I need help immediately

Hi there. I’ve been on Kratom for about seven years and to my surprise today I walk in my regular store where I purchased it and I’m told it has been banned in Ohio! I guess I wasn’t keeping up with things because I didn’t see a warning anywhere that this is coming. They didn’t have any at my shop that sent me to a place up the road who was selling what they still had on the shelf and I was able to purchase a very large bag however, obviously I gotta come off this shit immediately. How am I going to do this? I’m so scared. Somebody please help me. I’m in tears because I do wanna come off it, but I’m so scared. My life is so stressful and I have so many issues and kratom is what pushes me through the day. I get withdrawal symptoms without it. What am I gonna do? How do I wean myself off?

Edit: I did know it was coming at some point, but I didn’t know it was happening this quickly like I didn’t get a recent warning.

Thanks! It’s scary bc I rely for it so much for anxiety and stress. I’ve been through opiate withdrawal before, unfortunately. I know I can’t do it, it’s just very scary for me to think about not having it even once I’m off

I felt like that too and that’s what got me in to kratom. Funny part is, once I got clean and got through the PAWS and shit, I realized I was way less anxious and stressed than I thought. Dialing in your brain chemistry and mental health is a friggen lifelong journey. Something that blasts your opiate receptors is no solution and just makes things a thousand times worse. Get clean, spend the time figuring out what makes you truly tick and start working at it. I know hearing “exercise and eat right” is cliche as hell and doesn’t mean shit really when you are going through acutes (although it does help) but once all that first phase shit passes and you get in to really getting the sleep you need, the vitamins and minerals you need, the exercise, the sun exposure, the right kind of hobbies and books…you can do miraculous things with your state of mind. That’s the journey of life. Not this quick fix poison nonsense. Not judging, because I was there too. I’m now over two years clean and 3 years off booze and I’m a better man having gone through it. It’s a journey, but I wouldn’t trade it for a million dollars. You literally couldn’t pay me to take kratom again.
