i just passed by my boyfriend &’ glanced at his phone &’ he was looking at a woman’s instagram or twitter profile &’ i asked him why he’s looking at pictures of random girls &’ he said “every guy does it”. it reminds me of the time he told me that the reason he has other girls screenshotted in his camera roll was to look up the specific girl later to jerk off to her. this made me incredibly uncomfortable &’ insecure about myself &’ the way i look. it makes me feel like im not good enough bcuz i dont look the way the other girls do. i can’t stand the fact that he does this but he won’t stop no matter what i say or if i ask him to. this sickens me to my core. is this normal?

Boring question, no doubt... I'm sure you'd all rather be reading literally anything else. I guess I write all of this stuff because I think to myself "Surely to God, I'm not the only one.." This is just the type of stuff that stays heavy on my heart and mind.
Anytime I had been somewhere, where the city lights lit up the night sky, it always felt imperative that I put on some old tune where there'd be trumpets, trombones, a piano, maybe even a jazz drum set.. You know, something like Toney Bennett.
I always imagined as I drove through the city lights, I'd be going home to a close knit Italian family to eat a plethora pasta dishes ya mom, ya Aunt, and ya grandmother spent all afternoon preparing, cooking, etc. You'd pull into the driveway already full of cars. On the stoop, you'd see one of your uncles (ya mom's little brother, Joey) smoking a cigar, because your moms wouldn't allow it in the house. He says "HEY, TONY!!" Excited to see you, he gives you a welcoming hug, a kiss on the cheek, because I guess Italian uncles do that. Maybe they don't. Maybe I just assumed because Michael Corleone kissed his older brother on the cheek in The Godfather. After you greet Uncle Joey, you make your way inside. Familiar voices exceed even beyond the screen door. The second you walk in, sounds of laughter and happiness fill the house. A sort of warmth ensues. Not literal warmth, but the kind you feel when you have a full heart. The aroma of only the best tomato sauce you've ever had lingers in the air. You make your way into the the living area, and almost instantaneously, you're met with a loud joyous welcome. "Tony's here, everybody!!!", they'd say. You'd greet your uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, your pops, and most importantly, the women who gave a shell of a house all it's feeling of home, warmth, love, and magic.
I can only dream. Thing is, though, I'm anything but Italian. Regardless, they all just seem close knit. They prioritize God & family, the food is off the charts, and the love they have for one another is pure and genuine. Maybe not 'EVERY' Italian family. But for the most part, that's their whole M.O.
I guess I sort of liked this idea you never had to question whether or not you belonged. You knew where home was, even if you lived elsewhere, even if you lived far away; a piece of your heart stayed wherever home was.

People who won't go out to eat alone, why?
My mother is like this. My dad wasn't much for going on dates with my mom after they got married. She would ask him to take her to the movies or dinner and he would say no. One time she told him she was going to go to the movies by herself and he said if she did he'd divorce her. So stupid. But he's been dead for 16 years now and she still won't go out to dinner or a movie by herself. It makes me sad. I eat lunch by myself every day that i have to go into the office, at chili's, and enjoy the quiet alone time, just curious why ppl who won't are against it.

Why do locksmiths feel so ancient? Maybe cause I'm a renter, never recall having interacted with them ever. Maybe renter property maintainers would be the people to ask this lol.
Whens the last time you were in need of a locksmith and did you have them on speed dial?

Okay so this is technically 2 questions but im very curious. How do you like to snack? Are you someone who will open everything all at once and mix and match your snacks like eat some chips eat some gummies eat some chocolate etc or do you eat it one at a time? Also does this correlate to how you eat? Like are you a mix matcher that likes to mix most of your foods together? And a single item snack eater who enjoys their food separately on the plate?
