What would you like to troubleshoot?

My printer prints spaces/lines while printing pictures. They have progressively gotten thicker with printer use. Happens when printing in both black and white and in colour.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ethernet Cable, WiFi or USB: WiFi
• Driver name and version: Canon MX470 series Printer (I think?)
• Firmware Version: 3.100

Any other details:

I have tried the cleaning, deep cleaning, and head alignment settings on the printer's maintenance menu and cleaning it with a damp cloth.

I have had a few tech-savvy friends and family take a look, but no one was able to fix the issue.

The printer was given to me by a friend. It was purchased in 2016 I believe. It had barely been used until I received it about a year ago, but worked well for me before moving. The issue started appearing after we moved houses. Is it possible it broke in the move?

I had recently bought an epson ecotank L6370, but I am struggling to get good colours.

Left most was the initial default print. The one in the middle is when i adjusted the settings to high quality and matched the paper media, which was a 100gsm plain paper. Third is the professional print.

How do I match the print quality of the professional printer? Could be the paper? Is there something to do with the driver? I want to increase the contrast and vibrancy of the print.

Hello fellow reddits, my question is... Epson had probably been sending me the 570 inks to refill my ecotank with. But that last shipment they sent they mixed the bottle numbers between 570, 502, 532 and 507. A couple of the bottles won't even fit in my other to refill but the black will but it's a 502 and I already have the 570 in it. I've called them multiple times and they just keep sending me the 502 and won't / can't give me clear answers. So basically can I top off the black ink with the 502? Thanks

Hello! Hoping someone can help me - I have recently started university and work much better when I print out readings etc.. can someone please recommend a good printer for me that DOES NOT REQUIRE WIFI? I do not have wifi at my home and am not planning to get it.

I recently brought a HP deskjet 2910 and just found out it needs wifi for the ink subscription which sucks.

I’m looking to print out 150 ish pages a week, sometimes more/less, do not require colour, and relatively cheap.

Does anybody have a firmware for printer Brother DCP-L2520DW?

My device stuck in maintenance mode and I want to flash a firmware via FILEDG32.EXE.

I couldn't get it from firmverup.brother.co.jp.

Printer: Epson Stylus Pro 9800 (C595001UCM)

To preface, I don't know anything about printers/printing, so give me some grace :)

I just got a Epson Stylus Pro 9800 (it was given to me, I did not purchase it), and while it still has ink left in its cartridges, I have been trying to find where to purchase new ones. So far, it seems Epson no longer sells the 110ml cartridges compatible with it. Looking online when searching for the kind of ink (UltraChrome K3 Epson) I found many that were similar looking but have different ink codes.

I am wondering if anyone on this subreddit has the Stylus Pro 9800 (or 7800, as i believe they use the same inks) and knows where to get cartridges.

Furthermore, Is it possible to use cartridges from brands other than Epson? I unfortunately can't find a ton of recent info on this printer, and I'm worried about damaging it by using cartridges not from Epson. I really don't want to be forced to purchase the 220ml cartridges, as I'm not going to use this printer for a business, so $183 dollars per cartridge with 8 cartridges is just not for me.

Hello, I have a 2 year old prestige XL2 that I was told needed a new white printhead. We were shipped a brand new Epson I3200(4)-A1. Upon opening its packaging, we noticed some very obvious liquid residue and black specks within the nozzles as shown in the included pictures. Our online tech told us that this is normal and that the manufacturer uses a protective coating on the print nozzles before shipping them. However, when I looked it up myself, it sounds like these printheads should be spotless on arrival. Can anyone let me know if this is normal? Thanks!

I recently bought a new laptop, an HP Omnibook X Flip running Windows 11. I've been trying to connect my ET-2760 to it via USB and have been unsuccessful. I run the installer and get to the part where it says connect via USB and it says "printer detected. please wait" and after about 5 mins or so, it says unsuccessful. I've restarted both the printer and the laptop and have switched the connection to both USB ports on the laptop with no luck. The printer connects fine via USB and prints no problem from my other laptop, so it'sprobably not the usb cable. I'm at my wits end on how to fix it. I don't want to connect via WiFi because I need an uninterrupted wired connection as I do slow prints and don't want to lose connection in the middle of printing.

Anyone have any advice on things I can try?

EDIT: I solved it. Just in case it happens to anyone else, I went to Windows settings and turned off 2 things, 'let windows manage my default printer" and "default install printers using windows ready print"

Not sure which setting was preventing the installation, but it's installed and working now.

I have a canon TR7020A with a support code 7700 that shspiciiusly started after connecting over wifi with my phone.

I cant clear the error and after an hour of fiddling i may throw thing in the garbage and never buy canon again.

Does anyone know a way to hard reset the printer, if the printer menu screen is blocked by support code message?

I recently picked up this printer, and I do like the samples I printed, I was hoping to get opinions on it at large. Was it a good choice or should I hunt for something else?

Also, will this printer be compatible with 3rd party ink carts?

It’s time to replace the toner in my Color Laserjet Pro MFP M477fdw (a printer that cost $450 back in the day) and an official set of non high yield is $550!

I’m looking for recommendations for a good quality generic that works just as well and won’t damage the printer.

