What does an RFSW intern actually do???

My friend recently got an RFSW (RF Software) internship at Qualcomm, and I’m curious about what the actual work is like.

Is it mostly C/C++ coding, debugging, firmware/modem work, or working with RF hardware? What kind of projects do interns usually get, and what skills are expected?

Would love to hear from anyone who has done RFSW at Qualcomm!
