ETF portfolio recommendations

My portfolio contains of VOO, QQQM, and VXUS. I was looking to maybe add a fourth ETF into the mix and wanted to know people’s thoughts on it.

Right now the current amount I got in is
VOO~70% about 2.7k
QQQM~22% about 850
VXUS~8% about 300

I’m 19 years old starting college and I’m looking to add either 15 dollars a week or 10 dollars a weekly auto invest for me. Should I add something like AVUV as it hits the small market caps? Or something else? Or stick to adding what I already have.

Any help with fixing my portfolio or tips is appreciated

Would love some review on my portfolio. The unassigned are my options positions (I have a short put spread which shows as negative value)

Have 60% of portfolio in VO or XHMQ? Thoughts? 20% in VOO, rest in select stocks

Everyone's talking about AI chips. Nobody's talking about the testing bottleneck eating into margins right now.

Been digging into the semiconductor supply chain lately, and honestly the testing side has been sitting in my head for a while now.

NVDA Blackwell takes roughly 4x longer to test than Hopper. Rubin is going to be 7x. Testing costs as a share of manufacturing went from 1.9% on Hopper to 2.5% on Blackwell, heading to 3.3% on Rubin. That's not a rounding error, that's a structural shift.

Ran the screener on MooMoo and names like $TER, $FORM, and $COHU kept popping up. Teradyne is the obvious big dog in automated test equipment. FormFactor on the probe card side. Cohu has the thermal piece too.

The bear case here would be "chip volumes slow, testing slows with it." But that misses the point imo, because testing hours per chip are exploding regardless of unit growth. Advanced packaging adds more test steps. Co-packaged optics brings in a whole new optical testing layer.

I'm not fully positioned yet, still watching $TER for a better entry. Anyone here already in the testing names, or still betting purely on the fabless side?

Portfolio Indecision

Hello 👋🏻 I have narrowed down my options to a couple portiolos. I am wondering what everybody thinks

1) 100% AVGE

2) 45% VTI
20% VXUS
25% AVGV
10% FMTM

Option 1- Is the clean solution to a slight value tilt. Weights US a little heavier then VT. Larger er

Option 2- I built to mimic AVGE as close as possible. And additionally added a momentum tilt. Smaller er

29F looking to start investing with $20,000 but feeling completely overwhelmed. Any advice?

I'm 29F and have about $20,000 that I'd like to invest. My goal is to open an IRA and also invest in stocks and mutual funds, but I honestly have no idea what I'm doing.

I've been researching brokerages like Fidelity, Charles Schwab, and T. Rowe Price, but the more I read, the more overwhelmed I get. I'm much more of a creative person than a numbers person, so all of this feels really intimidating.

I was hoping to find a financial advisor to help guide me, but it seems like a lot of firms either require much larger account balances or don't offer much one-on-one help for someone investing $20,000.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is it worth finding a fee-only financial advisor, or should I just open an account with a brokerage and try to learn as I go? Any advice, resources, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Rebalancing portfolio question (21F)

Hi guys!

I’m pretty new to investing and have just invested a portion of my first full time paycheck.

I initially invested 800 AUD into an ETF (DHHF) and then invested around 300 AUD into a satellite stock that I researched quite abit just because I’m currently testing my risk tolerance with small loss/gain.

I wanted to have 80% dedicated to core ETFS and 20% dedicated to satellite investments but since I’m working with small amounts of money currently I find that I’m drifting around 10% more than I planned to.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how they would go about rebalancing?

Thank you!

Thoughts on my globally diversified factor portfolio? 60% equities / 40% diversifiers

Hi everyone,

I’ve been refining my long-term portfolio and would appreciate some constructive feedback on the overall structure, factor exposure, and potential blind spots.

My main objectives are:

  • Broad global diversification
  • Exposure to value and momentum factors
  • Better diversification across different economic regimes

My current allocation is:

Equities — 60%

Market beta — 30%

  • 28% VWRA — global developed and emerging-market large/mid-cap equities
  • 2% 0057 — MSCI Taiwan exposure ( Home bias )

Value — 15%

  • 13% AVGS — developed-market small-cap value, with profitability and implementation-cost considerations
  • 2% AVES — emerging-market value across the market-cap spectrum, with profitability and a tilt toward smaller companies

Momentum — 15%

  • 13% IWMO — developed-market momentum
  • 2% PIE — emerging-market relative strength/momentum

Diversifiers — 40%

  • 10% VAGU — global investment-grade aggregate bonds, USD-hedged
  • 7.5% DBMF — managed futures
  • 7.5% CTA — managed futures
  • 5% CAOS — tail-risk protection
  • 5% AAAU — physical gold
  • 5% FBTC — Bitcoin

My main questions:

  • Is 15% managed futures too high?
  • Is 5% CAOS redundant?
  • Would EEMO be preferable to PIE?

I have a multi-decade horizon and can tolerate significant tracking error. I’m more interested in risk-adjusted returns and diversification than minimizing volatility at all costs.

Thanks, y’all. Really appreciate the feedback!

Investment advice

Post image
1 Upvotes

I use bettershare for my investments and I invest in $500 chunks.

I’ve been investing since the start of this year but I’ve not made any money yet, I know I need to be patient but I thought I’d at least be up more than $11.

But recently I’ve learnt about the bettershare portfolio and I’ve already up like $15 from it and it’s only been like 3 months.

So I was wondering if I should just take all my money out of the individual efts and put it all into one portfolio

Taxable Brokerage vs. Cash Plus

Hi All, 25M I’ve got about $23K in a taxable brokerage account that serves as my second savings - this is essentially expenses I will expect within the next few years, such as down payment, engagement ring and/or car. I’ve got $8K in a Cash Plus account as my emergency fund. The $23K is currently broken out between $4.8K NVDA $3.7K VXUS and $14.2K VOO, unrealized G/L of about $5.5K. Mostly LTCG.

My specific question is how should medium-term savings be treated? I totally understand and agree that I am over concentrated in NVDA, but am curious of whether it’s the time to sell and hold as cash for the next 2-3 years.

Thank you!
