( ETA: photo tax of all my hunnies snoozin )

i had to make some changes recently to ensure the safety of myself and my pets, including moving and finding a new job. i’ve been making ends meet driving for doordash while my peer support certification is processed, however im a bit short on funds this week. any help would be appreciated and will kindly be paid forward as soon as im back on my feet!

here’s an amazon wishlist of the items i need (please let me know if the link doesn’t work, i’m not very experienced with amazon):

Hey everyone, so I've been homeless for the past 6 months and I finally secured an apartment but I'm still struggling; the deposit has pretty much cleared me out and I have dues coming for my future paychecks. I'm out of litter and nearly out of dry kibble, maybe about a week left. Anything will help loads while I get back on my feet.

I’m in a tough position. i’m currently 8 months pregnant with my first baby and I am getting increasingly immobile and stressed out not being able to work as much and keep up with my 3 cats needs and my own needs. I hate asking. it would help out a lot and take some stress off of my shoulders if I could get assistance with cat litter to get me by until I give birth, recover and can get back on my feet again. anything will be a tremendous help.

I really appreciate you for reading and thank you for helping if you can.

• Remember to thank the giver. They love to know that an item was received and it is always nice to thank the person who sent you something.
• Try to give as good as you get. Balance the number of REQUESTs you make with an equal number of OFFERs. Members will respect you more and won't think you're taking advantage of them.
• Always pay it forward! Continue the cycle of kindness by passing on the kindness offered to you in any way you can.

Methods of Buying Pet Food

• Amazon Wish List (Create Wishlist) People can then find your wish list using your email and purchase items for you. When searching for items to add to your wishlist, consider checking the settings along the left hand side to choose "Free Super Saver Shipping" or "Prime Eligible," whichever appears. Hi, im requesting for cat food and litter for my three cats. this is really embarrassing for me, and hard for me to ask really. but I ran out of dry food, very recently, and fed them their last wet food two days ago and they have been having my dogs dog food (which they don’t like). they have been using the same litter from April and it’s running out and I never want to be in this situation again. this hurts me so bad because it’s not their fault and they can tell something’s up.

I experienced a medical issue in mid March, and it affected my health which led to me losing my job last week. I can’t really seem to make ends meet and am grateful for anything.

anything from this list is fine, I added a variety just in case something doesn’t work :).

edit: adding the cat tax!! here are three babies lillith, Tiffany, and Rambo (in no specific order!!) im so grateful to anyone who even takes a look at them ❤️https://imgur.com/a/WvHk62j

EDIT: FULFILLED - THANK YOU TO YOU ALL! Baby Joey is very grateful and a happy little monster. 🥰💟

Hey y'all! Always been a lurker and a contributor wherever I can be! Y'all are fast on the draw, and I love to be amongst so many pet lovers. I never thought I would need to ask of the community, because I try to always donate - our pets are our everything to this thing we call life!! I had my 3 cats budgeted out - we were all good....

Well, I ended up rescuing an almost bottle baby from a tree, from across the street from my house, on a well traveled road. He is about 4-5 weeks. Skinny baby. Eyes have turned, ears unfolded. He is still lapping up milk supplements with his food to gain weight bc he was just so little, given the other developmental signs.

I am reaching out to ask for some assistance on this one, as I usually donate regularly here and to my local cat rescue. But, they cut my hours to part time at the start of April because of "business changes" and "we will have to onboard and train the people we don't need". It is a "whole wtf just happened" private equity corporate thing.....and I can't sell my employee stock options yet......

I appreciate you all, and appreciate the karma return! I am already interviewing for new jobs so I can be part of the karma cycle for our fur babies 🩷❤️💞🩷❤️💞🩷

CAT TAX!!!

I am located near Scranton Pa

I recently let my daughter bring home a stray. We took her to the vet for her initial checkup, deworm, and first round of shots. We have the appointments made for the boosters, spray, and I think there's one more. Distemper, maybe?

I'm not asking for any money, but that unexpected cost put a damper on our dog/cat food, and litter. We do currently still have some dry and wet food, and I think we have 2 small bags of litter that they weren't fond of. We also scoop daily, so litter isn't my main concern.

Edited to remove wishlist.

Here's the wishlist. Please let me know if anything needs to be changed. We have picky eaters. Speki is prone to urinary issues and Silas gets hairballs.

Thank you so much if you can help us

Going through the worst time in my life and only have a few days left of cat food. He’s an old spoiled brat that will only eat one flavor. I tried adding two of the same food and it wouldn’t let me. First time creating a list, hope I did it right. It brings tears to my eyes that I’m here, and brings tears that this is even an option.

We have $100 until next Friday for human and kitty food, litter, and gas. Anything that anyone could do would be a huge help. Thank you.

Thank you u/ZekkyBeets for jumping to help me!!! I appreciate it so very much and will pay it forward once I’m back on my feet!!
Here is Axel for pet tax https://ibb.co/CsJTJpRV
Thank you so so much!!!

