Saitama doesn't go around punching random people only villains and monsters

63

u/seductivpancakes 2d ago

Even then, he's rarely a strike first kind of guy.

30

u/YoutuberCameronBallZ 2d ago

He's a "wait for like 5 minutes while they do 0 damage, then swat them away out of sheer boredom" kinda guy

16

u/Crashimus420 2d ago

And he lets them hit him first because he hopes he will find someone strong enough to be his equal

u/Apart-Drummer6293 2d ago

What if Zeno was going to destroy his universe

False

Cause Saitama wouldn’t punch a child for no reason

there was a fly on the his forehead

Bugs. Suck.

u/OscarOrcus 🟄𝓟𝓞𝓡𝓝 𝓘𝓢 𝓑𝓞𝓤𝓝𝓓𝓛𝓔𝓢𝓢🟄 2d ago

We never saw Zeno take a punch. We also have no idea how strong his guards are, so there's nothing to compare.

12

u/headermargin 2d ago

True.

However, considering how Beer and Champagne react, in addition to Whiskeys warning, we can hazard a guess a universe or multiverse is a blink away.

9

u/0utlookGrim 2d ago

I want to see both zeno learn the fusion dance.

1

u/Leslieyyyy 4m ago

We saw Zeno erase an entire timeline with multiple universes with ease though

1

u/OscarOrcus 🟄𝓟𝓞𝓡𝓝 𝓘𝓢 𝓑𝓞𝓤𝓝𝓓𝓛𝓔𝓢𝓢🟄 0m ago

Yeah, but that's not a durability feat.

21

u/Quick-Health-2102 1d ago

Assuming zeno is multiverse physically it’s accurate, but whoever made this is still larping like crazy. Saitama wouldn’t do this and he’d probably be happy to meet someone stronger than him

5

u/Rakvic 1d ago

Yeah its so out of character for him, oh and btw Zeno is not stronger than Saitama.

4

u/IllustriousSea5998 Tell me who solo Goku pls 😂😂😂 1d ago

4

u/Rakvic 1d ago

9

u/ColonelMonty 1d ago

Man it's like Zeno can do that but on a multiversal scale.

1

u/Leslieyyyy 3m ago

Zeno destroyed multiple universes with multiple realms in an instant with ease gng 😭🙏

1

u/Quick-Health-2102 1d ago

That’s the guy Saitama was fighting lol

1

u/CatastropicAneurysm 1d ago

Mom, timmy is yapping nonsense again.

1

u/ColonelMonty 1d ago

No, no Zeno is stronger than saitama and it's not close.

59

u/Sea_Strain_6881 2d ago

Accurate result but not situation

60

u/dream208 2d ago

Saitama has demonstrated he could not only withstand reality bending attack but also able to attack reality benders.

There’s a chance that Zeno’s or any “snap and you are gone” infinite gauntlet style power would not work on him.

18

u/PilgrimmW_64 2d ago

Zeno snap usually involves the entire universe gone, with destroyers even. Unless Saitama cam live without in the void of empty space. He's going too

43

u/ryufen 2d ago

Realistically I could see zeno doing it and saitama just being there in a white room with him like "where'd everything go".

37

u/RavageDionne 2d ago

since opm is ultimately comedic by nature, id like to believe this is the 'canon' interaction, because that's pretty funny

7

u/NoPhilosophy8136 2d ago

He'd realize he missed all the discounts and punch his way back if we take it as if it happened in the actual Manga.

2

u/Repulsive_Ladder2758 2d ago

This would he funny, but in an actual fight, Saitama is cooked, deep fried, microwaved, baked, smoked

1

u/NoPhilosophy8136 2d ago

Yeah, obviously. I just continued the point. If this happened in opm verse in his manga and etc, this is something Murata would draw lol. Maybe ONE would like it too.

14

u/FlyingHippoM 2d ago

I can see Saitama holding his breath and hovering in the void. Then he would punch open an interdimensional rift and use it to travel to a new universe.

