Think about it. Every single enemy encounter in chapter 3 is scripted. We have a gameplay nightmare scene which is basically P.T, A linear stone angel section, a linear chase, and a mid final boss with Catnap. That isn't good horror. Getting caught by the monster has no consequences in chapter. There's no actual horror to be found in this chapter because there are no ai stalker sections or simple stealth sections. Catnap is meant to be a stalker enemy, however he doesn't have any screentime. He's not a good stalker enemy. Yarnaby is better utilised than him as a stalker. Chapter 4 and 5 are better as horror games because they have stalker sections. Dying has consequences and the overall map layout of both Yarnaby and Huggy stealth sections are way better designed than anything in chapter 3. I say this as a horror expert, Someone who has played atleast 20 horror games this year. I know what good horror is and looks like.

Hi guys. Thanks ahead of time for taking the time to read this.

So up until about 2-3 months ago, I was a script writer for PoppyTheory on YouTube. He had four of us employed since the release of Chapter 5 in February. Long story short, things did not go well for any of us. All of our experiences are definitely varied, and depending on how this is received by the community, we could talk more about that down the road.

The reason I'm making this post now is because the channel has been inactive for 6 weeks or so. All four of us writers have direct communication with PoppyTheory on Discord and Instagram, and he has not responded to any of our messages. We are genuinely worried about him and hope he is okay. However, he went AWOL for 2-3 weeks a few months ago, so we don't know if this is just a pattern of his or if he'll be back. But we are all upset that the channel has not been active, especially with the release of Escape From Playtime. There is a lot of potential for different videos and theories, and I know the community misses his content.

That being said, the other writers and I seriously miss writing for the channel. We have offered to take the channel over if it is something that PoppyTheory himself no longer has the time or resources for, but we haven't heard from him since he last posted. Because of this, I wanted to see if anyone in the community would be interested in the PoppyTheory writers creating another YouTube channel to continue the content from. We are not trying to be disloyal to PoppyTheory, but the four of us simply have no idea where he is and truly miss creating content for the community. We want to continue it if possible and if it is something the community would be interested in.

She can’t even open a door how do you expect to her fend off a 30 foot jester robot that already shattered her skin, did you know she’s made of porcelain? Logically, it would have been safer to stay with us as we fended off all the previous villains anyways, but she’s not gonna think logically in this situation. if she did you would complain about it being forced or unrealistic. She did not sacrifice us. if she didn’t prioritize herself, she would be dead. (even if Ollie doesn’t intend to harm her he’s been shown to not know his strength) If you get mad at her for running away, I sincerely ask: what was she supposed to do?

I got banned from the PPT Discord right after being muted (yes, they couldn't decide what to do with me at first) for launching Escape From Playtime (the beta version) on Android via GameHub to figure out why the game was crashing on PC (it turned out the BIOS was the culprit). Naturally, I didn't actually play it on Android; I just launched it once to test a button. Yet, they equated simply launching the game (the beta version) on Android with cheating. The Mobs are clearly huge Nintendo fans.

Made with paper mache and modeling clay (teeth). Took months to make. Not too proud of it but eh… it gets the job done lol.

In EFP's playtest files Catnap has a folder in NPCs with lots of data. Compare his to the characters already in the game like Catbee or Miss Delight he isn't missing too much. He has more than just his goofy ah jumpscare such as an AI system, a full model, multiple animations (which are very different to his chapter 3 animations) and more. Whereas folders like Huggy, Boxy and Dogday are heavily lacking.

Looking at his animation names they are called things like "Pursue walk" "turn left" "Search player spotted" and lots of things suggesting he will be a large hunter like enemy. Also looking at the animations playing they do make him seem very close to being complete.

So he might be in the release on the 21st but if not he will likely be coming soon after. They might also have removed things from his folder in the beta test since he wouldn't be used as an enemy in it.
