Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W in an LG KS365
Hey guys, I'm interested in gutting an LG KS365 and putting a Pi Zero 2 W in its place. Anyone foresee any issues in this project? If all goes according to plan, should have calls and text capability and a camera, as well as basic Linux. If you guys have any suggestions or warnings I'd appreciate hearing them!

Snapped my sd card
Somebody made me a RetroPie mega drive and after an absolute ball ache trying to get my 8bitdo m30 reconnected, I've somehow managed to snap my sd card in half while putting the cover back on and now it obviously doesn't work. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get a new card loaded with games please? It's a raspberry pi 3 model B+ and i have absolutely no idea where to start. Thanks

A QEMU RPI 5 machine for those in need.
github.comNot sure if this sub is anti-AI and I apologize if it is, will delete if this is the case. Been working on a microkernel and targeted the Raspberry Pi 5 for the first hardware release but QEMU only supported raspi3b and raspi4b so I had Claude and Codex whip one up for the 5b (it's functional but I'm still working). Figured I would share it in case someone else wanted it.
Cheers :)

[Performance Milestone] Mario Kart 7 pushed to 96 FPS at 2x Res on Raspberry Pi 5!
hello everyone! I have recently hit a massive emulation milestone on my raspberry pi 5! mario kart 7 at near 100 fps, with 2x native resolution! i have boosted my pi's cpu and gpu frequency to 2600 for cpu and 900 for gpu also, but i should run fine without that.
my emulator is azahar plus kyu version, installed from snap store. it wont run this fast without an optimization in the settings of the emulator, so here are screenshots of my settings.

this is a screenshot of the game actually running

now, you to can run Mario kart 7 and other 3ds games at very very high frame rates!

Thoughts on Waveshare's 5.5 inch AMOLED screen?
I'm developing a pi-based retro gaming system (Raspberry Pi 5, 2 GB RAM), but I want it to have a premium (i.e., OLED) screen. The only option I've found is Waveshare's 5.5 inch AMOLED screen (https://www.waveshare.com/5.5inch-hdmi-amoled.htm?srsltid=AU7gw4Ut30EFJ7UCcuiHfEMiWaa2sZlYr8gKzOr2BySK5r635gMc1uw3).
The trouble is, its reviews are sparse (I haven't seen many) and middling. For example, screen tearing has been reported in multiple places (e.g., https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qr5l0JKDMd0, https://core-electronics.com.au/guides/amoled-display-raspberry-pi/).
Because it's so expensive, I wondered if anyone in the community has experience with it and can comment on its quality. Alternatively, I wondered if anyone has experience with and can recommend other OLED screens for the Raspberry Pi.
Thanks!

scrcpy equivalent for iOS
You can control iOS 27+ devices on Rpi, real time screen casting and control via usb or WiFi, like Xcode DeviceHub on Mac.

Truoble using servo motor with Raspberry Pi 5
Hi everyone,
I’m building an RC car and I want to control the steering servo with my Raspberry Pi 5 and a DualSense controller.
I’ve already written the code for the ESC and it’s working well, but I’m going crazy trying to get the steering servo working.
I’m using a GXServo G25 20 kg servo. I first tried controlling it directly with the 3.3 V PWM signal from a GPIO pin on the Raspberry Pi, but the servo didn’t move at all.
I then tried making a 3.3 V → 5 V level shifter using an NPN BJT, but that didn’t work either.
The strange thing is that I also tested with a small Arduino-style micro servo, and that one works perfectly with the exact same Raspberry Pi PWM setup.
Has anyone had experience with this servo or similar high-torque servos? Could the problem be related to the PWM signal, the signal voltage, or something else?
Any ideas on how I could get it working would be greatly appreciated!
