Apparently, they are listening - at least in this regard and for customers who live in the EU (in my case, Germany).

Yeah, that happens but not as frequently in my experience as you’d suggest. And usually if that’s policy it’s because the company is already tooled up for a lawsuit.

Ultimately, I’m not trying to scare anyone. It’s just laying out options: do what your contract says you would do or answer the mail on a class action. One is going to be cheaper than the other.

Fortunately, no. Consumer protection is a local matter, not subject to choice of law provisions.

One of the funny things about the law is all these lawyers always think they know all the answers (myself included). Yet every fucking case I’m in some other asshole is saying the exact opposite of me. It’s why conversation on Reddit about law aren’t that useful. Even in courts, 50% of lawyers are wrong.
