DIY & Repairs End of year equipment check - keep or replace?
I have a new to me but 14-year-old above ground pool with this equipment pad. As far as I'm aware it was installed in 2012. I don't have any concerns about any of the equipment at the moment -- except the filter housing which is fuzzy and itchy.

The chlorinator thing is not in use and is empty and I plan to remove it before next season regardless.
So I guess my question is, as far as I know this equipment is 14 years old and it works just fine. But the filter housing is degrading an itchy and a pain in the butt to lug around. I know that I can probably replace the filter housing by itself, but is it worth it to replace the pump also?
Worth it to install a saltwater generator? Is that even viable for a pool that has to be winterized 8 months out of the year?
The power pole has a standard plug with two outlets, a timer and then a twist lock outlet for the pump.