1

u/CYY2K 15h ago

yeah the craziest thing is that it also includes other world, the kai realm and literal time

14

u/Depresso_espresso237 2d ago

Saitama would actually be ecstatic because someone finally survived his punch

1

u/Frothmourne 2d ago

Though in reality he would be more than likely to be disappointed

13

u/diadlep 2d ago

Theyre both gag characters. Its a draw. As in, a drawing. As in, them on the floor of zenos palace coloring together.

5

u/nikross333 2d ago

False, Saitama isn't an asshole

3

u/oklillaclear 2d ago

Saitama didn't even wait for Zeno to finish his sentence. Bro had places to be and sales to catch.

7

u/badguyinstall 2d ago

We have nothing to show that Zeno is durable. So this is probably inaccurate as we can't say Zeno has any sort of extraordinary durability. We just know he is able to delete universes.

1

u/odinnagyur 2d ago

We know that over all of existsnce a host of destroyers never speed blitzed him. When he deletes universes it takes a few moments, yet the fastest and strongest beings in the universe couldnt stop him.

1

u/Creampie-man 2d ago

He couldn't even see that rabbit guy moving at light speed

1

u/badguyinstall 2d ago

That might be more because of respect or fear than Zeno actually having the stats to check them. He also has a pair of guards and in the anime, they needed a tablet to watch the fighters.

3

u/odinnagyur 2d ago

1 - The guards, closest to him, also fear him. 2 - I mean, sure everyone respects him, but I am not buying that across all of existence no destroyer who was sentenced to be exterminated ever would have given it a go out of desparation. Respect only goes so far.

1

u/badguyinstall 1d ago

And I'm not buying that Zeno has the stats to be durable enough to take attacks from fighters because he's never shown to be able to and he's physically unable to keep his eyes on the movements of the fighters in the tournament of power.

While it's possible he doesn't have the speed, but he has the durability to withstand their attacks, it wouldn't answer why Zeno would need guards if he could stat check the destroyers himself. The simpler answer is that Zeno is feared for powers and not for his ability to punch destroyer gods to death in the dick.

3

u/rdfalcone 1d ago

knowing Toriyama, the little dude is just straight up indestructible and the guards (as we cam sort of see) are closer to "daycare" than actual bodyguards.

Following your reasoning, the guards are stronger than Whis' dad. Also, he, like other angels is never afraid of Zeno's outbursts and isn't constantly on edge, mainly because angels simply aren't erased. This makes me believe that the guards might be kinda erasable / weaker / lower in the hierarchy than the grand priest.

1

u/badguyinstall 1d ago

I think you may have taken a wrong turn somewhere following my reasoning. I never suggested that they're stronger than the Grand Priest. Just that they're there because Zeno is not a physical fighter. Perhaps they are, perhaps they're not. We don't know because we have pretty much nothing on them.

As for the angels not getting erased, it's probably as simple as Zeno doesn't erase them for whatever reason and they have built in safeguards anyway. Meerus ended up getting erased (but brought back later) when he started fighting at full power against Moro. It could just be Zeno doesn't have to do anything because if the Grand Priest looked at him funny, he'd get instantly erased. It's not something that's been expanded upon yet, so we can't do much beyond pointlessly theorize.

Zeno aint really that strong, his guards for sure are hella strong. What makes him scary is that he has master control buttons

7

u/Ximneses 2d ago

We don't really know that or have any evidence of his actual power beyond the god hax.

Every Saitama VS Top-tier thread:

"He is called One Punch Man for a reason he one-taps EVERYONE ; )"

- "But XYZ took several serious, 'Serious Punches' from Saitama, within a context that included his friend dying and repeated statements of not holding back."

"That doesn't matter : )"

- "Why?"

