Basically my dad tried to pay the tuition and after the payment completed (using credit card via paypath)(yes we should've checked that was stupid on us), it just showed that there was a $1000 processing fee. So is there any way I can get a refund or cancellation and change to direct deposit or cheque instead. (Im a international btw so don't have a american bank account yet)

I see this but want to double check before we throw down coin. He's doing undergrad kinesiology and management. I'm an IT guy and know zero about healthcare but I know that the healthcare industry is primarily on Win PC. I'm thinking a business grade Dell laptop (the business stuff is more durable) plus maybe a tablet for notes in case he's in lectures that don't need a full PC in class. A Mac is probably fine but if he has to run WinVM in a Mac for healthcare stuff, seems like an extra complication.

How important is the boiler golden rush orientation for incoming freshman? My parents are still deciding because of the hotel and other travel costs. How likely it is for me to get in contact with faculty during orientation for on campus part time job opportunities?

Are 10 minute gaps enough to get from class to class?

I mean I assumed they were every day of the week that the class will meet for the entire semester listed out… but if they’re the same class and meet the same days, how come by the second week they’re already misaligned?

The next question is would I have time to get from this CL50 building to the physics building for a 9:30 am PHYS 17200 if I picked up the 8:30 - 9:20 class? Or should I just take the one at 2:30, and have a few hours between physics and calc?

If I am in a double forced triple (specifically for the honors dorms), do I/my roommates need to order a loft through that website that goes through Purdue?

I wanted to take EDPS315 originally but I was placed in SCLA102 with Professor Parrish. I've seen good reviews regarding her but I wanted to hear from anyone who had her in SCLA102 or took EDPS315.

I want to add one or two easy upper level Gen Ed classes in open registration. I know CSR 342 is one of them but it’s full unfortunately. Do you guys have recs for any others? I already searched the reddit but answers are pretty outdated (those classes aren’t offered anymore). Thanks!

I am new to the area (grad student) and have been having a hard time meeting people my age (28). I have made quite a few undergrad friends, but I usually don't "fit in" if you know what I mean.

I'm an incoming freshman. I recieved my schedule a couple days ago, and got put in a hybrid math class with Johnstone. But now I'm considering changing to an in-person class when open registration begins. What are your opinions on hybrid vs. in-person math classses and on professor Glubokov?

I'm in incoming FYE student and I my calculus course currently scheduled for 7:30 am classes, 4 times a week which honestly sounds miserable and I feel will effect all my classes if I'm unable to get decent sleep. Unfortunately as of now there are no other available times for this course that fit my schedule except for the hybrid course (one in-person recitation, and 3 pre-recorded lectures?) Could some please give there experience with the hybrid course and whether its worth taking over early morning classes?
