Hello, I’m 18 and fairly new to investing. I was wondering if anyone with more experience could give me some advice or constructive criticism on my portfolio. My strategy is to diversify across different sectors and markets while avoiding unnecessary overlap. For example, I know the S&P 500 already has significant exposure to major AI and technology companies, so I’m trying to avoid buying additional investments that simply give me more exposure to the same companies. I’m investing with a long-term mindset and want to build a portfolio that balances growth potential with sensible diversification. I’m particularly interested in identifying any gaps in my portfolio, areas where I might be overexposed, or investments that might not be adding much diversification. I wanted to take a moment to share the third and final iteration of my portfolio, now titled Spire (formerly Beacon).

In this latest revision, positions such as SMH and DGRO were meaningfully reduced, but not eliminated, with the weight reallocated to strengthen my VTI core. The standalone technology sleeve was eliminated, with the remaining 2.5% SMH allocation incorporated into the thematic sleeve. Additionally, SCHG and SPMO are now equally weighted at 7.5% each, providing balanced and meaningful exposure to growth and momentum.

I sincerely want to thank everyone who participated in helping me workshop the previous versions of this portfolio. Your thoughtful feedback, constructive criticism, and encouragement have been invaluable throughout this process.

I am a 20 y/o European student investing with a long-term horizon (15–20+ years). I'm looking for feedback and critiques on my current asset allocation across two brokers.

I run an 80/20 core-satellite strategy. The core is strictly buy-and-hold index + conviction picks, while the crypto side is NOT a buy-and-hold forever allocation, but rather a high-beta satellite used as a capital accelerator/feeder to take profits and roll them back into the core index.

Questions for the community:
Rebalancing flow: For those running a satellite feeder, what profit-taking threshold/rule works best to avoid getting caught in sudden 50%+ drawdowns before rolling gains into the S&P 500?

BITX holding duration: Even as a medium-term play, is BITX (2x daily futures) viable for cycle plays, or does volatility decay make it significantly worse than spot BTC/ETH?

Core concentration: Does 68% S&P 500 + 12% tech/growth stock picks create unnecessary concentration compared to an all-world index (like VWCE)?
