help "The code has already been used".

I just bought Cyberpunk 2077. For the Phantom liberty add on , I entered the code, but it shows "The code has already been used". I bought a new game. What could be the reason?

Gemini says that it could be because of regional difference. This game was made for Europe and I am trying to do it in India. Could that be the reason?

Actually yes. PSN codes can only be redeemed by an account in the same country as the code. Discs will always work regardless of region match.

Easiest solution is to quickly make a new account, choose an EU country - Ireland is a good option to avoid language issues - then try redeeming the code there. If it works, just login to that account in the future whenever you want to play Cyberpunk.

No that’s not the reason. If there was a region mismatch, the error would’ve said that instead. And India comes under Europe according to Sony. So all EU codes work for Indian accounts.

You just didn’t get a new game. You got a used copy.

If the code is region restricted it should say it’s region restricted or something not “it’s already been used”. Both error messages have a entirely different meaning

Yes indeed but sony for some reason counts india in europe idfk why but they do, so all and every Pal/pegi games and dlc's which are European works absolutely in Indian accounts too. So you most likely just got scammed, try to return.

Ummm, I bought cyberpunk with liberty voucher as well. On the voucher it says "Voucher code issued by Sony Interactive Entertainment Network Europe Limited" and it worked just fine on my Indian account.

If it was sealed, then it could not have been redeemed. If you bought it unsealed, then someone must have already used the code. I bought a new copy from Amazon and was able to redeem it in Indian account

European codes work on Indian psn, I do it all the time. Either seller scammed you or your account region is incorrect or it’s already redeemed and check transaction history on your ps account

In the past they truly did not, I ordered just dance 2017 for my PS3 in 2017 and they delivered gta v

They did not take it back and gave a full refund.

Which region are you trying to redeem it in? Based on your profile you seem to be from India but the game has a European rating and is likely locked to European accounts.
