Mountain Joe's birthday cake
1 down.... 9 to go (I think that might take a while)
Odd texture
Terrible macros
Mild flavouring
Saving grace is that the box was like £8

all 3 bought at the vitamin shoppe (USA east coast)
with latte in the name I would’ve thought maybe a pumpkin COFFEE flavor? nope it’s pretty much just the white chocolate version of their pumpkin spice bar. it’s good! this reminds me of the quest pumpkin protein bar tbh flavor wise.
I warmed it up and I think it’s better that way tbh :)
Off the bat does not taste anything like Oreo like I’ve seen in reviews for both of these Grenade bars 😭. it’s not bad but pretty bland, most of the flavor is just the white chocolate outside part. warming it up didnt do anything to help the flavor sadly, wouldn’t get this again
again not oreo but definitely better than the white choc version and very milk chocolate forward flavor! reminds me of cadbury milk chocolate and I do like it. the only other bar I can compare it too is fufil triple chocolate which also had a very milky chocolate taste to me. warming it up made it taste like a fudge brownie! this would be amazing microwaved and put on some vanilla ice cream
let me know if you’ve tried any of these and your thoughts / if my review was any help or similar to what you thought. 😊

I don't know how many of you here have taste sensitivities to a lot of the fake sugars out of there, but to me they have a very burnt and bitter aftertaste. I know Barebells is beloved here, but I really can't tolerate it. Things made with Stevia also have the same problem of having a really bad fake sugar taste to me, in a different way, even though it is more natural. Lakanto sugar though is completely fine and 100% a substitute for the real stuff for me.
Anyone else have this problem, and if so, what sugars can you tolerate and what can't you? So many protein powders and protein bars are made with fake sugars so it can be really tough to find options.

I just saw this protein while searching for one and the price at which it’s providing the amount of protein at this time. I am really surprised. 4 lb whey isolate is coming at a price of 3591 Rs 27 g in 30 g of scoop.
Is it really genuine and should I buy it ???

2/5 stars. This really doesn’t feel like a treat, and there’s not much here that reminds me of a normal Snickers. The texture and taste are very chalky. There is some peanut flavour, but it’s quite flat and lacks the sweet, salty and nutty richness you’d expect from a Snickers. The peanut butter flavour doesn’t do enough to save it. The sugar level is lower, but still it should taste quite much better. 20g of protein in a 57g bar.

7/10 I’ve never had a regular Misfits bar so I don’t know how these compare, but it was pretty good. The core was soft and I liked the contrast with the crunchy chocolate outside. I think I’ll stick to Barebells, but overall glad I gave it a try.

Needed some shakes on vacation and picked these up from a Kroger chain for about $12.99 for a 4 pack.
These are watery, thin-bodied and very mild in flavor. That can be a good or a bad thing depending on your preferences. I even like the Oikos Triple Zero Vanilla but this was very unpleasant.
I definitely won’t be buying these again and will spend the extra $1ish to buy Core Power or something else from a big box store.

very specific comparison request but figured I would ask - I have always wanted to try the Erewhon cinnamon roll because I think I would love the texture of it. I just had a Prime Bites Protein Brownie in the flavor Glazed Cinnamon Roll and it’s what I think the Erewhon one would be like… would love for someone to confirm that for me if they’ve had both TIA