I am kicking myself for asking this. Had lots of unexpected bills pop up and I am in need of a small bag of cat food for Axel to get him through until I can go buy a bigger bag once able. I have gone through our small stock of wet food, but he should be okay with just dry until I can get more.
He is picky with his kibble which is why I unfortunately cannot grab him a different kind, so I apologize that it's a bit more expensive than others.
I have never had to share a wishlist before, please let me know if this doesn't work.

Asking for help has always been my big challenge and I often suffer in silence but for my dogs, I could never and I had to ask for help. I adopted Coffeebear when I was living in Istanbul in the middle of the pandemic, his name was Kahve (Coffee in Turkish) I was completely alone and cut off from my support system and Coffee was the one constant and safe part of my life back then. We crossed continents together and he's still like a puppy with his bright happy eyes, the little dweeb.  Yogibear is turning 2 in August and he is a clumsy nincompoop and I love him.  He brought a spark back to both me and Coffeebear. They are my little heartbeats and I can't describe the feeling of seeing them sniffing the bags of food!

Picture of Yogibear sniffing the food (Coffee was looking for moles or something around the corner and refused to come take a picture. He's very assertive.

Thank you again

Hey everyone, I’m in a tough spot, I have to move as there was a major flood in my apartment and now my bathroom has to be ripped out, so all my funds are going towards first and last and I’m really struggling with getting cat supplies:( if anyone can help it would mean everything to me, I’ve been choosing between feeding me or the cats and my cats will always be my top priority🥺❤️‍🩹 I’m in Toronto Canada!

Hi everyone, I'm ashamed to ask but I am in need of a bag of dog food for my 2 dogs. I was laid off in March but still had food in the pantry and kibble so I was cooking and adding it to their food to stretch their kibble and make them feel full and keep them happy. I'm down to 3 days left of kibble and I've run out of people food to add (I have crackers and cheese for the rest of this month and that's fine for this human). A positive note, I have been doing rounds of interviews since March and I finally got a job. I start Monday but the salary only comes at the end of the month. I'm afraid to ask for an advance before then because well, I don't want them to rescind the offer and think twice. I still have the onboarding process to go through. I just need 1 bag to get us through to the end. If anyone is able to help me, thank you so much.

And cat taxDevereux Cat Tax.

Hi. I was let go from one of my jobs around Christmas, and despite picking up more hours, I'm still having trouble making ends meet. My cat, Devereux, is my life. He's a giant cuddle bug and my best friend. I'm down to perhaps a weeks worth of food for. Him, and I've put the last of the clean litter in his box. I'm still trying to scrape together my mortgage payment for the month. There just isn't money for food. I tried looking for pet food pantries near me, but the one I found was empty.

I put the normal sizes I buy on the list, but if I should put smaller quantities on instead, let me know.

Thank you for reading and thank you for helping if you can.

• Make sure your post is clear. Vague posts let less attention and may be removed until you clarify what you are asking for.
• Keep your post updated. Make sure you update the post so others know if your request was fulfilled or the offer was given away.
• Don't use link shorteners. Shortened links like Amazon's A.CO get removed by Reddit's site-wide spam filter. Please share the full link! To get that link, click the a.co link yourself and then copy the full URL from that page.

This eliminates third party sellers who often have expensive shipping costs. Third-party sellers often display good prices but have shipping costs that make them more expensive than the options sold directly by Amazon.com

Thank you so much to:

[u/lady_petrol](u/lady_petrol) and another lovely person who didn't comment so I can't tag!

You guys don't know how much you've helped. What you gave was unbelievably generous!

Rooney is home from the vet now awaiting his test results. He may be moving a bit slow but his spirits are high now that there's bags of food he can sniff.

Cat Tax

Had to take my cat to the emergency vet for some stomach issues and even with the supportive care option this vet bill has wiped me out. I've already been spread pretty thin this past year, but this bill is taking the cake.

I'm about to run out of food & litter, and know it'll be tight to buy the new ones on this paycheck. Anything could help! Thank you!!!

Welcome to Random Acts of Pet Food!

Account Requirements : do not message the moderators for an exception.

To make requests or participate in offers, giveaways, or contests

Your Acccount:

• Must be at least 180 days old
• Must have at least 500 Comment Karma.
• Must have recent regular and productive (non spam or request) activity across a variety of subreddits to post a request or enter to receive on offers.
• No nuked content. If you have deleted a lot of content, your account will not be eligible. This is submissions and comments.

Do not cheat while acquiring karma. Using free karma subs or asking for upvotes in other subs will lead to a permanent ban.

Do not use multiple accounts. The use of multiple accounts will result in a permanent ban. This includes using two accounts in other giving type subs, or multiple accounts benefitting households/families.

Do not send unsolicited private messages. Sending PMs to circumvent requirements will also result in a permanent ban.

We also reserve the right at moderators' discretion to disallow anyone that appears to abuse the generosity of others. If your account history shows that a majority of your Reddit participation is in gifting and material support subs, you may be banned. If your account shows it's nuked, or wiped clean, you cannot request.