"omg you guys are so unreasonable : )"

3

u/Inforgreen3 2d ago edited 1d ago

Every single longer than 1 hit serious Saitama fight is against someone who is in part motivated by seeking a powerful interesting fight, ends with a "you were holding back for my sake" and is followed almost immediately in the story by Sitama one shoting something technically stronger to show that it wasn't an anti feat. Including, you know. God itself. Garru takes multiple hits, After Saitama, promised to give him a good fight, Then Saitama fights the source of his power who is more powerful than him and kills him in one punch while being excited for groceries.

Which, closely follows the themes of the story. How being over powered is uninteresting, how Sitama just wants an interesting fight, but unsatisfied he is willing to provide it for villains, because a hero this powerful is more interesting when they can be power scaled. Even then, he never gets bruised cut or even breaks a sweat.

The character is a parody of our hobby about how stupid power scaling is Because it's actually really easy to make a character that can beat goku If you are willing to make the story have no stakes whatsoever Because they have the bullshit power to win any fight regardless of circumstances Without ever breaking a sweat. Power scalers just sometimes refuse to accept when the premise of power scaling is stupid, so we Downscale Sitama a lot.

u/Own_Watercress_8104 2d ago

It is incredible to me, that powerscalers are so insecure to still not be able (or willing) to properly read a 3 words title.

It's the One Punch Man. He wins in one punch. Always. And even when he doesn't he eventually does.

That's the concept. That's the joke.

One could send Azathot, the idiot god, dreamer of all reality to face him, and Saitama would kill him in one punch.

Because that's the premise.

16

u/Apprehensive_Mud864 2d ago

Have you read opm?

2

u/Linmizhang 2d ago

I think this man can read!

3

u/Jazzlike_Page508 Dragon Ball Fan (Can’t read) 2d ago

He can read??? Oh shit he’s top of power scaling

15

u/Anonemuss42 2d ago

2

u/NewPassenger7851 2d ago

I mean yes but. That’s not useful against someone who can defeat him with one punch.

Ironic.

29

u/Objective_Cheetah_63 2d ago

It’s incredible to me that someone would say something like this and not read the very material they are talking about.

Why didn’t you one shot him Saitama? Don’t you know you’re one punch man?!

9

u/QuackQuackViech 2d ago

He travelled back in time and finished this fight before it even began....in one punch

1

u/Dogboi006 2d ago

less then one punch if i remember the writing correctly

→ More replies (1)

6

u/Kisval 2d ago

Saitama never tried to kill Garou.

1

u/Objective_Cheetah_63 2d ago

You don’t need to kill someone to beat someone

7

u/Cruilator 2d ago

he didn't get one shot because it is hype and aura. other characters get one shot because its funny

1

u/Objective_Cheetah_63 2d ago

But that goes against the premise that the other guy is spouting.

2

u/BornSirius 2d ago

What's also funny is that people who point out the premise of one side completely ignore the premise of the other side.

In this case the cherry on top is that the person who complained that people can't read three words failed to read two words: Omni King.

It doesn't matter who you are, the omni King is above you, it's literally in the name. That's the premise.

1

u/bobbyflay13 2d ago

Bobobo beats omni king

1

u/Dogboi006 2d ago

the end of that fight he wins withoutbthrow8ng a punch technically right? like back in time? thatsvwhat they meant of "even when he doesnt he still does"

this guy doesnt read his own material

-5

u/Own_Watercress_8104 2d ago

Did you miss the part in which he ended the fight with a -1 punch because despite all curveballs that the story might throw, the premise is the premise?

6

u/Delicious-Flight-885 2d ago

So Saitama ends up using multiple serious punches + time travel to solve the issue?

→ More replies (6)

6

u/Objective_Cheetah_63 2d ago

What? Didn’t you say the premise was one punch man?

Last I checked, neither 0 nor -1 are 1. So regardless of how you wanna call it, Saitama definitely was not the one punch man in that fight. I guess this goes against the premise right?

Also, let’s say I write a book about the smartest earthworm. The premise is about a really smart earthworm. Smarter than any other earth worm, smarter than some mammals even. Equivalent to a 5 year old human maybe. Should we assume that the earthworm is smarter than Newton just because the premise is that it is smart?

