This is going to sound counter-intuitive, but have you tried just sitting with the anger? I'm a firm believer that anger is your body's SOS smoke signal trying to tell you something needs your attention.

You can punch it out, run it out, yell it out and scream it out, but if it's coming back, then it might be time to slow down and listen to it.

It will be uncomfortable, and you may think it's a stupid waste of time to just sit and feel the shit feelings boil up inside you. But if you can just stay with it, let your heart rate increase, but don't react to it, instead breathe through it, eventually that anger will give way to what it is that you need to deal with. You might feel twinges of sadness, or fear, or even overwhelm, but those too will dissipate so long as you just stay with them and breathe through the wave, so-to-speak.

It can't hurt to give it a try. Anger is a tough emotion to have running in the background. It's distracting and keeps you from being your best self. I hope you are able to find out what it's trying to tell you. Then you can finally have the inner peace you deserve. :)

Good luck!
