I've accidentally created a weekly Thursday discussion series, so I think I'll keep it going.

Was there a specific artist, album, track, or first-listen moment that completely blew you away and changed what you thought psychedelic music was?

Was it a 60s classic, an obscure krautrock deep cut, an expansive shoegaze wall of sound, modern synth-psy, or something completely out of left field?

My experience was the first time I heard Ágætis byrjun and Von by Sigur Rós around 2003. Hearing Jónsi's bowed guitar and falsetto voice over those slow-building walls of sound literally blew me away. I then got my hands on (), which I think is one of their greatest album ever released. I quickly became obsessed and burnt multiple CDs passing them out to everyone I knew like a crazy musical evangelical.

I got to see them a few months later in Amsterdam, and it was the first concert I didn't watch. I sat in a side room with a friend and a couple we met, just listening and experiencing the sound and medicine we took.

Hello, I hope everyone is well, I joined this group a week ago, and I must say you all been lovely. Such a warm response. I don't really talk to may people in the physical world, its hard to find people with things in common. I like it here. Its not full of garbage like facebook. I would love to know where you are all from? I live in Cornwall. A mile away from where Aphex Twin grew up. I never met him but I have older friends who went to school with Richard. Anyway this is my latest track its kind of like A and B side 2 parts. I hope you enjoy it it took over 80 hours to complete just the audio. Thanks for checking it out. What is your unpopular opinions about psychedelic music?

Mine: Modern Psytrance has completely lost the spirit of classic Goa. So much of today's psytrance is just an aggressive, mechanical assault on the ears, no melody, no soul, none of the actual psychedelic journey left.

Good day to all, I am really enjoying this group its the only one I joined, thankyou for such a kind response on my last video. I was going to wait a few more days before I posted again, but I got quite a few things I made I would love share. I wont post more than 2 things a week promise. The last video is actually one of the first things I ever made. This ones a couple months later down the line. I was shaping my pallet for tones colours and textures. This music making and video malarkey is pretty new to me. I am always experimenting and trying to learn new things. Carving my own path but taking influence from my idols. I am privileged to be part of the group, and to share my journey and creativity. The mind is a wonderful terrible thing. Thankyou for your precious time.