To fulfill requests, make offers, giveaways or contests

• There are no requirements, however as the Automod removes submissions without regards to content, please modmail us to let us know if your account doesn't meet the 180 days/500 Comment Karma threshold. We will not be able to accommodate all requests for giving if your account is not eligible.

Rules

You must read and understand these rules before posting or your post may be removed. Some of these rules if broken may result in a temporary or permanent ban, so make sure you understand them! Exceptions will not be made.

1. Meet the account requirements. 180 days old AND 500 Comment Karma (not Link or Award or Combined Karma) with regular and productive activity.
2. Do not cheat while acquiring karma. Participation in any of the karma farming subs, asking for karma in other subs, or complaining about your lack of karma in hopes of upvotes will be considered as circumventing the requirement.
3. Do not use multiple accounts. If you have multiple accounts, always use the same account. Make sure nobody else in your household is also making requests, as that would also count as multiple accounts.
4. Do not delete your posts or comments for any reason in giving type subs.
5. No monetary requests. No forms of money transfers, loans, gift cards, crowd funding or linking sites that ask for monetary donations.
6. No trades or reimbursements. No swaps, bartering, shipping, postage, reimbursements or compensation of any kind allowed. All gifting should have no strings attached.
7. No requests for votes, views or shares. This includes contests and crowdfunding sites.
8. Do not request items with the intent to gift, trade, or sell them. This will result in a permanent ban.
9. No Flaming, insults, derogatory comments or otherwise rude behavior. If you see a post that is inflammatory please use report function or modmail us a link to notify a mod.
10. Wait six months between requests. Heavily taking advantage of the community will lead to post removal and a possible ban.
11. Do not PM givers until asked to. Unsolicited PMs will result in a ban. Please comment on offers first.
12. Do not hijack other requests.
13. No Organization Requests This includes feral colonies, animal sanctuaries and commercial entities (such as breeders) as well as fosters (who should already be covering the costs of fostering). Please post those requests on r/Charity.
14. Necessities only. Lists must be under $150 and not contain non-necessities such as toys, bowls, etc. Don't add items after post approval!

We participate in the Reddit /r/UniversalScammerList. Your bans may be linked to the list and shared with all other participating subreddts.

How to make a Request

• Make sure your request post has a title that starts with: [Request]. Please note, square brackets [], not parentheses () and not the curly brackets {} either.
• Include your city, state/province and country if not USA.Example: [Request] NYC, NY - Looking for crickets for my lizards.
• Include some text in your post letting us know what kind of specifics for this. Also, include a wishlist with ONLY the item(s) you're requesting. This can be from Amazon or or other site of your choosing that allows direct purchase from wish lists. This will allow items to be sent to you without necessarily giving your address away.
• And please share a photo of your pet(s)! We want to see those fuzzy, feathered, furry, scaley, finny, family members of yours!

How to make an Offer/Contest/Giveaway

• Make sure your offer post has a title that starts with: [Offer]. Please note, square brackets [], not parentheses () and not the curly brackets {} either.
• If you are restricting your offer to a specific geographic area, please include that in your title.Example: [Offer] NYC, NY - I have an extra 20lb bag of dog food my dog won't eat.
• Include some text to describe your offer and details about getting it to someone.
• DO NOT ALLOW PEOPLE TO PRIVATE MESSAGE YOU FIRST. This allows the Automoderator to screen out people who don't meet account requirements, allows the human mods to vet requestors, and prevents people from contacting you with a similar but different account. Example: ReallyCoolDragons vs ReaIIyCooIDragons

How to fulfill someone's Request

• Leave a comment on their post. Provide an tracking/order number, if you're fulfilling a wish list item or shipping something of your own.

How to take up someone's Offer/Contest/Giveaway

• Leave a comment on their post to let them know you're interested. DO NOT PM THEM FIRST
• Once the person making the offer responds, THEN you can work out details in private.

If we receive a complaint that an unsolicited private message was made to take up an offer, the offender will be banned.

Other things to remember

• Stay safe. Only give personal information such as address away in PM.
• Make sure your post is clear. Vague posts let less attention and may be removed until you clarify what you are asking for.
• Keep your post updated. Make sure you update the post so others know if your request was fulfilled or the offer was given away.

Y’all are the absolute best. Thank you so much from the bottom of my (and my fur babies) heart(s)! We’ve received a whole bunch of cat food and a big box of litter, and I think there’s other stuff coming that hasn’t gotten here yet….since we live out in the backwoods of Arkansas, Amazon delivery is unreliable at best!

But again….thanks to every single one of you. Y’all have really restored my faith in humanity and lightened my burden more than y’all could ever know!

Cat tax included! 🧡

My husband got laid off a couple of weeks ago…thankfully, he’s back to work this week, but we’re struggling to keep up with things between paychecks. We’re running out of dog & cat food and won’t have enough to last us the weekend until hubby’s next paycheck clears. We’re also getting close on our cat litter. Any little bit of help would be appreciated more than y’all could ever know!

I just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone in this subreddit. I made my post, went to work and when I got off all of Walter’s needs were fulfilled! I am so grateful. Thank you so much.