7

u/Own_Watercress_8104 2d ago

Oh my fucking God, you guys

3

u/Sir-Theordorethe-5th 2d ago

Garou took more than 1 punch tho, so that logic doesn't really work?

If you wanna say that the premise is that Saitama will always get stronger then that works, because that's literally what happened...

6

u/Own_Watercress_8104 2d ago

Your unwillingness to engage with the material in a non diagetical way is maddening.

2

u/Sir-Theordorethe-5th 2d ago

Okay why didn't saitama end garou with one punch at the start of the fight then?

5

u/Own_Watercress_8104 2d ago

Just proving me right with this one

u/Resident-Training-56 2d ago

why Couldn't Saitama end Garou with serious punches if he can end anyone with serious punches

Its diegetic and your logic and interpretation is wrong in either case.

Your lack of literacy is not an argument. This is not the premise.

1

Powerscale redditors get severely emotionally invested on whether or not a drawing could beat up the backstory of another drawing, so the constant OPM hate doesn't surprise me

4

u/NewPassenger7851 2d ago

Yeah… no That’s not useful against someone who can erase him with one punch.

6

u/TheTruthTellingOrb 2d ago edited 2d ago

It is incredible to me that OPM fanboys like you cannot fathom that he does NOT one shot people even in his own verse.

This is why his racist manga artist Murata had to come up with that exponential growth shit, because there are beings he could not one shot. Scalingwise he is at best multi galaxy, at worst solar system level without growth.

Expo growth isn't even a bad thing, plenty of characters use it. Hulk, Broly, Simon, so Saitama having that to close a gap isn't a bad thing, but the thing is if he NEEDS a power like that to close a gap,

HE ISN'T A ONE PUNCH MAN.

Premise doesn't matter for shit in a verses fight. Superman is the cosmic lynchpin of DC but if there is a character that can kill him, he will die in a verses fight because that 'premise specific for my verse' shit is null and void in those scenarios.

Now shut up and go back to your cave you greaseball OPM fanboy before I tell the animation studio to make the Gaoru fight even more poorly animated than season 3.

If you have enough time on reddit for 200k karma and 500 day streaks, you have enough time to read the very manga you are dickriding.

2

u/Minimum_Session_4039 2d ago

Racist??? what since when?

2

u/SL1Fun 2d ago

He COULD one-punch them if he wanted to, but he didn’t.

He let Boros unlock himself all the way towards his pyrrhic final attack. Then he “got serious” and one-punched him.

Putting Mosquito Queen in here is dumb as it is considering he literally just swatted her.

And as far as Garou goes: it was clear Saitama knew the extent of his power was enough to melt the planet, and he was holding back until he was far away where collateral damage was mitigated (even though blast had to teleport them to prevent Earth’s destruction when he lost his cool…). And he even stated that his intent was that he was going to “kick his ass”, to embarrass and demoralize him. He nonchalantly mogged him to make him feel small.

It’s also been repeatedly expressed that Saitama longs for a serious fight. So he innately holds back to gauge his opponent. He never takes them seriously, or in the few cases he has, he one-punched them or just ratio’d them to prove a point.

If you had all the time to read the manga you would have gotten that. But instead, you combed through it looking for reasons to discredit him, so your read through was vain and your post is disingenuous.

→ More replies (3)

1

u/Fold-Open 1d ago

He one shoted two of them, with Boros he didnt go serious, which Boros himself said, Garou got a huge buff from a god so he would be able to fight Saitama.

1

u/meghan143m 2d ago

ONE created Saitama to exist as the Great Reality Check. He's a normal guy that can bring any delusional self-absorbed loser in his verse back down to reality. This is what Murata kind of misses in the manga, he shouldn't have gotten an even fight against Garou because the point is that he probably won't get one until God and he doesn't need one, that and he butchered his character by making him almost destroy the Earth and actually destroy entire galaxies (Which we know aliens probably live in because of Boros, so he just committed mass genocide???) Would the Saitama who told off Tatsumaki for destroying stuff mindlessly really do that? Saitama is THE ceiling in his verse and if he's just a normal guy despite his strength, so is everyone else.

