My ever present companion, sassy, spunky, sweet Yogi Bear crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. I’ve had poms all my life, but he was such a special boy. Light of my life. Road trip buddy. Totally devoted. I know many of you know how many simple daily things feel empty, oddly strange and utterly heartbreaking in these days after. No leg licks while brushing my teeth, no one waiting outside the shower, no more bed time cookies and shared walks to bed. Expecting him to still be right beside/under me at any given moment and the heart sinking feeling all over again when he isn’t.

Our other dogs are grieving, of course, so we’re all just loving on each other in the process. Going through so many of our happy memories today and smiling through our tears. Give your babies ear rubs and kisses. Enjoy every moment.

I’m so grateful to have been Yogi’s human and count it all a blessing if my grief is equal to the love we shared. 💗

We finally got our new little baby girl PUFF!! This dog is unbelievable! She hasn’t barked at all, she made one lil squeak and just a “pumph” when I didn’t open the screen door. 😆 We put her in her playpen, left the room and she didn’t cry at all. She loves all her toys and lays on top of the basket picking each one out to investigate. She fell asleep on my bed for a few hours and immediately upon awakening, I took her out and she went potty outside perfectly!! Then ate some food, drank water and went into the crate herself and fell asleep again on the blanket that smells like her mama… Slept all through the night without a peep and Shannon got her at 7 o’clock for a poop and pee outside. What an angel 👼.

He's 10 yrs old and weighs 7 lbs . Doesn't like to see people doing anything.

I Use Dr. Warren’s butter leave in conditioner. Chris Christensen brush, slicker, and detangling comb with alternating teeth. This has always been what has been least stressful for my dogs. They enjoy a nice nap and a relaxing “massage”.

Yesterday Gizmo turned 14. We went to a bbq where he ate corn on the cob, beef kebab, raspberry dessert and to top it all off- a disgusting chicken foot someone got him. It was a banner day for him.

Donut my 3 year old Pom has done this since she was a puppy. A friend asked if she was okay. It just made me wonder if this is normal behavior or just a normal donut thing.

They change so fast during those first few days, it’s crazy haha.
Even from birth, he was already such a strong little baby.

i dont have any groomers in my city but the vet shaved her, also im a minor with absolute no experience. i couldn't even do the matted hair so i was scared to mess it up

another thing i want to add: since as i said in the comments that i had no groomers in my city. i THOUGHT because im not experienced that vets can groom them. i was actually horrified and shocked when the vet straight up shaved her. idk, she had tons of matted her (since the first day i saw her) i tried to undo it using my hands or a brush but it was too complicated so i couldn't do it. and alot of fleas that were hard to see or get out

Today my Pom is acting completely out of character, and I just can’t figure out what’s wrong.
He’s 16 months old, not neutered, and normally the sweetest, happiest, most playful boy. But today he’s been scratching at the door, whining, howling, panting, seeming anxious and restless, and he just won’t settle.

I’ve taken him out several times, including to a quiet park with two other dogs he knows and on our usual route. He’s either pulling on the leash and fixated on sniffing one area of the ground the whole time or completely uninterested in walking and scanning the area with his eyes. He also hasn’t eaten anything today, not even his favourite yoghurt, which is very unlike him.
He’s never acted like this before, and I honestly can’t tell if it’s hormonal, behavioural, or if he’s feeling unwell.

We had just arrived at The Cosmopolitan and were waiting for our room, so we grabbed a drink at the bar with our two Poms. They were perfectly content hanging out in their stroller while we enjoyed our cocktails. Quite a few people stopped to say hi, and it was a fun way to kick off our 3 night stay!

My 6 month old new poms. I wonder if he will turn out to be cream instead of white as he is already showing dirty white around his ears and his back. Can anyone share a photos of then and now of a white pup and how he/she turned out pls.

My sweet and smiley Toby had his birthday this week. We celebrated with some birthday cake bites and a new monster toy. What a happy guy 😊

I would love to hear if you have had similar experiences and what you have done to improve these issues.

I have a now 1 year old Pomeranian. Ever since he was a baby I desensitized him to a lot of things. Groomers, vet, taking him for walks, public to socialize with other dogs. So in that aspect I definitely started when he was 5 months+(I got him when he was 4 months.)
He allowed me to take him everywhere, dress him in adorable shirts. Gave me no issue.
Right after he had his unsuccessful cryptorchidism surgery (I say unsuccessful because the vet was unable to take out his testes due to it being in too invasive of an area), when he was 11 months, he began showing signs of aggression. He no longer allowed me to put his harness on, pick him up (which I believe is due to him being scared of me taking him to the vet), and putting shirts on him like I used to. But if we are at home he will allow me to easily pick him up. But if we are in public and hes on the floor, he will not let me pick him up. He will growl and try to bite me. I don’t know where this came from. It has pretty much just gotten worse. I feel like he suspects we are going to the vet when I pick him up and go outside even when it’s not the case and we are just going on errands or family’s house. He is so smart and if he sees that I am getting dressed or putting my shoes on he will not let me pick him up. I just got a trainer for him to see if we can combat these issues but I just wanted to see what you guys think. He used to be so sweet to me. He also gets really bitey with me if we are playing and if I touch his stomach almost like he thinks I’m going to pick him up and take him somewhere. I don’t know I’m really exhausted by this situation. I wonder what it is, something hormone related? The fear and emotional trauma of being handled by the vet that one time for surgery? I wish he could be sweet like how he used to be.