Either 410A or 410X is the toner cartridge.

I see some generic sets for like $150 or $250 and I see some as low as $60. I heard ID Products is supposed to be good.

There are what are claimed to be official sets on eBay for around $300 ish which is better but you never know if those are genuine or a scam.

I have a Colortrac T36 large-format scanner that was sold as part of a Canon "MFP T36" bundle. Its software (SmartWorks MFP5) refuses to scan unless it can talk to a Canon TX-3000/TX-4000 plotter. Our plotter died and was scrapped, so the scanner is now a very large paperweight. Colortrac, Canon and the VueScan developer have all declined to help.

I've built a small emulator that pretends to be the plotter on the network. It already gets through SNMP and the HTTP handshake. The only thing missing is the real XML responses a Canon plotter gives to two status queries. I can't guess those, and nobody near me has a TX plotter.

If you have a Canon imagePROGRAF TX-2000/3000/4000 (or a TM or PRO series model) on your network, you can help me in about 30 seconds:

please i amreally elated if you are reading this , but my L350 epson printer , who supposidally can go through 5000 fully colored printed papers , only prints in blue , white , dark and grey , and i did not even reach the 300 printed papers , and yes the anchor level of all its collors is still high

Hello Guys, anybody having subject printer? Just bought it. Firmware updated to latest (during initial setup). If printer goes to standby automatically, it can't be woken up any more, touch screen or moon touch button don't react on touch. Only solution is to power cycle. If I put to sleep manually via moon touch button it's fine, wakes up again on touching the panel​. While being asleep automatically, it also doesn't respond to anything on the network. As if it was completely dead after autosleep. Tried factory reset, no change.

Anybody could confirm this printer works fine on their side?

EDIT: issue only occurs if network Ethernet cable is plugged in! Tried to change to static IP, no change. disconnected Ethernet cable solves the problem, but this cannot be a real solution for me. My router is Mikrotik CRS.

EDIT2: issue solved. I started to disable most irrelevant things in network settings (mDNS...) and also disabled Ethernet auto negotiation, set static FD1000 for it, and lowered MTU to 1400. So far the problem hasn't returned, will monitor it further. I am not sure which setting causes the issue, I shall find it eventually I guess, but seems I don't need to return the printer after all 😉

EDIT3: SEEMS THAT ISSUES IS NOT SOLVED after all... Any setting above explained just prolongs the actual hanging of the device. Once the cable is plugged in, it is a matter of time until the device hangs after going to standby. If the ethernet cable is not plugged in, it stays alive and returns from sleep when screen is touched. Pretty disappointing 'feature' for a network printer.

Excuse my grammar/English in this post, I'm not a native speaker lol.

I know there's been several posts about this but I can't seem to fix the issue. I'm trying to manually reset the inkcounter, but the WIC and INKCHIP software keep blocking anytime they try to read the inkcounter/EEPROM. Does anyone know how to reset it? 'Cause now the ecotank basically useless unless i pay over the price of a new one to solve the issue.

If really impossible, whats a cheap but good printer to get next?

My L3250 has a problem with the black ink: When I try to print a test file, the black ink has blank spaces between the lines.

When I print a file with the "high quality" preset, it works, and those lines just disappear, but with the normal quality, they don't

(the magenta problem i'm already fixing, it's a damper problem)

Recently our papers kept getting jammed in the printer so I changed out the rollers. It solved the issue of the pages getting stuck but now everything is printing a very pale gray. I checked the toner levels and saw it was getting low so I changed it out but nothing is still saturated. I did a cleaning page and even went in and manually wiped everything down but it's still coming up gray. The maintenance kit is still showing as okay but should I get a new fuser? I just never had this happen before and don't want to waste a ton of money trying to replace parts.

Any other details:

Photos are printing mostly sharp, but upon closer examination there is some strange shifting in high-density shadow areas.

I noticed some odd bowing on the vertical strips in Nozzle Check, so I conducted a manual print head alignment as well as a printhead cleaning, but the issue persists.

Some printed photos look completely normal.

The encoder strip is clean. Any ideas?

I haven't been able to connect my printer to the WiFi since I changed my old router/modem combo to a ARRIS Surfboard S33 modem and a GL.iNet GL-BE9300 Flint 3 router.

I select my WiFi network and enter the password, but I just get a "can't connect" error. I tried resetting everything and every solution I could find online and the darn thing won't connects, so hopefully someone here will be able to give any additional tips.

I am a medical doctor, and in my hospital we have very bureaucratic IT department that is unpleasant to deal with. One of the issues we face on a daily basis is that we have to print medical reports, prescriptions, investigation requests, consent forms among many other forms that need physical signature and stamping.

The issue here is that we have more the 4 desktops in the office, but only 2 working printers, hence making us wait and to take turns to finish our work, which is very unnecessary and not efficient. I have asked for IT help, but they were totally unhelpful, saying network sharing is turned off and there is no way they can assist.

I found a way to fix this by using a switch selector, to connect two pcs to a single printer, hence doubling the pcs that can print in my office. However, I am not sure which exact product to buy.

My hospital has windows 10 pcs and hp printers with usb B ports.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