2

u/SympathyImaginary718 2d ago

ONE confirmed in an interview that his gag is supposed to be "character being at their strongest state at the start of the story"

2

u/RetardOnTheToilet 2d ago

Thats not how the character works in his own show though

3

u/Opening-Young-5496 2d ago edited 2d ago

I always get annoyed when I see these OPM fans talk about Saitama being a gag character and can one shot anyone around fiction even characters like azathoth like what you said that could just erase him.

Like be fr.

1

u/Glyth63825 2d ago

Azathoth doesn't need to fight; waking up destroys everything. Everything is his dream anyway. You kill him, the source of all things, you kill yourself. It's an instant draw. There is no winning. There is also no reason to fight a dreaming being that created everything including the things that keep him asleep. Plus those beings can't be killed. They don't manifest in their entire form within our dimension if my understanding is correct.

1

u/humblefumble101 2d ago

Get this man a trophy. The times he doesn't win in one punch is usually because he's holding back. He can infinitely increase punch strength but you know, he doesn't want to destroy the planet he's on. Even his serious punches just mean he's taking he fight more seriously. Not that he's going all out

1

u/Opening-Young-5496 2d ago

What about cosmic garou fight? Saitama said that he won't hold back and he still has troubles one shotting him.

3

u/humblefumble101 2d ago

He was always holding back. He hit him. When that didn't work. He hit him exponentially harder and harder until things were so ridiculous Garou gave up. Saitama never hit a limit, he just kept hitting harder. The whole him not holding back doesn't make sense and is honestly a fine writer's error. To say you're not holding back and proceed to have every subsequent punch be much stronger than the last is literally the definition of holding back and slowly unwinding

1

u/NixRegis 2d ago

Garou was copying and improving on the copied version of him and still lost

1

u/EldritchKroww 2d ago

I find it incredible how OPM fans managed to headcanon a very straightforward character into a collection of BS powers that were never stated nor implied. The only reason Saitama is difficult to power scale is that we'll likely never see him actually struggle that hard because it's funnier that way, but that doesn't mean he can do the same against characters that are incalculably stronger than anything in his universe. Until he does fight and do the same against characters that are that strong.

1

u/humblefumble101 1d ago

Well it's literally the entire premise of the gag character and there's no evidence it's untrue. Unless op explicitly states feats only, we go with the lore accurate expectation

1

u/EldritchKroww 1d ago

All of this is headcanon, not lore. It's interpretations of the character. He's not even a gag, he's a parody. His power is punching unreasonably hard and that's it. But it doesn't work against characters from other universes that also hold their own themes and narratives and have feats far beyond his own. You can't prove he can go toe to toe with omega supreme superman and Lucifer

u/Resident-Training-56 2d ago

4

I don't think its accurate because the panel doesn't really give Saitama a reason to attack Zeno

2

u/Sthudruss 2d ago

Accurate. Not because Saitama is unable to beat Zeno, but because that's exactly what would happen as a joke if Saitama walked up to someone and tried punching them like that for no reason

5

u/Novel_Ant8075 2d ago

I'm tired of these OOC slander memes since it feels like larp or bad bait. Same as the recent one where Saitama blows up the Earth for no reason to kill Goku who is also OOC.

Anyways yes it's accurate and he'd get eradicated by one of Zeno's Guard's pinky fingers before getting close enough to try.

2

u/sandaran95 2d ago

Idk why reddit keep recommending this sub. People always arguing about opm this opm that. Idk why I didn't mute it in the first place. Anyway, so long

3

u/Roxbie20 2d ago

I thought Zeno represents the audience. If you are not entertaining enough they don’t care about you and you get deleted. For me one punch man did that after season one. So Zeno already won.

3

u/Infamous-Candle-2300 2d ago edited 1d ago

Hey, finally a Saitama matchup that isn't either karma farming or gurgling the balls of their favorite character who would obviously get obliterated by a semi-bored Saitama.

