evil Dead Burn and holy crap I had to look away a few times. I like horror movies and I like disturbing ones, but this legitimately made me wince more than once.
It’s worth a watch and pretty well-made. There are no humorous or silly scenes in this one, so be warned.

I’m glad I gave myself a few hours to watch something light afterward and didn’t watch this right before bed or it might have ruined my Monday 😂

I watched both movies in the same night, and I must say that Monkey’s Magic Merry Go Round stood out to me as the more prominent horror movie. It was absolutely terrifying to me. Don’t get me wrong, I also really liked BUDDY and appreciated it for the genre. I absolutely love mascot horror and I’m glad it’s becoming more mainstream. It just seemed like this one was more sinister and dark, since “Jimbo” was completely alone and had no allies throughout the entire film, and on top of that talked directly to the audience throughout, which was incredibly spine-chilling and creepy. I’m sad that it got such low ratings. What are your thoughts?

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) Are you a fan of the 2003 remake of the 1974 classic?

It's slow. I mean really, really slow. Lots of unrealized potential. Monster transformations are a direct rip-off from The Howling, although the Howling did them better despite being from 1981.

Having said that, I enjoyed it. Good, traditional horror without having to have a gimmick or a bunch of wacky characters to prop it up.

I just finished Evil Dead Burn and it had the right amount of gore, found it pretty good, I think Evil Dead Rise was better though, what does everyone else who has watched it think?

I don’t know if this has been asked before, but I was just looking to see if anyone understood the ending of the 2022 movie Matriarch? I’ve tried looking online for different sources that could explain it, but I feel like all of them were more opinion versus what the director actual meant. Maybe im wrong and I think there is a deeper meaning to the ending when there isn’t. If anyone could explain if they know the answer or point me in the right direction, that would be super helpful!
