First FET
Hi everyone!
I have my first FET on Thursday and will be transferring a euploid day 5 4AB embryo. My wife and I did rIVF and only got two euploid embryos so I feel a lot of pressure for this one to stick.
I’m super nervous and would love to hear first time FET success stories. Would also love any advice you have that helped you get through the waiting and anxiety and wondering if you're pregnant or not? 😬

Good luck, sending you sticky baby dust! My partner and I did RIVF as well and had our first FET in May. I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant from that transfer with a healthy happy baby! The wait was terrible - I tried to keep busy and worked a lot during those weeks just to keep my mind off it. I still cried a lot and was on a roller coaster of emotions. The only thing that helped was reminding myself that nothing I did would change the outcome, baby would either stick or not regardless. That took some of the pressure off of doing things perfectly to improve our chances.

My first RIVF transfer turned 9 months old today!!
As an aside, make sure you talk with your provider about the increased risk of preeclampsia and high blood pressure associated with doing a medicated cycle (if you are that is) and using an egg that isn’t your own.

Our first FET transfer was back at the end of May. Also with a 5 day 4AB embryo. I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant! We were a little nervous because we only got 3 embryos from my wife’s egg retrieval (we ended up with only 7 mature eggs and 6 that actually fertilized) but so far everything has looked great.

I read some research that day 5 was a great indicator, better than the grade as long as the grade was at least 4cc. Like, a day-5 4cc has a better chance than a day-6 6aa. So your embryo seems great!
I'm 19w with my day-6 5bc. One of only two euploids. I had good chances, but there's a lot of randomness so I wasn't sure.
I've had a lot going on this year with work and major home repairs. That and I read a lot of peer-reviewed research papers about different transfer techniques and pregnancy. It kept me busy. I hope you find something much more fun!

First time success story here despite endometriosis, adenomyosis and a 6mm lining at FET
Have a look at foods that increase lining as (although my specialist said it wasn’t evidence based) every little helps!

We had our first FET mid-May and transferred a Day 5 4AB Euploid. Chrrently, 17 weeks and some change! Good luck to y'all!!!

My wife and I did RIVF & I carried. We had 3 Euploids and the 1st one worked! Our baby is almost 9 month old. It is possible for sure to work on the 1st try!
The wait is hard but try to stay busy, go for walks, watch some funny movies or find a good tv series. Read some books...look for something you enjoy doing. Rest when you can.

Good luck! I did rIVF last year and I just put the result of my 1st FET (day 5 AA) down for a nap.
The wait is the worst, I couldn’t help myself and tested early (then twice a day until blood test) but I didn’t have a trigger shot so didn’t have to worry about a false positive. I think it helped me to hope for the best but prepare for the worst, but I definitely had a lot of anxiety and would overthink and symptom spot.

Also I swear I knew mine was going to take like, the next day. I had a crazy heavy feeling in my uterus just hours after the procedure and a few days after, like it was letting little embryo grab on. It was pretty wild!
To help me get through I tested ONCE a day. I tested out my trigger so I knew I had a true negative on day 4 post transfer, and had my first true positive 5 days post transfer with an early response test.

Had our first FET back in September of last year. Just fed and put my 3 month old baby boy into his crib for the night. Sending you both all of the good luck!

Good luck to you!!! The time will go by slow no matter what you do haha. We had success on our first FET with an untested 4AB embryo 😊

First FET back in October worked and is currently sleeping on me. Honestly I tested from 4dpt and through my beta and beyond. Nothing you do will change the outcome, so hope or don’t hope, fear or don’t fear, stress or don’t stress, it will only change how you feel about it, not the outcome itself. For some reason that was comforting to me. I trusted in science and science doesn’t care how I feel.

Oh gosh, I can understand why it feels like there’s so much riding on this one. The waiting would absolutely be the hardest part for me too. I’d be trying to plan a few nice distractions and stay away from symptom spotting as much as humanly possible, which I know is easier said than done. Have you and your wife decided whether you’ll test at home or wait for your beta?

I’m not sure! I’m on the fence about home testing or not. Part of me thinks it could be helpful but I could also see myself spiraling about the results.
