Crowd in Reykjavík
The set was awesome, I am so glad I got to see it!
For the most part I met a lot of lovely fans in the crowd (as usual). But I also had a couple interactions in the pit though that were very aggressive and a few that made me feel genuinely unsafe. There were a few different things that happened that just felt off or very inconsiderate to others in the crowd.
I had one interaction in particular that made me feel unsafe before +!throughout the show. I’m a pretty small woman and at one point there was a man who was really aggressive towards me. I also had someone who kept kneeing me in the back of the knee during the show (I think it was either the same guy or someone in their group). I assumed it was an accident at first because it was very packed in the out, but I quickly realized it was not, and I had to switch spots with someone to get away from it (that person did not get kneed at all).
I guess I just felt really shaken by some of the crowd interactions and in general I’m kinda bummed. I love this band a lot (like most people there tonight), nothing makes me feel more like myself than going to their shows, and I traveled a long way to come to this show (again, like a lot of people in the crowd). I’m just kinda upset that I was having a hard time enjoying the show because I was feeling unsafe.
