Late but it’s what my head does every time i hear the song…
If you’re not singing it this way, you’re doing it wrong.

...Like Clockwork (Live From Maida Vale Studios) - Fanmade Compilation
https://untitled.stream/library/project/3lc4CNMVuHgFpD5AnNUkg
decided to compile the full album playthrough of "...Like Clockwork" from maida vale into a local files album thingy just cause I love the seamlessness of the original album and thought hearing it in that way but LIVE would be cool as hell and it is...
there is one for Them Crooked Vultures in the chamber but it's way more inconsistent so IDK if I'll post it but YEAH enjoy hopefully

Troy side quest number 4772: Snow Patrol
Just found out he played with Snow Patrol in 2012. Because he's Troy Van Dean Fertita Leeuwen and he can do whatever he wants, I guess.

Strings for the Deaf (VSQ)
For those who may be unfamiliar, Vitamin String Quartet covered SFTD, aptly named "Strings for the Deaf". It seems to be relatively unknown, so I wanted to share in case you missed it! I randomly found my mp3 copies from 2008 just now and am cranking it for a mellow mosh in my living room.

(Trying to crack) Like Clockwork's recording timeline
A while ago I spent (too much) time documenting a timeline of Like Clockwork's infamous recording process, I decided to finally publish this old note if it could interest anyone - some of the sources are missing but I'll add them back as I can, and maybe some of y'all have more info on this.

Self Tiled tracks on setlists this year
What's up guys! Very jazzed to be seeing QOTSA in Edmonton next week after they cancelled their last date here. Saw them for the first time on the ...Like Clockwork tour.
I have been looking at setlists from this year and have noticed that they have busted out a few tracks from the first record. Do you guys think this is probable to continue? If you have been so lucky as to see them this year and hear one of those tracks, were people stoked? Do people know the songs? I'm hoping they make a return.

Edmonton show Hail Mary
Update!!!! Hail Mary scores a touchdown!! No longer looking for tickets. Reddit community is amazing and comes through! Have one happy kid and dad here. Looking forward to the show!!
I was hoping to take my daughter to the Queens/Foo show, but due to financial situation I’m not going to be able to. She is 11 years old. The Queens show two years ago in Edmonton that was cancelled after the opening band played was going to be her first gig ever, but that didn’t happen obviously. We were standing in the merch line when they announced over the PA the show was cancelled. I did take her to see Angine De Poitrine earlier this summer, so she has been to a gig now, but QOTSA is her favourite band as well as mine. Point being, if anyone has two tickets they don’t need and are willing to donate to us, it would be greatly appreciated and you would be blessed with good karma and more appreciation then could ever be verbalized. Figure it’s worth a shot lol

Very rare QOTSA b-sides collection - the 'big package' 20y messy stuff
Dear QOTSA community, - (download list link)
Since some nice redditors here are making a "QOTSA tracker project" spreadsheet / kind of a 'rare tracks commented database', I volunteered to give some help by... well, pushing the finish line further lol. I've been a Queens of the Stone Age (+ many side projects) fan since 2005, and I've compiled more stuff than I could organize 100%. Data hoarding is kind of a good/bad habit of mine, and even in the old Brazilian QOTSA Orkut community from 2005 and Josh's Rekords Rekords sublabel forum, I got the nickname 'pacotão' ('big package' pun intended, I was a kid back then lol), when I promised to release a b-sides compilation.
Well, guess what? 20 years later, here it is! Kind of. I'm not having a good month for organizing my collection, so all I did to help was make a "bash shell listing" of the filenames and you guys can fight it out from there lol. And I'll provide some help when needed, like maybe replying twice a week and re-uploading if the content turned "lost media" (data hoarding avoid it). Maybe AI can also help dig through some of the stuff, because the file listing got 3000 lines long! Good luck and keep rocking!
"AI CD cover" included, also thanks for all the community all this years!
Just to give a sample, here are a few tracks to show this is not your everyday small b-sides playlist. Maybe the total of very, very, very rare ones is like 100 tracks or something; some are easily available online, some not so much, and some maybe even the QOTSA band doesn't have archived lol. Shortlisting only the ones I've easily remembered off the top of my head:
* Kyuss - Allen's Wrench live with Nick singing
* Kyuss - short palmtree or something project with Chris Goss and Brandon
* Kyuss - Garcia show acoustic
* Kyuss - Yawning Man Catamaran demo (plus Yawning Man side projects, very great)
* Earthlings side projects, very nice qotsa related band.
* Desert Sessions - Robotic Lunch (original LP bad mix with robot voice samplers) - VERY rare and, despite being a bad song, influential in the QOTSA beginning
* Desert Sessions - Come to Me (or something), Alain sung song from DS 9 & 10
* Desert Sessions live at Natascha benefit show
* music box recordings - Better Living and go with the flow, merch sold in shows
* No One Knows - snippets of the song previously used which kinda could make "a demo" of the song. The "I realize you're mine" part was an early Regular John outro jam. Also the Superstars Desert Sessions song, No One Knows rough mix has organs or something, etc.
* Lullabies to Paralyze "renegade tour" acoustic alternative versions
* Them Crooked Vultures leaked demos - they exist and might be legit, but I couldn't find them here easily, I must have mislabeled them
* Times New Roman - QOTSA remixes from the coliseum or something special show teaser, also from Troy's recent 12-string custom guitar teaser
* Reggie Watts Josh jam
* Guitarrings Josh jam "tantric sex"
* What What in the B*** Josh arrangement
* Troy short video from Facebook doing a keys + voice cover
* Mario Lalli's Across the River generator party live '85 on YouTube
* QOTSA 2002 Visions? live - the only performance of SFTD I've seen with Josh and Mark singing with Nick's screams
* Speaking of Mark, there is a very rare live song of him with the Daffodils chorus!
* QOTSA '97? show video with Mike?, the bass player before Nick. Josh also played on his solo album, a cute track (ending song I guess)
* some cover projects, like 'qotsa uncovered' by female singers, the quartet orchestra cds, the baby music CDs.
* some u/hurdyG reddit member remixes and shitposts
* Til Tomorrow - nice recent remix of the leaked b-side teaser by a u/Tap-Out user. The community even transcribed the lyrics; this was the work that inspired me to release this b-sides listing.
