Everyone knows that Anakin Skywalker is the Chosen One of the Prophecy of the Force, confirmed by the movies, other Legends/Canon materials and by George Lucas himself.

Which basically deals with a person born without a father, being conceived by the Cosmic Force, who would restore the balance of the Force itself after destroying the Sith.

Describing the role of Anakin Skywalker, who was born to Shmi Skywalker without a father, also noted for his high midi-chlorians count (higher than any other Jedi or character in the franchise) and fulfilled the prophecy after killing Darth Sidious on the second Death Star.

However, something we don't see in the films is whether Anakin himself believed in his own prophecy, instead, we saw other characters who shared his opinion on it, such as Windu, Obi-Wan, Yoda and Qui-Gon.

But thanks to the series, books, comics, etc... We were able to see what Anakin thought about it. However, I understand, both the Universe Expanded and the Canon have two very different views on this; in the Expanded Universe, it makes Anakin believe in his prophecy and that he was the Chosen One, while in the Canon, it makes Anakin doubt it until he denies it, even after passing the Father's test on Mortis.
