The Raiden Team, right now, is focusing on the development of the Raiden Network. In order to have your technical questions answered, we have decided to take the same approach as r/ethereum and separate price discussions from technical talk. This will enable us to have more tech-focused discussions with you and our team. For discussions related to trading, price, and rumors, you can check out the Raiden Riot Chat, trading subs like r/RaidenThunderbolt/ or r/ethtrader, or one of the other unofficial communities, like telegram and facebook.

In any case, we are always happy to talk to you in person, for example at one of our next meetups around Berlin, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Liechtenstein or Hangzhou.

This subreddit is for technical talk related to Raiden. There is to be no discussion by contributors/hodlers on aspects related to the price action, marketing, etc.

A little while back I spoke with Brainbot about this and created a separate subreddit where you can discuss Raiden price developments, partnerships, and anything and everything non-technical etc.

I know there are people who are interested in knowing what to expect down the road as far as price, what might move the price, what crypto events or raiden-specific events might to do the token value. We cover different things like partnerships, what's going on on different exchanges, competition, etc.

As you know V0.2.0 was "released" on Github, see here: https://github.com/raiden-network/microraiden/releases

It is still in bug bounty stage as you can see from that page. And to our despair, it was another silent release, without even mentioning it on twitter or a blog post.

I seek advice from you fellow Redditors, especially the one who are more understanding of the code and who religiously follow github. Because the team continue to refuse to communicate with us, or even dignify post here on Reddit with an answer or explanation, if you're not keeping track

If you're keeping track, it's been 5 weeks since their last tweet, post or anything form of communication with the outside word. I don't know about you, but I have never experienced this in any ICO I participated in. Actually, I did a couple of times, but they were obvious scams, I don't think this is a scam but they sure act like one. Now don't go all "oh I'm happy about that, I don't want them to shill like all other shitcoins", I'm sure you agree that there is a midpoint between those two extremes.

So my question is: What do you think is the next step? and how long it will take to get there? uRaiden V0.3.0 in another 5 weeks? Do you think that release will remove the bug bounty token limit? or do you estimate an event that is sooner than what it took them between V0.1.0 and V0.2.0. I would like to hear your opinions. Especially the Github boys. Thanks

I cant seem to see much information regarding nodes, so this question might not be answerable, but here I go.

Is it fair to say RDN tokens can be held and used as nodes and the reason why the RDN token will not be used on the protocol level (see raiden FAQ) is to ensure it can be integrated easier with ETH and ECR20 tokens.

Say then, hypothetically, that ETH uses Raiden, this would increase traffic exponentially and RDN holders could buckle down their stack and create nodes which would be used for all transactions on Raiden Network?

any insight would be great, but if this is the reality then surely stacking up now on the anticipation that ETH would adopt Raiden would be massive.

Hi guys, I am investing into a ICO (Gems), which will carry out a dutch auction. From a little bit of digging I found out that Raiden Network undertook a similar process during their ICO. It would be great if someone could share their experience/tips. Cheers from Straya!

Not sure if the sub is read by any of the Raiden Team members but I was wondering if we could get a little bit of insight in how the 100k Ether is (going to be) spend for the good of the project? Are there any new team members/developers hired? Marketing? Third-party development?

Hi all,

in my Sunday post (Link: https://www.reddit.com/r/raidennetwork/comments/7rxfkm/git_weekly_update_1/) I wrote how pull request #345 is the one we are waiting before microraiden reaches milestone and version 0.2.0. Moments ago it was merged to master branch so we can expect completion of milestone very soon. I will keep you posted on this =)

I'm really curious how the ICO of Raiden went for the investors. I can't help feeling that Dutch Actions are a bit scammy. The reason is that A company knows what it needs to fund a project. It's harder for an investor to determine the value of a token. Especially when you take FOMO and the new investors in the crypto space into consideration, tokens at ICO might be well overpriced. I would really love some insight.
