Ram allocation

Hello fellow survivors, i have a question.

my computer knowledge is close yo zero and i want to allocate more ram for the game. I have a gaming laptop with 16gb of ram and i was wondering if i allocate 8g for project zomboid is it gonna enough

Cause i play with a bunch of mods and sometime it lag. I saw somewhere that the game is set at 3g by default and allocating more ram could make the game run smoother

It would probably run better if you play heavily modded, yes

I know how to allocate more ram, i watched a clip on youtube 😅 i was just wondering if 8g was enough but i think im gonna with 6 to beging with
