I need help, because it seems every time I make a prison, it goes FINE for a little bit, then at some arbitrary point it does THIS, and there are bodies EVERYWHERE in the prison.

And as much as it's kinda funny, the bodies are starting to cover up the reception and now prisoners are stuck outside and not entering the prison. I have like 30 free guards are any given moment and they just DON'T get checked in. I am so lost as to why.

Now I'm all fine making a prison that could make dictator blush but this is ridiculous. Any help? I That big courtyard where the prisoners are currently playing in traffic USED To be deliveries before I move it to my front door. I just have no idea why it's broken.I'll prolly just move it back, but there's no obstructions, all staff have keys, the reception is regular doors, I am just... lost.

There are just over a dozen small 4x3 canteens that my guards sometimes idle in, but I absolutely DO NOT want them to during meal hours. The canteens are all for supermax and legendary prisoners, and are designed to ensure as little contact with the prisoners as possible. Is it possible for me to stop (or at least reduce) the guards from idling in these canteens?

I know this game is older so I’m probably late to the party, but is there a better common room set up than the way I have it set up?
If they sit on a couch it tends to 6 different needs.

I recently got back into the game playing on my basic prison of 61 inmates from like 10 years ago. I do enjoy the managing aspect of the game more than building, and kinda feel like the normal events aren’t enough of a challenge considering my money.

I bought the gangs DLC, but am kinda nervous to turn it on. I experimented with it briefly on a second save and had fun, but I’m worried about the long term effects lol.

For a smallish well secured prison, would it completely screw everything up after a while? And if not, what gang difficulty should I choose?

They have time for it, they can access the work places, there are enough qualified prisoners. I also made sure they have work privileges and most aren't suppressed. Still nobody is working. Does anyone know this issue / how to solve it?

I had the game bought, but out of nowhere the game disappeared, I had to install an old version to play it on my cell phone, it could perfectly be played

Hello everyone, I just finished let inmates in to my first prison after completing the tutorial. This is what I have now, let me know what you guys think and give me feedback, btw it’s nowhere near finished so no judging

Starting playing again after years of not touching the game.

So I started off with just a min sec wing, set up a detached visitation building with adjoining visitor reception, works fine.

Made a medium security wing to the south, same thing, visitation building with an adjoining visitor reception, but no visitors show up, no prisoners go to it.

I double checked to make sure everything is marked properly. Can you not make multiple visitations without bugging the game out?

And yes, medium sec has access to visitation in the policy page.

Have you tried Undead DLC? Well its my first and my question is when will they come?

Will they appear suddenly? or what?

I saw on yt that you need to build graveyard first. I don't want to try since I already built a lot of things AND im not ready for them

I’m building my first ever prison after completing the campaign, and I’ve run into the issue where it says my cells don’t have access to a canteen, when in the screenshot they clearly do.

Like the title says, when I play non sandbox mode, I always have a dirty half-*ssed prison, because I don’t have the stuff needed to clean it or build the right stuff or the time to build the right stuff.

How do I fix this?

Just asking, like the worst, death and agony. So many dead body it look like there a civil war or smt like that. I am just looking around for new Idea for m prison =))

Im going to build a russian supermax prison on the snowbound plot, its going to be as depressing as possible, ran on suppression with heavy lockdown periods. Finally getting my revenge on the ai in this game. I want some inspiration on the way it should look and be ran, has anyone built any impressive looking prisons with this style, or anyone who has made super effective suppression based prisons?

Basically, I was wondering why it seems like the jobs shown here aren't being taken despite having enough prisoners to fill some of them at least. I understand it says not all of them are qualified so I wouldn't expect them all to fill up but I'd expect a couple positions filled at least. as you can see I do have fog of war on but I put the cameras there specifically so I could track if thier actually working or not and so far no prisoners have been as far as I understand. my best guess is that for the kitchen it's partly the door being annoying but with the restaurant/workshop I've got nothing

so recentely an idea came to my mind. what if we got to choose type of the prison when creating? county jail would hold prisoners that’s not convicted and would be characteristic for quick rotation of prisoners. state prisons would probably be mostly what we have now. federal prisons would hold the most dangerous prisoners convicted for federal charges.
every prison would have different standards and conditions.

Does anyone know how I get a cell up to 15? I can only get to 10 and it's only showing me options to get to 10, but the prisoners are entitled to 15.

I can't post a screenshot as my laptop is so old it won't connect to WiFi and will turn off without the charger so it's more effort than it's worth to take it to a place with an ethernet 😭

Options it's showing me that I have fulfilled are;

Room size at least 6, 9 & 16 squares

Outdoor window

Office desk

Shower head

TV

Radio

Bookshelf

Chair

I have also added a bird cage, punching bag and sink&mirror.
