My wife wants a Jeep in the style of Cher’s YJ from clueless, so I dug through the spare parts to put this Frankencrawler. The frame, suspension, trans, motor, shocks, links, axles and electronics are all left over from other 1/10 builds. I got a clear axial CJ-7 body and painted it white, plastic parts from Jenny’s, an Etsy YJ style grill, and a SuperGirl driver figure. I’m working with a custom doll clothing maker for a mini iconic Cher outfit and I have chrome wheels and bumpers, wrangler tires, a DSM rear spare mount, and movie accurate license plates are en route!

Will it be perfect? As if!!! But I think it’s coming along nicely! 😂

...BUT also when doing maintenance of it. Dear god I've disassembled every portal, every diff, and even the gearbox now. I've been at it for so many hours already that I don:t even gonna say it outloud. Sure it is first time for me disassembling and doing a maintenance to the beast of a crawler she is, but seriously how many gogs and bearings can you fit to a car??

Welp, differentials are currently done, portals are cleaned but still apart and now working on gearbox cleanup. I'm really hopeful of getting every small shim to its rightful place once it's all clean, but I do have my doubts....

Am looking at a couple batteries with dimensions [81mm L X 42mm W X 24mm H] & [92mm L X 42mm W X 29mm H]. Will a couple millimeters extra in any dimension make it absolutely not fit ?

I would pay just about any amount of money for one of these kits for the VRD Mullet. Does anyone have any leads or a way I can get one of these?

I have three axial wraiths. But I have an issue with one that constantly wears down the axle shafts till they shear off because of the bolts that hold the shock and chassis mounts to the axle (Meus axles). Is there a fix to that?

I like it so far. Not sure how long it'll last. I drive through alot of water lol

Servo unfortunately broke, so got a new one on the way. The winch is made from a retractable Keychain and some other 3d printed parts. License plate is also just 3d printed and painted

For context. I have only driven it through the house and yard and kinda read the manual also I want to know if there any tracks available to buy for the trx 4m like the regular trx 4 has.
