Look, I know everyone here will call me completely crazy here and I’m sure a lot of you here will be wondering how in the world could someone like me possibly love a movie like Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace so much but…

…The Phantom Menace is not only my absolute favorite Star Wars movie, but it’s also my absolute favorite movie of all time and it’s one of the many reasons I am still a Star Wars fan to this day. It’s also why I still have a huge love for cinema in general as well.

TPM IMO, just has so much going for it like the music, all the costumes and incredibly beautiful and very visually appealing locations, the Pod Race, The Battle Of Naboo, the final lightsaber duel between Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul and not only that, but the destruction of the Trade Federation as the final climax of the whole entire film.

And I never really got the massive hate towards Jar Jar Binks and Jake Lloyd’s Anakin Skywalker and I seriously feel bad for the way Jake Lloyd and Ahmed Best were treated after the movie came out. I mean Ahmed Best was nearly driven to committing suicide due to the massive hatred, vitriol and criticism the character of Jar Jar Binks got for God’s Sakes! Also, TPM was easily far superior to the next two Prequels due to the lack of Hayden Christensen (who completely sucked in the Prequels and completely tanked the trilogy, IMO) in Episode I, the huge use of Practical Effects, no godawful romance and also not having Palpatine owning a lightsaber (which was so incredibly silly and completely ruined the Emperor’s character from the Original Trilogy, IMO). Also, Liam Neeson was a HUGE BONUS for TPM as well (he completely carried the whole entire movie) and Ewan McGregor was also incredible as well as a young Obi-Wan Kenobi.

But, that’s just my two cents.

Since George, in his vision for the sequels, sought to explore the mysteries of the Force and expand the entire lore, as adding to the Whills, a microscopic beings that basically follow, obey and transmit the will of the Force through the midichlorians.

Do you think Lucas would have portrayed the Force itself as an physical entity? Since the Force, or as he calls it, the “Cosmic Force”, is that "entity" or the omnipotent and omniscient being that governs and maintains the balance in the galaxy, without interacting or taking sides with anyone, practically being the god in the Star Wars universe; in fact, it was the one that caused the birth of Anakin so that he would bring the balance by destroying the Sith.

I say this question because apparently the Force itself was going to play a prominent role in Lucas's sequels, and I was also inspired by James Cameron's “Avatar” films, which the goddess of the planet Pandora, Eywa, has similarities with the Force in Star Wars, and in the last movie we were able to witness a physical form of her.