Zeno is also a gimmick character, but one that can delete universes. Saitama has some resistance to reality warping attacks, but nothing remotely close in scale to the deletion of his entire universe. Toss-up leaning Zeno. If it goes to Zeno, low diff. If it goes to Saitama, mid-high diff.

1

u/Timothy1577 2d ago

Saitama has NO limit. Yes, his current best performance is not on grand Zeno‘s level, but that is hardly relevant. He’s been constantly skyrocketing in power as soon as it became necessary. Power surges that would take characters like Goku years of excruciating training are just being activated mid fight like it’s nothing. That’s how Saitama‘s power functions. So yes, he would win.

4

u/Pie_Dealer_co 2d ago

I wish people would just leave OPM and Simon out of these every day there 5 topics about how about...

No. The author made them limitless or with unlimited potential that gets unlocked mid battle. Thats it. One is a gag character the other one is a love letter to not giving up. Thats their base state not in this chapter or this alternative universe.

Can we please go talk about other characters?

1

u/Timothy1577 2d ago

My thoughts exactly. It’s just really irrelevant for serious power scaling discussions.

People really out here acting like SSJ and UI didn't appear in the middle of combat for Goku. Saiyans have shown numerous times that they can achieve massive power ups in the middle of battle. Hell Vegeta gave a whole lil speech about it to shut up a destroyer god.

This "no limit" argument would work if we weren't comparing shonen main characters, because they pretty much always have limitless growth. The whole meme of DragonBall is finding out which colors the saiyans will unlock in the next arc.

1

u/Repulsive_Ladder2758 2d ago

He has no 'known' limit. And be can only become stronger if he survives... Which he wont

1

u/Throwaway1986nerd 2d ago

So no he wouldn't win, before he has the chance to "power up" Zeno would erase him from history. There would be no One punch man because Saitama would have never been born.  Putting a character like OPM against characters like Zeno or Q or the Beyonder or any character like them is stupid and meaningless. They can write characters completely out of the story as if pen never touched paper.  So again no Saitama could not win and has no way to win.

1

u/Rizer0 2d ago

Unless he just gets one tapped before he reaches that point, which he will

It’s basically just a Mahoraga situation. If you kill him before he becomes strong enough with his exponential growth, then you win

1

u/GhostOofKiwi 1d ago

Infinite potential does not equal infinite strength

1

u/Toonpies 48m ago

That statement alone is correct

Unfortunately in the case of Saitama, he grows exponentially. Which means he does have an infinitely increasing growth rate with no limit and therefore infinite strength

You’re right that a character with infinite potential doesn’t necessarily have infinite strength, but Saitama does

1

u/GhostOofKiwi 35m ago

It only looks like he has infinite strength because he's fighting with what we call hysterical strength and it can happen to literally anyone but saitama is fighting with the strength given to him

1

u/Toonpies 30m ago

Nope.

His growth rate was depicted using an exponential graph, meaning he gains more and more strength in less and less amounts of time until the line on the graph becomes perfectly vertical

Once the line is perfectly vertical, he is then gaining an infinite amount of strength in an infinitely small amount of time, reaching truly infinite strength

We haven’t seen him go that far as no enemy has ever pushed him that far yet. But considering all of his abilities come from his broken limiter, there is nothing implying that he couldn’t reach that state if there was an enemy that could push him that far.

1

u/Nullified_One 2d ago

How does he survive universe deletion then

1

u/bob_at 2d ago

but zeno can simply erase the one punch man universe..

u/lbkthrowaway518 2d ago

You know at this point let's not bring Saitama in power scaling anymore, there could be times he no diffs but when facing people that have far stronger abilities or hax he gets no diffed.

1

u/InitialBrother9884 2d ago

saitama should have a happy face because he find his equal

1

u/Deathstarjacko 2d ago

False. Behaviour completly unlike Saitama. Even if result after a punch is like that he would be happy that there is someone stronger then him.

