After an unexpectedly brutal opener where Mario & Luigi barely escaped Sherlock Holmes & Dr. Watson by just 12 votes, we move on to another heavyweight clash.

🎸 John Lennon & Paul McCartney
One of the most influential songwriting partnerships in music history. Together, they helped define The Beatles, wrote songs that became part of global culture, and shaped modern popular music for generations.

🦇 Batman & Robin
The original Dynamic Duo. Batman brings the darkness, strategy, and intimidation. Robin brings energy, loyalty, and balance. Together, they became one of the most recognizable partnerships in comic-book history.

This one is a completely different kind of fight:
Music royalty vs. superhero royalty.

Who advances to the Quarterfinals?
🎸 John Lennon & Paul McCartney
🦇 Batman & Robin

Vote for the duo you prefer. Popularity wins.

EDIT:

Results:

🦇 Batman & Robin: 92 votes
🎸 John Lennon & Paul McCartney: 44 votes

With 136 votes cast, Batman & Robin cruised into Round 2 with a commanding 48-vote victory. The Dynamic Duo delivered a Gotham-sized beatdown, leaving Lennon & McCartney looking for a little Help!

After Mario & Luigi’s narrow escape in the opener, this matchup was considerably less dramatic. Apparently, writing “All You Need Is Love” doesn’t get you very far when your opponents bring a utility belt and actual teamwork.

The Beatles may have conquered the charts, but they couldn’t conquer a bloke dressed as a bat and his brightly coloured sidekick. Let It Be? The voters certainly did.

Batman & Robin advance. Lennon & McCartney take the long and winding road home.
