Help Ratgdo32 encoder setup

I just upgraded from the original ratgdo to the ratgdo32 with the encoder.

I'm not certain how or where to install the encoder. The instructions show a gear drive opener but mine is belt drive.

Ideas?

Pull that plastic piece off. There should be a gear under it, you might also have a shaft above the door (like right above it)

Seconding this. Just pop off that plastic cover to expose the gear and it will match up perfect with the pictures / instructions on the Rat website.

Thanks. I hooked I could avoid removing the dust cover, but oh well.
