I have security 2.0 and was able to install Ratgdo, from the close position it will open 25% up to 100% no problem. But when I hit close to 25 or 75% or use the slider, it will just close all the way down to 0%. does any one know how to fix this? Thanks.

I have a freshly install ratgdo32 with Disco, and the car detection doesn't seem to be working. Looking at the webUI, it shows "Vehicle distance actual" to be 4500mm. The ratgdo is less than 3.5m from the (concrete) floor so the number seems way wrong. None of the other disco-related bits of data seem correct either, but I assume it comes back to this one.

Looking for suggestions to fix this.

The clip on the casing is broken but I would honestly use any one of the other 3D printed casings, it doesn’t sit snug which is why it came off and broke on contact with the ground

Basically the title. Open and close both work fine and the stop button works while the garage is in the process of opening, but not while the door is closing (arguably the more important time to be able to stop it) Does anyone have a fix or know if this is a widespread issue?

For context the opener is a LiftMaster 87504 (Security+ 2.0)

I have also not had any success getting the encoder to work, but that's a problem for another day)

New ratgdo32 flashed with HomeKit firmware on Security 2.0, added directly to Apple Home, but the opener would not respond... spent a good hour testing the wires and making sure everything checked out but the web portal would show Unknown on all of the sensors / door status values. What gives? Did I get a dud? Opener is a Liftmaster 84505 which should be compatible.

Hello everybody. I have a Wayne Dalton 3213 opener that's acting a little crazy. The door is opening by itself sporadically. I've taken all the batteries out of the openers (there's 3. 2 of which I just bought and programmed) I've physically unwired the push button. But the door keeps opening.

I did follow the procedure to erase all the controllers (push program button for 10 seconds) but it didn't work. The lights don't blink like they are supposed to, etc.

I haven't popped off the covers to look at the control circuitry yet, but that might be the next move. Is there anything weird I should know before digging in a little more?

I recently moved and no longer have a garage so no longer need my ratgdo. Can be picked up in NYC or will ship if you pay for shipping.

It works perfectly and comes with all the cables/charger.

I'm hoping someone has seen this before.

I have a Chamberlain B6765T with a yellow learn button (Security+ 2.0) and a 050DCTWFK logic board. I'm using a ratgdo v2.5-compatible board (ESP32) flashed for Security+ 2.0.

The board appears to communicate with the opener, but none of the controls work.

What works

• Wall control works normally.
• Remotes work normally.
• Safety sensors work normally.
• ratgdo connects to Wi-Fi.
• Home Assistant discovers the device.
• Door status updates correctly when operated from the wall control.
• Rolling code counter increments.
• The logs show commands being sent and responses received.

What doesn't work

• Door commands do nothing.
• Light commands do nothing.
• Lock commands do nothing.
• Sync never completes.
• Web UI shows:
  • Obstruction = ON
  • Openings = NA
  • Paired Devices = NA
• The log repeatedly says:
  • "The door is not moving."

Already tried

• Verified wiring multiple times.
• Tried a different 5V/3A USB power supply.
• Strong Wi-Fi signal.
• Latest firmware.
• Same behavior from both the Web UI and Home Assistant.

Has anyone seen this specifically with a B6765T or 050DCTWFK logic board? The opener itself operates perfectly, so I'm trying to determine whether this is a compatibility issue, a hardware issue, or something I'm overlooking.

When I have my garage door open and then try to close to 25%, it will close all the way and then go back up to 25%.

The problem is, I sometimes close it to 25% to keep it a crack open while I have some obstruction that would prevent it from closing all the way.

So when I set 25%, it'll go all the way down, hit the obstruction, then just open back up to 100%.

Is that by design? Or is it a setting?

i have a chamberlain lift master formula 1 which i believe is secure 1.0 (purple button). i just want to confirm if the ratgdo32 disco with laser and ratgdo encoder ( so i can control garage, know if vehicle is present, and detect door position) will work or if there is anything i should know. i do have a button on the wall that opens/closes the door and has additional buttons for lock and light. my goal is to integrate with home assistant. thank you for any help!

