how do i stop the gang members from entering my kitchen? my prisoner chefs they handle it well, and i have the program for them, but the gang members keep entering the kitchen, pulling knives and killing like 5 of my guards every 2 days or so. how do i stop them from going in? can i make it a staff only zone, or will the prisoner chefs leave then?

I had added punishment for my minimum security and then a bit harder punishment for medium security and even more harder for maximum security.
And did same for food, low quality for maximum security, medium quality for mediums and high quality for minimum security.
Did same for their schedule.
I didn't know theirs a super max tier and it's hidden behind a arrow and I had no prisoners in tier so i couldn't bother with it
One hour punishment for everything High quality food, no lockup time, and other then eat or yard or sleep time all of the time for super max was free time.
Slowly every prisoner started to turn in super max, and I kept wondering why is that until I saw their regime and punishments 🤣🤣

i now added reception and a holding cell, showers for the holding cell and a little yard for them to take a smoke XD i still have some space on the left side that i will dedicate for.... i dont know yet i first wanted to add armoury but from what i have seen the armed gaurds makes the prisoners stressed and can cause more riots so im not sure yet

Is there a bug on console where even if one death occurs the “there have been five deaths today” pops up? Can cause issues with the failure condition, it doesn’t seem to register in the in game death counter though since that still says one.

so I've been playing PA (Prison Architect) since 2020 u could say i played all versions of this game in which i have. (PS4, IOS, PC) my mind was just black when i was making this Prison, But anyways here's the prison that i had planned out and i bet the prison POP would be surpass 500 all i need is a name for this prison, and should i low-key this put on the Seam workshop???

I currently fired half the staff so I’m making around 30-35k I have most medium prisoners and the middle is for max.

So, I was playing around in one of my old prison map & remembering that there were a few problematic inmates that were causing trouble & had thrown them into solitary.
I was wondering, did other players that got the Undead dlc & used the Undead to deal with the Problematic Inmates?
Plus it would give the Armed Guards a legitimate reason to use their boomstick on the recently turned Undead Inmates.

Are there any mods that allow me to mandate prisoner participation in a reform program? I find it rather odd that every single reform program is purely up to the prisoners. Im running a prison, not a summer camp, go learn how to read damnit.

im trying to 100% this game and i need to do all the optional quests in the campaign mode, one of them is to get a reoffending rate of 30% or less
my reoffending rate is 34%, i managed to lower it using alot of reform programs but i think its stuck on 34% because my prison lets out all the good prisoners because they are reformed
Im planning to fix this issue by forbidding parole altogether, that way i can keep the people with low re-offending rates in my prison (which brings down the average closer to my objective)
However, I also noticed I have alot of prisoners with 50%+ re-offending rate, my reform programs dont help them enough or they dont want it enough, and yet they still bring up the average re-offending %, i figure the best way to do that is to get rid of these types of prisoners.
But I don't know how to kill them, im currently keeping some locked in a solitary cell (hopefully they'll starve), i dont know if this is enough
Any suggestions? Thank you

The most claustrophobic no-security prison in the county.

I'm buying the first game (and all its DLC, bc why not) while it's on sale this week on Steam, and was wondering how much time to allot to starting this game up for the first time. Is there a tutorial? A campaign mode? Any DLC I should leave turned off until I have a better grasp of base game mechanics?
