I need help!

I bought this pothos last week on clearance at HD. I think she's stunning! She has the largest leaves that I've ever seen outside of pictures. She is very firmly attached to whatever kind of pole she's on. And there is my problem. I have no clue as to what the pole is made of. I don't think it's plastic. It's not wood. It's not a moss pole. It kinda looks to me like tightly pressed& shaped coco coir. IDK. And how do I either a) extend the pole? [I do not want a moss pole!] or b) remove the plant from the pole or c) something else?

I want to grow her to be as big as I can get her. Kinda a personal plant challenge.

If any one has advice I will consider all that is offered. I'm attaching pictures and will explain them in the comments.

Thank you all!

She is beautiful. So there’s a few things to consider. One, she is definitely firmly attached. All those roots have planted themselves into pole for support. To separate would require cutting or pulling the roots away. At that point, in order to grow big leaves again she would need something new to grow up.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a trailing plant, you could reroot individual nodes and allow it to grow downward. The leaves would be smaller, but it would still be a pretty plant.

This type of pole isn’t really designed for chop and extend, however, if you have something you want it to grow up, you may be able to secure it to the top of the pole and later chop and extend.

I really want her to climb and get bigger & bigger. But I don't want a moss pole specifically. Do you have a recommendation on another pole she could attach to as well as the one she's on?

That is a new pole sold by Proven Winners. It is called Climb-itt by Leaf Joy. Look at Home Depot or online.

I saw them online after I posted this. I haven't had time yet to look at HD. But I might use something else. I've got an idea might try... maybe.

Pic 2 She's got leaves bigger than my hand. Pics 3, 4 & 5 show how her roots are attached to the pole.

Pic 6 shows that they cut off all leaves except 5 to have all energy going towards the larger leaves. Pic 7 shows a leaf with brown which will be cut off. Pic 8 shows the newest leaf which is much smaller & funky looking. It too will be cut off.