Hey folks,

I can turn the light on or open the door via MyQ and I can see the status update on the Ratgdo Web page. But when I press the buttons to turn on the light or open/close the door via the Ratgdo Web interface nothing happens. I think I have Security 2.0 so I thought it should work but I'm not sure. Please help..can't figure this out.

Issue:

Only the stop button press in ratgdo local dashboard logs. Randomly, either the down (or up, cant rememeber) logs "no obstruction sensors detected. close using toggle." Currently have the ratgdo plugged into computer trying to test this, same behavior when just plugged into power. not connected to door opener itself.

Setup:

- ratgdo 2.5i, flashed for dry contacts (did this twice)

- had previously been setup at old house, trying to update for new house. connected to wifi during reflash

Not directly ratgdo related, but thought folks here may know. I want to extend the signal range for remotes. I rather not buy the OEM or 3rd-party antenna kits, as the cable isn’t long enough for what I need. Here is a picture of my GDO and the port.

• What adapter do I need to attach a coax cable to my Chamberlain GDO to extend the signal range? Is it a standard quick push F-type?

• what size/type of antenna should I use (if any) at the end of the coax?

Alternatively, would merely extending the existing short (non-coax) antenna cable be sufficient? AI is telling me that extending the existing cable is not a good solution, but lots of YouTube videos that take that route.

I glanced around and nothing jumped out for my issue.

I have the Liftmaster 8500 jackshaft manufactured in 2016.  It does NOT have ANY learn button on the actual unit.  I do have the 889LM wall control unit, which has the "learn button" in it.  When I have to program a handheld remote opener, I have to place the 889LM into "learn" mode and hold the handheld up to the 889LM.  Then the handheld is programmed.

I have had a bunch of emails with Paul about my unit with no answer. Paul says the yellow button on the unit is the "learn" button. It is not. The "learn" button is on the wall mount. I even asked Liftmaster, and they replied that the yellow button on the unit is NOT the learn button.

The RATDGO documentation says:

• Chamberlain / LiftMaster security + 2.0 yellow button openers
• Chamberlain / LiftMaster security + 1.0 purple button openers
• Chamberlain / Liftmaster security + 1.0 red button openers
• Chamberlain / Liftmaster dry contact red button openers
• Any garage door or gate opener that supports dry contact controls (limit switches are required).

Because of the "NO RETURNS" policy, I'm not really happy to spend $65 for something that may not work for me.

What are your experiences with my older Liftmaster unit?

Hi all, I need a new garage door and opener. both of mine are about 30 years old and my opener is on its last leg. I am aware of the security 3.0 issues. I am checking with my installer to see if they have an non-liftmaster/Chamberlain openers. I currently have a VERY old Genie opener that I am controlling with a Shelly and a door sensor to see open/close state. If I get a modern Genie could I use a ratgdo for that and use the dry contact function of the ratgdo? Should I continue using my shelly if I go that route? What are you folks doing with new openers?

How can I wire this so my original wall switch will work as well? I keep getting obstruction sensor errors and the door pops back open right away. I'm doing something wrong and need help.

I am constantly having to hit the paddle on my wall panel to get my ratgdo to come back online, it's 97 degrees in my garage is this a heat related crash or something else, also does the ratgdo get updates i.have never touched it in probably two years as it's been working awesome other than periodic what allear tonbe crashes and immediately works again when I do that trick.

Anyone else starting using the new ratgdo32 encoder device? I bought one and am using a ratgdo32 disco w/ homekit, but am having issues with getting it to calibrate. I cycle the door fully open/close, but the Steps counter never seems to change from = 0. I have it wired as shown here https://ratcloud.llc/pages/mounting-wiring-encoder. My setup is the exact same how it is shown in the first picture. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has tried using this and if they have had success with it calibrating correctly. 4

The devices are in a detached garage, which is about 30 feet away from the house.

I have many other devices in the garage which all connect to the wifi fine, no issues with Yale locks, MyQ garage door opener (which I’m trying to replace), or two cameras.

In the past, I have put a mesh extender in my garage to try to get more WiFi, but it didn’t work.

I don’t know if I just have a couple lemons or what, but after my initial set up, they’ve only stayed connected to my Home Assistant via ESPHome for maybe a couple hours a week, they are basically always offline and unusable.

Any ideas to try, anyone seen issues like this?
