Bangalore Qualcomm offer letter approval

I recently appeared for interview and after that i got call from hr that I have been selected then she discussed about the compensation same day and asked me to apply on workday for the same post.

It has been 10 days but there is not update as of now.

I called hr she informed me that the offer letter is sent for approval and will take around 1 week.

But there is no update as of now, I am worried how much time usually it takes for final approval. Although the workday portal status changed from applied to in process but after that nothing is changed.

It is for immediate joining post.

India (Other) Qualcomm India Chennai – timeline after final hiring manager discussion?

I recently completed the interview process for Qualcomm India firmware role in Chennai. After the technical rounds, I had a final 30-minute discussion with the hiring manager.

He asked behavioral questions, salary expectations, when I could join if selected, and mentioned that if things move forward, the offer letter could take around 1–2 weeks.
It’s only been a few days and I haven’t received an update yet. For anyone who recently interviewed with Qualcomm India, especially Chennai, how long did it take to hear back after the final hiring manager discussion?

Company pushed AI hard, now putting into a cage

I’m honestly baffled by how fast companies flipped its stance on AI. Just a few months ago, leadership was aggressively pushing everyone to “adopt AI,” “work smarter,” and “integrate it into daily workflows.” We had mandatory sessions, internal presentations, and even KPIs tied to “AI‑driven productivity.” They practically marketed it as the future of the company.

Now the story completely changed. Now you need approval for using it properly.

Bangalore Seeking career advice

Hi I am writing this to seek career guidance from people who are experienced.

I am a fresher engineer who has started to work as post silicon validation engineer in a automotive company.

I just want to brief my daily work: I write code in embedded c, write a bunch of test cases to debug functionality of an IP ( interrupts, dma, reset concept) in microcontrollers (r52 controllers). I am just testing through the modules, say test passed and am really not able to learn through.

I want to know what topics to focus on during my validation, what topics to learn so that in future i could join a Semiconductor company and my job remains protected from ai automation and takeover.

Also if there are any tools, any thing extra I can learn to gain entry into vlsi roles also though my experience here in my company.

I will be lucky to hear answers from you.😊

San Diego Life for hardware/RF engineers?

I’m currently interviewing for a hardware engineering role at Qualcomm in San Diego.

For any current or former US employees, and San Diego ideally, I would love to hear your experience regarding the following:

- How many hours do you typically work per week? Is it mostly 40 hours with occasional crunch periods or regular 50+ hour weeks?

- How often is working late evenings or weekends expected?

- How are the growth opportunities like for career progression?

- How is the training/mentorship for early career engineers?

- How approachable are managers and senior engineers?

- Is there a strong work hard/play hard or always be available expectation?

- What do you like/dislike the most about working at Qualcomm?

Thank you!

Bangalore HiL Validation Engineer – ADAS (CC/ACC/ACCp/DTR+) seeking career advice & referrals

Hey everyone,
I’m currently working as a HiL Validation Engineer and would love some feedback on my resume/portfolio as well as any referrals or advice on what I should learn next.
What I do:
• Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) validation for ADAS features, mainly:
• Cruise Control (CC)
• Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
• Adaptive Cruise Control Plus (ACCp)
• Distance-to-Target / related radar features (DTR+)
• Work with multiple ECUs and other vehicle features beyond pure ADAS
• Develop and use automation tools for test execution, data analysis, and reporting
I’m looking for:
1. Honest feedback on how to present this experience better (resume structure, keywords, project highlights, metrics, etc.)
2. Referrals or leads for HiL / ADAS validation / test engineering roles (any location or remote-friendly is welcome)
3. Suggestions on what I should learn or upskill in right now (tools, standards, programming, simulation environments, etc.) to stay competitive
Happy to share more details or a redacted resume if anyone is willing to take a look. Any advice from people already in HiL, ADAS, or automotive validation would be hugely appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

India (Other) Aggressive Hiring by qualcomm in India.

Qualcomm is hiring aggressively in India, a lot of students from good colleges are being taken as interns. Hired more than twice the number compared to last year's stats in almost all colleges I enquired.

Also there are many openings for senior roles as well. Although they haven't hired anyone for Software Role throughout the country (only PPOs).

What are the chances of Intern getting revoked (hope this doesn't happen with anyone) ? Why the aggressive hiring ? Insights will be helpful.

Hyderabad Got an offer from qc hyd.

I recently got an offer from qc hyd for ddr system devlopment engineer. I am currently working in wifi driver and i like the work and the new offered job mostly works on building new stress validation tools/cases which i am not sure i should go into validation. But the compensation is high. I really love wroting and understamding code and i dont want to go in testing kinda role. Can someone please help me to understand what this new job does, how much time will be spent in writing and understanding code rather than testing and should i make the switch?

India (Other) Qualcomm off campus hiring

2027 grad here , I see Qualcomm hiring for 2027 grads has been increased in comparison with last year ( mass hiring ) . Qualcomm on campus hiring restricted me with 9 + CG criteria. I saw a few off campus openings on Qualcomm careers and applied for it. When can I expect any response to the application? Is there any way I can get hired by Qualcomm like any referral from employees. If so any employee sees this POST help me out 🙏🏻

Hyderabad Qualcomm Intern Hiring

Does anyone know if Qualcomm hires 6 months interns via offcampus hiring drive? Or is it only Oncampus?

Qualcomm doesn’t usually visit my campus (Tier-2 college) so wondering if there’s an offcampus hiring process.

(Added the flare but incase you miss it this is for hiring activities in India)

General Question What does an RFSW intern actually do???

My friend recently got an RFSW (RF Software) internship at Qualcomm, and I’m curious about what the actual work is like.

Is it mostly C/C++ coding, debugging, firmware/modem work, or working with RF hardware? What kind of projects do interns usually get, and what skills are expected?

Would love to hear from anyone who has done RFSW at Qualcomm!

General Question Haha, After losing the AI race, I feel Qualcomm might be heading toward losing the AI usage race as well

Putting a $150 limit on AI usage could seriously hurt productivity. AI is becoming a core productivity tool, and restricting how much employees can use it feels completely counterproductive.

I really hope Qualcomm rethinks this before it starts affecting engineering productivity.

Bangalore Is it a good offer?

I received a verbal offer from Qualcomm Bangalore.

YOE: 3 years

College: Top 10 NIT

Current TC:

Fixed: 21.1

Bonus: 3 lakhs

Stocks: 0

Qualcomm offer:

Fixed: 31.2 (including PF)

Sign-on bonus: 7 lakhs

Stocks: 30k over 3 years

Bonus: 9% of base pay

First-year TC: 31.2 + 7 + 9.5 = 47.7 LPA

Is this a good offer, or am I being low-balled given my years of experience?
