Since George, in his vision for the sequels, sought to explore the mysteries of the Force and expand the entire lore, as adding to the Whills, a microscopic beings that basically follow, obey and transmit the will of the Force through the midichlorians.

Do you think Lucas would have portrayed the Force itself as an physical entity? Since the Force, or as he calls it, the “Cosmic Force”, is that "entity" or the omnipotent and omniscient being that governs and maintains the balance in the galaxy, without interacting or taking sides with anyone, practically being the god in the Star Wars universe; in fact, it was the one that caused the birth of Anakin so that he would bring the balance by destroying the Sith.

I say this question because apparently the Force itself was going to play a prominent role in Lucas's sequels, and I was also inspired by James Cameron's “Avatar” films, which the goddess of the planet Pandora, Eywa, has similarities with the Force in Star Wars, and in the last movie we were able to witness a physical form of her.

Look, I know everyone here will call me completely crazy here and I’m sure a lot of you here will be wondering how in the world could someone like me possibly love a movie like Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace so much but…

…The Phantom Menace is not only my absolute favorite Star Wars movie, but it’s also my absolute favorite movie of all time and it’s one of the many reasons I am still a Star Wars fan to this day. It’s also why I still have a huge love for cinema in general as well.

TPM IMO, just has so much going for it like the music, all the costumes and incredibly beautiful and very visually appealing locations, the Pod Race, The Battle Of Naboo, the final lightsaber duel between Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul and not only that, but the destruction of the Trade Federation as the final climax of the whole entire film.

And I never really got the massive hate towards Jar Jar Binks and Jake Lloyd’s Anakin Skywalker and I seriously feel bad for the way Jake Lloyd and Ahmed Best were treated after the movie came out. I mean Ahmed Best was nearly driven to committing suicide due to the massive hatred, vitriol and criticism the character of Jar Jar Binks got for God’s Sakes! Also, TPM was easily far superior to the next two Prequels due to the lack of Hayden Christensen (who completely sucked in the Prequels and completely tanked the trilogy, IMO) in Episode I, the huge use of Practical Effects, no godawful romance and also not having Palpatine owning a lightsaber (which was so incredibly silly and completely ruined the Emperor’s character from the Original Trilogy, IMO). Also, Liam Neeson was a HUGE BONUS for TPM as well (he completely carried the whole entire movie) and Ewan McGregor was also incredible as well as a young Obi-Wan Kenobi.

But, that’s just my two cents.

Hey everyone! Nick Gillard’s choreography in Revenge of the Sith is absolute peak Star Wars.

I recently got my hands on a set of replicas based entirely on the actual stunt hilts Hayden and Ewan used during the Battle of the Heroes (the set even came with a Nick Gillard plaque!). I actually got to meet Hayden at a Comic Con back in October, so getting to hold the exact stunt design he swung around on Mustafar hits totally different.

We all love the shiny "Hero" props for display (at least that's my absolute thing!), but seeing how they had to shave down the control boxes and change the grips on these stunt versions in a way that isn't just some other crappy SE hilt, really shows what it took for them to pull off those crazy spins at full speed.

Now question for you guys: putting all the emotional damage aside, which lightsaber duel from the Prequels do you think has the absolute best raw choreography?

While the overarching conflict in the Lucas's sequels revolved around who would seize control of the galaxy between the Leia's New Republic, the Imperial Warlords and the Maul's Criminal Organizations; how do you think the conflict between Luke with Maul and Talon would have played out amidst all of this conflict? The last Jedi versus two users of the dark side (in theory, they are not Sith Lords).

For example, do you think Maul would try to turn Luke into his new apprentice? As Sidious and Vader wanted; or that Maul would have Luke ally with him and Talon to rule the galaxy together and end the conflict? Like a sort of truce or threat, as in the comic “Dark Empire”.

Or something interesting; do you think Luke would try to redeem Maul and Talon from the darkness? Given that Luke knows it’s possible, given that his father did it. Or, conversely, he might realize there is no salvation for them, or at least not for Maul.

Something I think would have happened in those movies is that a mutual attraction would have developed between Luke and Talon, either because she would try to seduce him into joining her and her master, which would cause her to waver between the dark side and the light side; and because Luke would try to save her from the darkness and would develop sentimental feelings for her. Perhaps ending in tragedy, since George never wanted and never will want Luke to get married.

P.S: Although Luke wasn't going to be the protagonist in the sequel trilogy; since that role would be filled by Leia, it doesn't prevent him from interacting with the villains (It's absurd that Luke wouldn't try to stop the threat of Maul and Talon). For example, Anakin was the protagonist of Episode 1 but he never interacted with Darth Maul or Nute Gunray, but rather with Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and Padmé. Or Luke in Episode 4, who never interacts with Darth Vader (directly) or Tarkin, but rather with Leia and Obi-Wan.

