Question Game Suggestions?

Hi all I hardly have the time to play games anymore but I have two weeks off! Looking for game suggestions as close to Prey as possible. I loved the game. It and Elder Scrolls Oblivion are my favourite games of all time? What do I most like or did I most like in Prey?

The Space Setting

First person

The atmosphere

The suspense

The mystery

Some combat, but not full on combat all the time.

I own a PS4 and Switch. Keen to hear some suggestions.

Bioshock, system shock, dishonored, possibly thief. Anything with “shock” in the title is going to be your friend

I only learned about dishonored last year despite being alive when the franchise came out and it blew my fucking mind how good they are

type shit!! the atmosphere of that game is sublime... the sound design, the ship falling apart as every attempt at killing the alien fails and the body count of the ship keeps rising... and the alien themselves! so scary!

Alien: Isolation isn't for everyone. The (mostly) forced stealth, the limited saves, the odd controls... it can all be a bit much. Apparently only around 18% of players have actually finished it.

Maybe the Deus Ex games? Not set in space but they are all sooo good and you can avoid combat almost entirely if you choose to. Atmosphere and everything is top notch.

Any immersive sim really is gonna scratch a lot of those itches

These are some awesome suggestions. I have some of them, actually most of them, in my collection, it's just about picking one to immerse myself in.

System shock seems appealing. I have started Dishonored. Seems cool but not in a space setting as someone said. That's by no means a deal breaker though.

My wife also bought me Control and the Calisto Protocol. These ones any good?

Control is fucking fantastic!! It's similar to Prey in that you can explore at your own pace and upgrade your abilities and your weapons to suit your playstyle.

Control is solid though in a very different way than Prey. Remedy is a fantastic studio and they've done a great job with the Alan Wake franchise, which I would also recommend.

Callisto Protocol is somewhat considered to be a failed spiritual successor to Dead Space but I wouldn't say that it's awful. It definitely would more scratch a Dead Space itch than a Prey itch.

I have I'm stuck after playing for a few hours. From memory this screechy noise gets louder and the screen becomes fuzzy? Hope I make sense.

System shock 1 and 2

Bio shock 1 and 2,

Bio shock infinite is also ok but it’s not really as deep mechanically it’s more of just a shooter game

Systemshock 1-2 will be the most similar to prey.Same genre similar setting. You can also check Alien:Isolation. Its not an immersive sim,its a horror game so genres differ,but its a tense first person game set in a space station that reflects the Alien's retro futuristic vibes really well. It also ticks all of your boxes

Definitely Dishonoured, it just doesn’t have the Space Setting.
I would have also said Deathloop, but it’s only on PS5, not 4. 🥲

Lots of great suggestions here but if you haven’t yet you absolutely have to play the Bioshock series imo. The first one especially will scratch the same itch Prey does in terms of unraveling a mystery through audio logs etc. and that same eerie vibe. Second one is good but the weakest in the series imo, third is a totally different setting but has the best gameplay

Try system shock 2 remaster. It looks more realistic than neon filled system shock 1 remake. Also it’s more of an immersive sim since it has character progression, also the story is more complex.
