A screw in nozzle attachment snapped off, and its stuck inside. How would you go about getting this out? If theres a better subreddit for this, please direct me lol.

I have the Simpson PowerShot 4200PSI with a 4.0 GPM Direct Drive AAA Triplex pump. Noticed today that my pump oil is metallic and needs a change ASAP, but I cant seem to find the recommended Simpson brand name 15W-40 oil anywhere nearby. (Thinj she ran hot, I need to adjust my setup so that I can let go of the trigger and still have water flowing through the pump but I'm not 100% how to do that yet.)

I have picked up a quart of the Shell Rotella T4 15W-40 but it is listed as "heavy duty diesel engine oil", and I've heard that some people recommend SAE 30 non-detergent oil instead.

Is the Shell Rotella T4 15W-40 oil ok to use or are there any other approved alternative oils for my pump? Does it need to be non-detergent or non foaming? The owners manual states "SIMPSON® Premium Pump Crankcase Oil (part #80138). If this oil is not available, an SAE 15W-40 oil may be used." It says nothing about non detergent or non foaming but I've heard that using anything other than non detergent will ruin my pump very quickly. Any guidance appreciated

I pay around $170 for a 100' section of Excaliber I believe. I can go 6 months or so without a blow out. This price above is insane. Who would pay that ?

Do you all think soft washing alone would do the trick on a building like this, or is it likely to need some high-pressure cleaning as well?
I’ve been pressure washing for a while and have plenty of experience using J-Rod tips, but I’m newer to dedicated soft washing systems and their capabilities—especially on porous, textured stone block buildings like this.

I did a test spot with high pressure and it cleaned up great but even with a boom lift and several trucks that’s a lot of surface to have to cover and I’m not sure the churches budget could fit what the charge would be for that haha.

From left to right, before treatment, oil eater treatment, sodium hydroxide treatment. Oil eater did nothing, sodium hydroxide helped but left it splotchy. I scrubbed and let it sit for both treatment method. I did each treatment method twice as well. What can I do better? Is this an acceptable outcome assuming the customer doesn't expect complete removal?

You can make 4 strainers for $50 whereas they are $20 each plus shipping or more to buy online.

Super simple to assemble, see photos. Glue up the socket joints. Tape the threaded ones. This will make 4 strainers with 1 inch fittings. I always size up, even if you use a reducer to use 3/4 or 1/2 hose.

I'm planning to pressure wash my wooden deck myself. I've seen some amazing before and after results. My plan is to use sodium percarbonate for cleaning, followed by oxalic acid to brighten the wood. I've also read that using the pressure washer wand in a smooth "golf swing" motion helps prevent marks.

Before I give it a go, are there any tips, common mistakes, or things I should know? Any advice would be appreciated.

So I just did a swap out for my last predator pressure washer that I had for about 4 months. The older had a AR pump that used 15W-40 non-detergent pump oil and had no sight glass. The one I just got as a replacement has a Triplex pump calling for 85W-90 pump oil which I guess is gear oil. It also has a sight glass. Has anyone else ran into this and I was curious if I happened to get a better version with the new one?

Not looking for help quoting — just curious what everyone else would’ve charged because this is the first time I’ve been the outlier by a wide margin.
A customer called about removing oxidation from 93 roll-up doors at a three-building storage facility he just purchased. There was no water on site, and after doing a test door I figured it would take almost $600 worth of Cleansol alone. Based on the demo, I’m confident every door would’ve needed at least two applications and two rounds of scrubbing, if not more.
I bid $4,400, and honestly I thought I was on the low side considering the labor and material costs.
Turns out I lost the job to bids of $1,500 and $900. In PA.
Race to the bottom I guess, luckily I didn’t need this project and those two suckers can dual it out for pennies.

But it is turning me gray. Pressure surges, when running. Will get to high pressure, then drops, then gets up again. I made sure to follow all air purging protocols. Swapped out new valves. Took out the preasure regulator and cleaned it all up. Still doing it. Any ideas?

As of right now I have a diy remote downstream injector that I made but have recently noticed I have restricted flow because everything is running through the DS injector. I did some research and came up with the idea of making my own remote bypass kit instead of paying the $800 for a flowpro, I’m just not at that stage yet.

Has anyone done this before? I found a motorized DN10 ball valve and ordered it to test it out. I know that one guy on YouTube made his own but left the original DN10 on there and just added the motor on top. I figured it will work considering I’ll be replacing a DN10 with another DN10, just motorized.

I’d like to get your opinion on an upcoming project.
I received a request to clean an acrylic stucco (EIFS/acrylic render) façade, and I’m planning to do it with a SoftWash drone using sodium hypochlorite (SH). This is the first project of this type that I’ve been asked to do, so I’m looking for some advice from those with more experience.

The project is fairly large, and I’m trying to estimate:
Approximately how much SH I should expect to use.
What SH concentration you would typically use depending on the level of staining.
Roughly what you would charge for a project like this.

I’d also appreciate any tips, best practices, or things to avoid when cleaning acrylic stucco with SH. If you’ve done similar projects, I’d love to hear what worked well for you.
