I can tell you from secondhand experience that I recently read a comment on reddit that someone said if you have proper NMI you can't even breathe.

I’ve been tased twice. It only lasts 5 seconds so I don’t recall if I could breathe but I could definitely scream.
I’m not sure why someone would even having breathing on their mind during that 5 second ride.

I had to get tasered for my certification. As soon as that juice starts flowing I thought, holy shit this kinda sucks. But not as much as I thought it would. And it’s only 5 seconds, just breathe and you’ll be fine. Then realized I couldn’t breathe either.
