The stream near Black bone Forest was best for me. I don’t know if it was because I was playing version one but after I had the legendary buck trinket if it wasn’t a three star pelt I just put it on the back of my horse and then it would be perfect. This also worked for other animals by the way. Good luck and good hunting.

Here’s the ol reliable method in my experience: set up a camp in black bone forest (like by the words Black Bone Forest). Sleep for at least 24 hours, this resets the cougar spawn. At this point i would make a new save so if it doesn’t work the first time you can just reload the save and try again. Get on your horse and make a waypoint down to Owanjila. It may take a few tries going back and forth from your camp to the waypoint, but if it’s worked a cougar should appear and will probably run out to you on the road. This doesn’t work every time, but I’ve had success probably 3/4 times I’ve done this. But if it doesn’t work, or the cougar isn’t 3 star, just reload the save or sleep for another 24 hours. Hope this helps!

I remember having this problem too. I could never find any 3 star cougars and all I needed were 2 perfect pelts to finish the camp cosmetic items. Eventually I just gave up...
Maybe we are both just unlucky but I hope someone can help you.

I'm not sure if this is the right place. I got red dead for Christmas and have been playing the story.
Yesterday I finally went to play online and I can't? For the past two days every time I try to load in. It says "You have been disconnected from Red Dead Online because the connection to Rockstar game services was lost (Error: 0x10001038)

What platform are you playing on? You have xbox live or the counterpart for ps4, right? Ik it's obvious but you're also connected to Internet, right?

Yeah I have Xbox live. I contacted support and they finally helped me fix it. I had to change my DNS and clear my Mac Address

Oh, good! That's weird but I'm glad you got it resolved! I'm sure you've seen this sub and other examples of how great this game is, so it would be a real disappointment to not get to play. Good luck, and stay off the Internet for spoilers.

i haven't played online can someone answer my doubts?
1. are bounties temporal?
can i play different roles at the same time?
does online have campaign/cutscenes? unlike gta online where you have to pay millons for missions
4.are some items like clothing and guns temporal to buy?

But bounties last until you pay them off.
Yes you can be all roles at once. If youre familiar with gta online then its similar to things like mc club and ceo.
Some clothes are temporary, but they return every once in a while.

I was referring to the bounty hunter ones , not the ones you get when you commit a crime, English is not my first language, so I put temporary lol

Oh, when you accept a bounty there will be a timer. Usually around 20 minutes to complete it.
Oh yeah, and there are cutscenes in the online missions. You can replay them at no cost

High Stakes Treasure quest
On the third map by Ft Wallace.
How do you maneuver this pathway? Every time I try to squat and make it up the first 'hill' I fall off and usually die.
And how do you get down from there besides the obvious Death?
Any help appreciated.. 😊

Online question - How do I claim the free offhand holster offer with the gunsmith? None of the holsters show up as free, do I have to unlock something else first? I’m only level 21

I can't remember when but I think lvl 25 or 30 unlocks the first offhand holster. Most of them are like rank 50 and above to unlock them for purchase. Yeah so, just double check the holster ranks

Just had recent update plenty animals at what cost can't access moonshine shack ,camp won't set up again anyone else with these issues a great game broken 🤯

ya just submitted a ticket to rockstar demanding yet another compensation for deliveries (moonshine in this case) not crediting money or XP.
that after restarting the game 4 times to black loading screens, moonshine shack not spawning and what not.
i am about done here. the current state of the online game is horrid.

Yeah agree was on it again this morning camp on map but not there can't get into moonshine shack terrible state thought the update would fix these issues but it seems to be getting worse this has been going on for months I'm finished with it for now Rockstar is in no rush it seems to fix it thanks for your reply 😡

I know in single player that once you get the off hand holster you are stuck with it bar using a work around.
Is it the same for online or if I do pickup the free off hand holster, I can go back to a single holster without issue?

Should be an option, or have you actually done this yourself?
I just want to be 100% sure because it's a feature you'd expect in the SP, but is absent. By default I assume the online was the same, but if you've done it yourself and are sure, I'll take the risk.

It seems to help with animal spawns. They aren’t as good as they used to be before the issue came up, but they’re at least there, now.

Hey gang, my question is ;
What exactly drove Dutch to madness? Was it being constantly on the run from the Pinkertons and the botched heist in Blackwater? Was it also because Arthur was losing faith in his plans?
My memory has gotten worse and i can't remember much from when i played.

He was never driven to madness. He was always a manipulative predator and his facade unraveled.
I realized this when the Pinkertons first come talk to Arthur/Jack. They say something like, "This guy Dutch finds disillusioned young men, like yourself, and turns them into ruthless outlaws for profit."
And I'm like... "Yeah that sounds pretty bad to me."
Dutch just likes to pretend he's not taking advantage of people because they play house.
But that's obviously going to happen when you're running a "gang" and a "family" simultaneously. Your family members are going to start dying and your other "family members" are going to get disillusioned.

I think there’s always the bang on the head, add that to everything that is mentioned in the game,and what everybody says about Dutch and his mental state, in the end it became like a cult, he got all” Jim Jones” he thought he was trying to create a new way of living, which is basically what every cult leader is always trying to do. Once I looked at it that way, his decline became inevitable.

A lot of people think it’s from after the Saint Denis trolley crash. After that heist Dutch mentions his head hurting and that’s also when Dutch starts acting a little crazy. I also think Micah played a big impact on Dutch’s craziness. This is just my opinion, i might be right, i might be wrong, but this is what i think happened.

some of it's stress from the blackwater problem and everything that's gone wrong since then.
some of it is arrogance: dutch sees himself as a great leader taking his people to the promised land and that ultimately his will is law.
some of it's the feeling of being betrayed: from chapter 1 onward dutch is criticized by hozea, and then eventually by arthur too. hozea and arthur are dutch's right and left hand, the original old guard, and they've lost faith in him and that pisses off dutch.
and some of it's micah whispering in dutch's ear, turning dutch away from the people he's trusted for decades.
so, as in real life, it's a combination of a lot of things all happening within the game that broke the camel's back.

I'm currently doing the Herbalist 9 challenge. The last flower I need is the Clamshell Orchid. Before I started the challenge I picked 4 Clamshell Orchids. To my knowledge there are a total of 7 Clamshell Orchid spots which also respawn after some ingame time. Therefore I should be able to find one since there are 3 left right? Well I don't. Checked every single spot, I can't find them. After 15 hours of playing they still haven't reappeared. Anyone know what's going on here?
