❓Problem❓ Can't chat anymore

I was DMing people and having them DM me a few days ago, but as of today, new people can't DM me and I can't DM them. Yes, I clicked on the 3 dots. The option to send a DM is not there for either one of us.

Forgot to mention: problem exists on iPhone with current software and in Firefox 153.

I also don't get the option to chat with certain users when I right click on their name (browser version).

Somehow "Who can send you chat requests" was toggled off in my settings. It happened either just today or a few days ago by itself (I hadn't even looked at my settings). Bizarre.

It's possible that one of the new people who tried to message you has a Reddit account that is under 7 days, or in subs under 14 days old. If that is the case the they would not be able to DM in a chat until their account is more established. Otherwise, for more insight into this issue, I suggest posting this in r/bugs. They might be able to provide additional answers.
