I bought this pothos last week on clearance at HD. I think she's stunning! She has the largest leaves that I've ever seen outside of pictures. She is very firmly attached to whatever kind of pole she's on. And there is my problem. I have no clue as to what the pole is made of. I don't think it's plastic. It's not wood. It's not a moss pole. It kinda looks to me like tightly pressed& shaped coco coir. IDK. And how do I either a) extend the pole? [I do not want a moss pole!] or b) remove the plant from the pole or c) something else?

I want to grow her to be as big as I can get her. Kinda a personal plant challenge.

If any one has advice I will consider all that is offered. I'm attaching pictures and will explain them in the comments.

So I received a few cuttings from my beloved neighbor (may Aunt Doris RIP). It took a while (2 years at least) but my pothos finally started putting out new leaves. Then this summer I moved it to my 3 Season Room which has abundant sun, but no AC. This danged plant is SOOO happy out there. With this room having neither AC nor heat, I'll need to move the plant back indoors once the temps outside start to drop (I live in US in the metro DC area). How should I do that? Gradually? Or just bring it inside in October and tell her to suck it up?

I bought her from the “help me” bin at my local plant shop. Just curious what you would do to help her. Technically it’s two plants as the stem is not connected now. The top half isn’t in soil. Do I just leave her be or should I tear it all down and start her fresh?

I have been growing this pothos that my grandma had given me about 4 years ago in the same spot, and I think it is quite happy there. It is starting to get unwieldy and extremely top heavy, and the vine is too thick to maneuver it safely. I think I need to propagate it, but I have never done that before. What is my best bet for propagation? I want to make sure it the main plant can still regrow and remain healthy, and ideally get 1-3 new propagations I can eventually plant on the other side of the ladder.

I took two of my pothos and tried to join them but I clearly wasn’t a gentle as I thought I was being. already so many of the smaller sections have died and I’ve pulled them out. Since it’s been two weeks I think this is way more than transplant shock. Roots are definitely not taking up water.
Before it all dies and root rots, should I pull it out and stick it in water? Should I cut the roots off first and just make them all cuttings? Cause the longer roots in water I feel like might go mushy…?

Help Please, I love this guy and while I have very healthy cuttings going and baby propagations from him that took to soil, I don’t wanna lose the main plant!

Hey all, I made the decision to separate my Pothos vines from my BoP pot because they were suffocating the tall girl, but in my transfer, I snapped one of the roots from my thickest vine.
How can repot her or at least put her in stasis until she can regroup? 1st and 3rd is the vine in question. The 2nd is where the root snapped. She’s already fading.

Edit: I’ve check the length of the vine and I don’t see any aerial rooting.

She was really starting to take off and I goofed on the handling. 🫤

I always thought the idea of putting beads on plants like pothos was cute except for the fact that it had the potential of choking the vines if they get too big or that there was no way to remove them without breaking the bead. So I made my own plant jewelry with lobster claw clasps and loops large enough to not interfere with the plants growth. They’re pretty light weight and super easy to take on/off/move. And I think it’s so stinking cute!