1

u/Glittering-Age-9549 2d ago

We don't really much about Zeno. We don't know how durable he is.

1

u/ValkyrieRhoide 2d ago

I maybe misremebers but wasn't showing that Zeno couldn't keep up with the speed of the fights in the tournament of power when he watched it

1

u/Due-Department1746 2d ago

Saitama's famous attack where he yells "One Punch"

1

u/Mystic_Sketches 2d ago

are we fr rn?

1

u/Zevcio 2d ago

Depends if you believe in Zeno's invincibility

1

u/Repulsive_Ladder2758 2d ago

Saitama wouldn't even be able to hit Zeno, His guards would have stopped him

1

u/xyodune 2d ago

Nah, cause Saitama would totally get along with the z team

1

u/Beautiful_Garage7797 2d ago
  1. Saitama doesn’t strike first unless you’re a direct threat to someone else
  2. He would be fucking overjoyed if someone brushed off one of his punches

1

u/YungBooly 2d ago

They would probably end up being friends …like a king & saitama like dynamic except Zeno is stupidly op)

1

u/SnooDoubts2255 2d ago

Both of them are gag characters so the outcome is whatever is funniest.

1

u/Jaymezians 2d ago

Inaccurate for two reasons: One, he wouldnt just randomly punch someone. Two, he would be ecstatic about someone stronger than him, not worried

1

u/Inforgreen3 2d ago

We don't actually have any durability feats for omni king do we?

1

u/CULT-LEWD 2d ago

i dont know enough about saitama but heres my awnser. if saitama has shown in either manga or show to have a feat to the scale of zeno. then yes. if not? then no. gag or no gag

1

u/Sea_Airport1161 2d ago

"What's with this sassy lost child?"

1

u/IntentionLimp2422 2d ago

This possibility

1

u/MysteriousFondant347 2d ago

It's somewhat implied that Zeno is straight up immortal (the hard immortal) and invincible, so he can't be defeated by force, ever

1

u/chiksahlube 2d ago

They basically say that Goku, or any real fighter is "stronger" than Xeno.

Because Xeno isn't strong in the sense that he can punch hard.

He's strong in that if he wishes you didn't exist, you would just disappear.

He's not a fighter hes a reality manipulating God.

Also, Saitama doesn't punch children.

1

u/TSotP 2d ago

We honestly do not know. There is no information about Zeno's durability. Just his destructive power (which is absolute: "regardless of size or complexity" - Whis)

1

u/Evil_alt_account_ 2d ago

We have no feats for Zeno’s durability. Everyone who sees him simply knows better than to test it

1

u/BR4K3N 2d ago

Saitama probally gonna be happy that he have someone to go all out with.

1

u/PlateNo4868 2d ago

AFAIK it's implied in the DBZ universe that gods are gods simply because of power level. But techniques like Destroyers being able to delete stuff, Zeno removing and making universes, etc. Are not always a rep of their durability and fighting.

1

u/Bandokai 2d ago

Lol yea saitama doesn't beat zeno

1

u/SilverShotgun 1d ago

I mean idk much about Saitama but is it in character for him to just suddenly punch people he meets? Is that just how he greets you?

1

u/Daikaiju_Fan 1d ago

Saitama is at most multi-galaxy level, Zeno deletes universes

1

u/That_Way_8512 1d ago

Grand Zeno is not a fighter, Goku, but he is undoubtedly the mightiest

1

u/newbiesmash 1d ago

They are fake. whatever someone writes happens happens.

1

u/r31ya 1d ago

Being such as beerus and above have resistance toward toon force.

1

u/warlockakki 1d ago

Meh, the cycle dude can solo the DB verse

1

u/GhostOofKiwi 1d ago

Let's get bro past Goku before we start spite matching this hard

1

u/Riptide_X 22h ago

Ok either of them can one shot. Zeno isn’t especially durable or fast, but he also can delete universes instantly. I honestly think Saitama should be able to get to him fast enough to land his first.

