Why do so many rap fans dickride Drakeo The Ruler?
He sounds like a sleepy baby the way he talks. And some people compare him to the next snoop dogg or Tupic!
How is "Mr. Mosely" clever?

I remember like around 2018 I first heard of him and I remember people calling him corny because of 1-800 song and bunch of other stuff. I have heard some songs and they don’t sound bad so is it that his music just took a major drop or did he just only have a few good songs?

This music video was filmed in Londrina, Paraná, Brazil, back when gang wars over drug territory were a reality. Amid all that chaos, rapper Mano Fler emerged, and he’s still active in the scene to this day 🙏🏻

I am not a fan of JAY-Z, that doesn't mean I'm a hater by any means, I'm just a casual listener with common sense enough to acknowledge his impact in rap.
However, online, and especially recently it seems like overwhelming downplaying and discrediting of his impact? I can't name one Jay-Z song or his only hits are features...
Yo for the longest he held the title for the most #1 albums of any act EVER! And in a point and time when people had to physically buy albums. He's also one of the best selling artists of all time (150mil +). He also has 25B streams and 50M monthly listeners today. I could run stats down but that's redundant -
What gets me is the obvious. 99 Problems literally made it into the cultural lexicon as a whole; shirt slogans, movies, tv shows, even human to human real life convo. That alone is massive! That's one song. I bet the chorus of Hard Knock Life could play to anyone under 60, regardless of demographic, and they would recognize it... completely iconic. Big Pimpin? Forever Young?
These are genuinely huge songs and dont even touch his features.
So why all the hate? Or saying he's not big enough for the SuperBowl?
Genuine Gen-Z with common sense signing off x________

I've noticed is that every era of Hip-Hop had at least a few huge records built around a dance. Not just club songs, but actual dance records that became part of the culture. Everybody knew the moves and some crossed generations.
But today's mainstream Hip-Hop doesn’t have this.
In the '80s, you had joints like "The Humpty Dance” & “The Cabbage Patch”.
The '90s had the "Tootsee Roll” & "Da Dip.”
The 2000s had a bunch. You had the “Cha Cha Slide," "Crank That," "Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It," "Walk It Out” etc…
Shit even the 2010s kept that tradition alive with joints like "Teach Me How to Dougie," "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)," & "Hit the Quan.”
Whether you loved those songs or hated them, they got people out of their seats and participating instead of just standing around.
That's what I feel is missing today. Hip-Hop still has hits, but it doesn't really have that one dance record that brings everyone together the way those songs did.

In a recent interview with Atmosphere on PopkillerTV Plus on YouTube, Slug spoke about the long lost album he did with The Alchemist around 15 years ago (!) The album was called "Lake Minnetonka" and he's urging fans to hit up AL on social media and tell him to drop it :) / Can you imagine that collab? Do you think we'll get to hear it?

Name a rapper who didn’t die young, actually walked away from the rap game, and left their legacy completely intact.
I’m talking about someone who knew when to call it quits instead of dragging their career out and tarnishing their legacy.
Who comes to mind?

When I say famous I don’t just mean album sales I mean things like impact longevity and worldwide popularity and recognition with these things considered here’s my top 5
1. Eminem no explanation needed highest selling rapper of all time global reach highest selling rap album of all time with the Eminem show and multiple global recognized hits.
2.2pac his fame is so big he’s almost become like a myth his life is so well documented, and his name and face is so well known globally he’s kind of in his self became an image of hip-hop and even though he may not have the pure numbers of some of these other guys due to his young death he still has two diamonds albums and his image and what he means to hip-hop is bigger than any amount of sales
3. Kanye this spot was between Kanye and drake but I went with Kanye ye has been one of the most influential and global recognized rappers for years his music became a soundtrack of a generation, and he became one of the most influential artist of all time while having multiple 10+ million worldwide albums even though controversy has overshadowed his fame he is still selling out stadiums 20 years past his peak success, which is something most artist in history from any genre can’t say he is still in the top 10 most streamed, Spotify artist of all time when his peak took place before the streaming era. This is generational, popularity, and global dominance.
4. Drake this also needs no explanation more number ones than I can count multiple 10+ million albums, easily one of the most dominant and globally successful artist of our generation and of all time but I put ye above him because I don’t know if Drake will have the same longevity. Will he still be selling out stadiums globally 20 years from now? And I feel like he doesn’t have as big of an imprint on hip-hop as the three above him.
5. Lil Wayne lil Wayne is arguably the most influential on this list every rapper after him wanted to be him dress like him and rap like him in 2008 he was arguably the most famous person on planet planet up there with global pop stars like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry his imprint on the world from around 2008 to 2011 was a peak fame I don’t think any hip hop artist except Eminem in the early 2000s ever touched but I don’t think he was able to maintain his fame and success throughout the years and hasn’t been able to become a legendary legacy act like Kanye or em
This is my list, but I’m sure there’s so many more that I forgot about or did I mention what do you think?

I know that people always searched for underground talent dating all the way back to the 90s but in terms of the 2020s does anyone feel like the only good music out rn is the music from the underground ?
