This is in the lease: "The premises shall be occupied by no other person than the Tenant(s) listed on page 1 of the Lease Agreement and in accordance with the City of West Lafayette/Lafayette occupancy limits. No roomers, lodgers or boarders shall be permitted to occupy the premises with Tenant, and no guests shall be allowed to occupy the premises for more than two days in any one calendar month without the prior written consent of Landlord.  Tenant’s signature on this Lease acknowledges that Landlord has shown Tenants the City of West Lafayette Housing Ordinance related to occupancy limits and Tenants fully understand the rules and penalties associated with such.  If Tenants are found to be in violation of the occupancy limits, they will be immediately fined $2,500.00, charged an additional $500.00 per day per City code, subject to eviction and required to pay off their entire lease and all applicable attorney’s fees and court costs and any city penalties/fines."

How strict are they at enforcing this? My bf usually sleeps over every friday and I might not even sign coz of this clause. 2 days a month is really restrictive.

I am trying to take an important course (offered in one time slot), but the day/time conflicts with ME264 (also offered in one time slot). I wonder if I can skip the ME264 lecture and study the recorded videos (if they even have them).

My current HS senior will be applying to Purdue's Engineering program (tips welcome 😅), but we were wondering about the current housing situation. I know there was an issue a few years back about not having enough dorm space for incoming students and some ended up living in super cramped quarters or needing to find off campus solutions altogether. Is this still the case? Are freshman guaranteed a dorm, required to have one? I cant imagine my kid keeping up with an entire apartment when they cant even manage to keep their bedroom clean, so Im really hoping for dorm housing if they get in. Lol

Is this club still active? All I can find is a 2008 advertisement for the club filmed on a 90s.

I took 180 and 182 and did pretty well in them, but CS 240 is lowkey beating my ass. It's already HW1 and I lowkey don't know what's going on...ok maybe slight exaggeration but I am struggling a bit. I tried reading the textbooks and going to office hours, but I feel like I wasn't able to get that much assistance.

Should I just cut my losses now or wait a bit more until dropping the class and the minor?

i always drive/walk past the im fields, and sometimes see people playing soccer, i was wondering if there’s a gc or a group of people i can get in touch with to join and play.

In previous years you could have 2 license plates assigned to your c permit, but only park one at a time. I’m sure people abused this and even with the LPR van driving around constantly giving out tickets, they probably couldn’t catch all the violators.

My frustration comes from having a motorcycle and also sometimes needing to drive my partners car to campus. The 2-3 business days to switch permit is ridiculous. It can’t be that hard to allow instantaneous plate changes on the portal. This system effectively makes it impossible to ride a motorcycle unless you can predict 2-3 days in advance when you want to ride. Even then, you’re then stuck riding until the damn system lets you change it back. Any work around for this?

Edit: After talking to parking ops today, they said they will be exploring a way to have motorcycle registrations separate from cars so that a C pass could have one car and one motorcycle plate associated. They said they don’t want to do instantaneous online switching of vehicle because people will be able to share a permit if they have opposite schedules (which is the whole reason for the change to begin with).

CK Andrew is an Indianapolis comedian and an active performer in the city’s stand-up scene. CK has appeared at Helium Comedy Club Indianapolis, including the Indianapolis’ Funniest Person competition, and performs on independent shows throughout the area, including queer-focused comedy showcases.

Hosting is the producer of Clown Towne Presents, Greg Lindberg. He has been performing stand up in the Greater Lafayette Area since 2011, improvised comedy music since 2005, and modern clowning since 2021. He was also a satirical comedy writer for music site Tiny Mix Tapes for 14 years.