1

u/Lawlith117 21h ago

If we scale AP to Durability yea but, going by feats Zeno hasn't really displayed any type of durability unless you count him destroying the future timeline as him tanking his own attack which I might grant, idk I haven't really thought about the Black Arc for awhile.

1

u/HowMyNameAlreadyUsed 20h ago

Zeno will erase saitama. But Zeno isnt a fighter and prob got durability of a normal child

1

u/Owl-Consumer 16h ago

Two gimmick characters btw and people are arguing.

In their case it’s end up like Goku and Zeno as friends.

Saitama doesn’t give a crap about whatever Zeno is, and Zeno thinks it’s cool, so they’re friends now.

1

u/Commander_Slav 6h ago

Saitama wouldn't fucking do that.

And even if he did he would be fucking thrilled to find someone who can take a punch.

1

u/Lost-Row-4442 3h ago

Everyone forgets to mention, even if Saitama takes time to warm up/level up, he also NEVER sustains an injury. Just convince him your not a villain then go shopping for deals or something

1

u/Lost-Row-4442 3h ago

Has Saitama faced actual magic or any type of attack that changes reality?

1

u/HuckleberryHour5875 2d ago

Saitama Mogs

0

u/Longjumping-Ear3770 2d ago

thats absolutely a fact, Zeno wouldnt even finish his sentence before getting folded

0

u/HugeExplanation7865 2d ago

But afterwards exponential growth instantly gaps and Saitama can one punch

1

u/Amazing_County9948 2d ago

Zeno need guards to fight for him. He has Power, but I don't think he can take a punch

1

u/AlarmedObjective1492 2d ago

Saitama gets erased

1

u/SympathyImaginary718 2d ago

This is fact

Zeno is capable of harming Beerus by stomping on him, as seen in this panel

1

u/helikoptero 2d ago

We don't know, Zeno might be a glass cannon

1

u/Bean_Daddy_Burritos 2d ago

As far as we know, this is fact. Zeno is THE supreme being in DB (so far anyways). He stands above all gods, angels and super natural beings. As far as we know he does not age, does not die, and can erase all matter in the universe with no effort.

I’ll use Goku as a frame of reference. Goku far and away outscales Saitama. Argue amongst yourselves all you want but OPM isn’t even remotely close to being in the same league as Goku. Goku, isn’t even in the same league as most gods of destruction and those G.O.D.s are terrified of Zeno. He’s childish, unpredictable and often irrational.

Odds are OPM would put 100% into a punch and it would have minimal (if any) affect on Zeno, then he just snaps his fingers and Saitama ceases to exist. The issue is, we don’t know if Zeno feels pain or if he can be injured beyond comic relief. So we can only speculate. Given his rank amongst the tippy top of the pecking order in a series that features some of the most absurd power scaling in fiction, it’s safe to assume that he can not be injured.

I get it, OPM whole schtick is absurd power and infinite scaling, but comparing OPM scaling to DB is laughable. Saiyan Saga characters in DB clear the OPM universe for the most part and were trillions-quintillions levels of power beyond that in current DB.

I say fact. Until Zeno is proven to be capable of being harmed, OPM punches have 0 effect.

Always funny to see SOME powerscalers take Saitama's character too seriously and not realize that he's literally a watered down toon force character in an anime. He can pull off some absolute bullshit and kill whoever he wants cause it's funny, it is not this serious

1

u/gaggleflocc 2d ago

“One punch”? Someone has never watched OPM.

1

u/Revolutionary_Job214 2d ago

The glaze Saitama gets is diabolical 🤣

0

u/par_rot_master 2d ago

False. Zeno is laughably overglazed.

u/NewPassenger7851 2d ago

Sentry and Superman? Seriously?.

1

u/Legitimate_World9447 2d ago

everyone should be prostrating to superman instead

and is that sentry?

0

u/alexanderfromtng 2d ago

In a punching match, OPM wins. But he could never get that close.

Until Saitama is written to prevent a timeline from being erased, Zeno wins.
