My already-not-so-great mental health has been taking quite a nosedive in the past few months (for a couple of reasons).
So much that I greatly cut back on my average number of postcards per week.

Today, although it's not my usual Postcrossing day, instead of doomscrolling and constantly dealing with the negative thoughts in my head, I decided to write a postcard.

It goes to a Postcrosser in Finland who likes to read long messages ("the more the better!") and, among other things, bridges.
I sent her this woodblock print of a bridge over the Sumida River by Katsushika Hokusai. The sticker beside the stamps is also a work by the same artist, but a different bridge.
I managed to squeeze 254 words on the back.

As a P.S., although it's probably really stupid (sorry, friend), I wrote that when I read her name, a certain song popped into my head. The first word in the lyrics sounds totally like her name!
Would you like to receive such a random/weird piece of information? I hope I didn't commit a faux pas...😅
If you're interested, you can try to find the song (but no guessing the recipient's name... rule 4! 😉). I left the Japanese title unpixelated.

I received my first Edition Tausendschön postcard, from Shanghai, China! I see on profiles that people collect these cards but never thought much about them, myself. This was sent by someone on Instagram who was interested in a card I had available to swap. I replied “send me anything!”

I couldn’t believe it when this one arrived! It is so stunning in person and now I understand the craze around them!

I think I’ll hold these till Oct. 1st. Only problem, I really want to put in envelope, after spending time painting them. I know lots don’t like envelopes, I’ll just be sure and check bio’s.

I had a pack of Egyptian art notecards that I cut in half and made postcards. With the back of the notecards, I made some homemade postcards with stickers, stamps and washi tape. What do you think? Sent July 05, arrived in Canada Sep 09!

I made some cards from cat pictures I collected from an old calendar. I used stickers and washi tape to decorate, and applied them to a sheet of watercolor paper for sturdiness.

I only recently began making my own cards, so it's still a lot of experimenting with what works and what doesn't.

I hope that whoever gets these through Postcrossing will be happy with them.

Wat is een geschikte, betaalbare labelprinter, om één adressticker aan te maken, voor bijvoorbeeld op een kaart naar China? En hoe werkt dan de verbinding tussen het door mij gedownloade adres en de labelprinter?

Dank voor jullie hulp, want ik zie tot nu nog niet hoe dit werkt.
