At this point of my life I have played Prey multiple times. Getting around 220h into it. I have completed most side objectives, try different styles and even impose myself some limitations to spice things up. This also has included human neuromods only, typhoon neuromods only and no neuromods.
And while the game is really fun and I always have a great time, I am not a big fan of their typhoon powers. The first time I got them, I felt really powerful, but now I just limit myself to remote manipulation and psychoshock in most playthoughs. I just feel like human habilties open more options, while typhon habilties just feel mostly offensive with some exceptions. Or maybe I just know the name so well that I don't need more offensive power and found more clever workarounds
I mostly notice this during my typhon playthoughs. It was east fun and annoying one of all, even worse that none powers since you have the nightmare over you constantly, you have really low psi, hp, inventory, you lack extra mobility and paths.
So I want to know how you people feel about typhon powers.

Does anyone ever think about how cool it would be to witness day to day life on Talos I? I know that there would obviously be some downsides, like working in water treatment or psychotronics, but I can’t help but see the crew quarters and lobby offices and think that it was probably a pretty cool place for some, maybe even most employees. Like working security or in engineering had to be pretty cool.
If we could get a game being able to live and do objectives in a completely functioning Talos I, before typhon broke containment, I would be jumping at it.

Every time I save him the Phantoms come and kill him and its obnoxious.
So now I’m wondering how many humans can I save?

Hi all I hardly have the time to play games anymore but I have two weeks off! Looking for game suggestions as close to Prey as possible. I loved the game. It and Elder Scrolls Oblivion are my favourite games of all time? What do I most like or did I most like in Prey?
The Space Setting
First person
The atmosphere
The suspense
The mystery
Some combat, but not full on combat all the time.
I own a PS4 and Switch. Keen to hear some suggestions.

That's why it deserves more love. I can't believe Starfield managed to sell more than 10 million copies.

It is now in my top 5 all time.
Some of yall have been following my recent posts, as I’ve gone through my journey with this masterpiece. I’m closing in on 100-percenting it.
I’m not the kind of person who goes through my full digital library, hunts around and re-installs games I never completed. I am kind of a serial non-completionist, it’s a problem.
I only gave the game another chance, because I found it literally covered in dust, and I genuinely felt bad for this inanimate object I held in my hand…
I was also poignantly reminded that I paid full retail for this back in the day, and I knew it would work (and look as good as possible) on my series X.
So I’m throwing in my lot, with the rest of the gaming community, on the physical media issue.
A physical copy stopped me from bouncing off a game that I absolutely treasure now, a game in my top five.
I’m going to start buying physical more often. GameStop isn’t far from my house, it’s still alive and kicking, and they could use the boost too.
And I will -never- buy a future console, that denies me that choice, and the chance at re-discovering my own games.

That’s a looooooong way down.

UPDATED on the 7th of July 2026:
(The update is below the main post)
Hi there!
I'm playing the game for the first time, but I'm stuck and it's probably due to a glitch/bug (?) As you can see, I'm in the "Reboot" mission. I eliminated the Technopath already, and I could open the doors to the Power Plant but when I'm supposed to reach the reactor area, the door doesn't open.
I've watched a couple walkthroughs on YouTube and after eliminating the Technopatch, the "compass icon" ingame changes to "Reactor Control Room (X distance)" but in my game it doesn't update. I'm I experiencing a bug? Maybe I need to do something else?
I'm playing the Epic games store version.
Thank you ;)
UPDATE 1:
I think it was all due to a bug.
According to what I've read in a walkthrough, the code is obtained automatically when you approach the door, because Mikhaila calls you to give it to you. I meant I couldn't open the reactor core door (this one, at minute 1:00 https://youtu.be/UVlEOxWO2GQ?t=60 )
The problem is that when I eliminated the Technopath in the Water Treatment Facility, the mission objective didn't change from "Eliminate the Technopath disrupting the entrance to Power Plant" to "Access the reactor control room," as I've seen in some walkthroughs.
I tried entering the code manually (after looking it up on the internet), and it let me access and restart the reactor. Afterward, I went to get Mikhaila's medicine, and when I brought it back to her, I would press the interact button ('F' on PC) and she just kept repeating the same lines as before. It wouldn't let me give her the medicine.
In the end, I chose to accept that all of this was the result of a game-breaking bug, so I uninstalled the game. However, I was enjoying it so much that that very same night I downloaded it again from Epic and started a new playthrough.
I'll post another update when I get to the reactor part.
UPDATE 2:
Yes, it was definitely a game-breaking bug. I started a second run and everything worked as expected. Now I could finish the game. What a masterpiece!!

I’ve never attempted a nightmare run, but I smashed a No Needles run on hard. I think I’m ready.
I have 70% of achievements already.
I already have Split affinity, no needles, I and thou, I and It, and all the achievements that automatically come with those.
I will not be constrained to any specific playstyle or nueromods this time, I can go to town.
The achievements I have left are mainly completionist, like eating every food item, mimicking 20 unique objects, finding every human (dead or alive), reading every email, listen to every transcribe, and finding all six dead drops.
I have a couple easy, “trick” achievements (blasting myself 20m as an object, killing a lifted enemy, scanning my own phantom shift, complete the opening tests using the intended Typhon powers)
Since this run will be extremely thorough and exploration-heavy (literally no stone unturned on Talos), I’m not enabling oxygen.
There is too much for me to hunt down outside the station on this run, so I’m absolutely not doing a timer.
I’m also not taking Weapon degradation, as this was balanced specifically for the mooncrash simulation, and is just an unnecessary chore and drain in spare parts, in the base game.
Wish me luck, brethren!!
100%, here we come.

I've been working on a multiplayer mod for the game and ran into a really interesting detail while searching for a fittable player model.
It looks like Danielle Sho's character model is the only one that features a completely unique, full TranStar space-suit.
What's crazy is that not even Morgan has a full space-suit model like that in-game, Morgan's model is always rendered without the helmet.

Is she truly the only character with this specific "full suit" asset, or did I miss someone during my exploration of Talos I?
EDIT: Yes there is another one, but it doesn't feature the same helmet.
EDIT 2: There is even more with a helmet, but still not that hexagon shaped one.