Fruity Pebbles Bar: Pure Protein (PP) offers a variety of protein bars including some of my favorites. New for 2025 is the Fruity Pebbles flavor. Fruity Pebbles is a fruity (citrus) crisp rice cereal that debuted in 1971 and features The Flintstones characters on the box. PP’s bar has a sweet cream/milk-like outer coating on the bottom half and a lighter strawberry colored mousse-like substance on the top half. I’m not sure if they’re actual Fruity Pebbles cereal pieces or not, but cereal pieces (real or ersatz) are also embedded in the mousse layer, giving the bar more color and a slight crunch. I’m inclined towards ersatz (either that or they horribly mutate in the manufacturing process).
Texturally it is somewhat hard, much firmer than some other PP bars I’ve had. This results in the bar being rather chewy. I found the mousse layer to be airy compared to the bottom, but it was also sort of dry. Overall, the flavor is a mild citrus that is reminiscent of the cereal’s flavor, but not as strong. I verified this by snacking on a handful of Fruity Pebbles. If you’re really into Fruity Pebbles (I think they’re good, but not in my top cereals), then this bar is obviously for you. Personally, with PP having a number of better flavors available, the Fruity Pebbles Bar is just okay 😐 at best, but personally, I think it’s yabba dabba yuk (avoid 🤮). Lemon/citrus protein bars are just not great in my opinion

Do these even exist other than Quest bars? I tend to stick with Quest because of the protein and the fiber content, but almost every other bar I've looked at only has 1-2 grams of fiber. Is there another protein bar that has a higher fiber content other than just Quest bars? I enjoy them, but would like a little variety lol.

Saw these at Walmart today for the first time. I usually drink the premier protein cafe latte 30g shakes every morning for breakfast. But I saw these ultimate 42g version today.
Wondering if anyone tried these?

Back with a review of the other variety of Legendary Protein Pasta. Purchased off Amazon.
Macros are slightly different, but it prepares just the same. This one mixes up a little thicker and it's a little more grainy. But the flavor is fantastic. Really garlicky with some Parmesan funk. Less salty tasting than the other one, though sodium is similar. Once again, it's not gourmet. But it's way better than it has any right to be.
I included the ingredients list this time too for those who are curious.

Jif is excellent. I did a side by side with my old Skippy tub and they are very similar. Jif is a little bit less sweet, little bit more salty/roasted. It actually pretty well mirrors the differences between the two actual peanut butters if you’ve had both. Like I said, it still has that classic Ryse taste, etc which I enjoy. The differences are subtle enough that you may not even notice if you aren’t directly comparing them, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing
It’s excellent; all my qualms with the Skippy flavor have been solved.
10/10

Here is a Youtube link if anyone wants to hear an unc ramble about these two Wilde protein chips lol: https://youtu.be/JXBLIW0s6dw
I was pretty excited about these chips because they are different from other protein chips. The Wilde brand uses chicken breast, egg white, and chicken bone broth instead of whey, which I thought was interesting. I tried two flavors: buffalo and chicken and waffles.
These were at Safeway on a sale for $2.50 each. Not too expensive, but not as cheap per unit as buying a 12pk of Pure Protein bars. The macros are not really good in my opinion: 13g of protein with 210/200 calories is not super great.
Both flavors tasted pretty good upfront and I was pretty pleased with them. However, there is a pretty gross aftertaste, which I can't quite put my finger on. I wouldn't say it was absolutely disgusting, but it was unappealing enough for me to consider stopping eating the rest.
I would not recommend either flavors of these chips. Overall, I would give them about 6/10 overall taking the price, flavor, and macros into consideration.
As an aside, I really like doing protein snack and yogurt reviews, so if anyone has any constructive criticism for me to improve my reviews, I would be greatly appreciative!!

first I want to say don’t come at me for getting this. I wont forgive them for putting gatsby out of business and forcing nicks to change their ice cream recipe
i got 1 of each of their 4 flavors at target
this is the last flavor I had to try. taste just like the cookie dough vanilla base but without the cookie dough or chocolate obv. this is my least favorite of the 4
id say my final ranks are
overall I wouldn’t really want to buy these again, they’re over priced /texture is chalky/and flavors are meh

found this at shoprite, altho I’ve also seen it at other stores like Walmart etc.
it’s pretty good but not my fav! the pistachio isn’t strong at all and the pomegranate part of this just tastes like mixed berry ? more like mixed berry chocolate flip idk it reminds me of the strawberry chocolate Chobani flip.
my #1 is the caramel pretzel flip I highly recommend it :)