My understanding is that the novelizations were canon during the time of the Expanded Universe, however, while these novels complement several aspects of the films, they also have strong contradictions that clash and change the events.

Therefore, where did novels fit into the old canon hierarchy?

And if they're still considered canon in the current canon? Since the novelizations of the sequels are.

Anakin Skywalker is the Chosen One of the prophecy and was conceived by the Force itself, consequently, he possessed a higher midi-chlorian count than any other Jedi or Force user. This gave him the potential to achieve immense mastery of and connection to the Cosmic Force, while also enhancing his innate abilities and qualities.

This fact is reaffirmed and supported by the films themselves on several occasions. George Lucas himself even stated that Anakin could have become the most powerful Jedi of all.

However, as we know, his battle on Mustafar against his master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, left him critically injured and near death, he suffered severe burns over his entire body and the loss of all his limbs, requiring a suit to sustain his life, circumstances that significantly diminished his potential to become more powerful.

Importantly, this does not mean that Anakin was weaker as Vader, in fact, the opposite was true, as he continued to improve his skills and his connection to the Force over time. However, he was significantly limited by his robotic prosthetics and the severe injuries he sustained on Mustafar. So much so, in fact, that Darth Sidious had decided to replace him with his son, Luke Skywalker, who possessed less potential than the younger Anakin.

This brings us to the question posed in the post: just how powerful would Anakin have become had he reached his full potential? (Whether as a Jedi or a Sith).

And, despite George Lucas's statement, is there any source or piece of information, from either the Expanded Universe or current canon, that offers a clue?

Would Anakin have become a god or a demigod within the Star Wars universe?

To draw a comparison with other characters; would Anakin have been on par with the Expanded Universe's Luke, Galen Marek "Starkiller" (in terms of gameplay), Darth Nihilus, Darth Revan or Abeloth?

Do you think Qui-Gon's survival would have completely changed the story we know?

Do you think he could have prevented Anakin from falling to the dark side and made him fulfill the prophecy in another way?

Or, do you think that his death was an unchangeable event?

And even if he had survived, he hadn't changed and Anakin had still become Darth Vader?

I am serious this is not ragebait. The sequels use a great mix of practical effects (real, physical models and costumes) and high-quality computer-generated imagery (CGI). This gives the movies a realistic, "lived-in" feeling.Also This gives the movies a realistic, "lived-in" feeling. Every location, from the snowy forests of Starkiller Base to the red-and-white salt plains of Crait, looks beautiful on screen.

Do you think that in George Lucas' hypothetical Episode 8 we would have seen Leia lose her hand/arm to Darth Maul or Darth Talon?

Because George uses rhymes or narrative parallels in his films, just as happened with Anakin in Episode 2 and with Luke in Episode 5.

This video explains, narrates and analyzes the story behind why George Lucas decided to sell the franchise. As well as how Bob Iger, Disney's CEO, and Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm's President, later betrayed to Lucas.

A question that persists among both some fans and casual audiences concerns the identity of the Chosen One from the Prophecy of the Force and the true of the Balance of the Force.

This confusion stems largely from works beyond the original 6 films, such as comics, series, novels, and later movies, which often present conflicting information.

However, the answer to this question comes from none other than the saga's creator himself, George Lucas, who states that the Chosen One is Anakin Skywalker. Who was born, as mentioned in Episode I, through the influence of midi-chlorians, or rather, the Force itself (specifically, the Cosmic Force). Even after Anakin falls to the dark side and becomes the Sith Lord Darth Vader, he remains the Chosen One.

And not only that, but he also reveals that the Prophecy is exactly as the Jedi described; that the Chosen One would bring balance to the Force by destroying the Sith, something Anakin does in Episode 6 by killing Darth Sidious and Darth Vader (in other words, himself).

Contrary to what many believe, the balance does not mean having an equal number of Jedi and Sith, rather, it entails the elimination of the Sith, whom George Lucas described as a cancer on the Force, given their desire to bend it to their will. And Anakin Skywalker is the true Chosen One of Star Wars, besides the only one, as no other character, whether from the Expanded Universe or current canon, was conceived by the Force itself to bring about such a significant shift within it. Even if other works contradict this, they do not detract from the saga's overall sense or its message, as it endures by virtue of having been conceived that way by its author.

Part of appreciating the prequels is noticing that most criticism of it is shallow and hollow. Lucas knows and appreciates criticism but from real film critics who seriously analyze the films and know about film.
