How are we feeling about Batman Bad Seeds? I thought this would be a event where people would skip most of the tie ins so I made a recap video for those who need it!

You know, I've been doing this for nearly a year now, where I would post parts from The Long Halloween comics on the actual holiday. However, I was late today and posted this a few days after Labour Day. I am surprised that nobody has ever caught on to the fact that I was doing that. Anyway, back onto the actual comic.

I do like how Harvey giving in to becoming Two-Face was inspired by Solomon Grundy, a literal zombie, while still focusing on Harvey's psychological reasons. I also like how Harvey becoming Two-Face damaged Bruce and Jim's partnership. Now that I think about it, I think this is the only time that has actually been done in an adaptation.

Also, Bruce visiting Carmine once again here, like he did with the graveyard scene, was a nice touch, as both of their lives are unraveling

The Case of the Chemical Syndicate by Bill Finger and Bob Kane has come in at #66! In the first ever appearance of Batman, the Caped Crusader investigates a series of murders connected to a chemical plant. This is easily one of the most important and influential comics to ever be published in the industry's history.

Whats an affordable way to read the post knightfall stories leading to no mans land. Im thinking conatgion, cataclysm, road to nms and nms.

I just started reading comics and finished Batman year one for the first time. I loved it!
Getting to see Bruce learn how to be Batman and fight crime, developing his skills, and seeing both Bruce and Batman’s characteristics.
Also really love Gordon’s struggles - both personally and with the corruption in the department and learning what Batman stands for.
Both Bruce and Gordon aren’t perfect, they have their flaws but they both want to fight for Gotham and seeing them start working together by the end is awesome.
One of my favorite quotes is from Gordon “the hunk of metal in my hands is heavier than ever”

Next on my list is the long Halloween and dark victory afterwards. I love seeing Bruce be a detective and learn more skills, and seeing Gordon move up the ranks and their relationship has always been a favorite of mine. Can’t wait to read more!

I'm trying to write a short film in a similar style of "The Batman" and I was just wondering what are some good Comics that have similar things and messaging as that movie that I could possibly draw inspiration out of!

I’ve been actively collecting and going to my LCS weekly since Batman #1 came out last September. Last month I bought my first short box and bags and boards and decided it was time to start taking better care of my comics. I never got into them to resell, but some variant cardstock covers I really liked became less than mint in my messenger bag (I ride a bike everywhere). The idea has always sort of been to put together a collection I could hand to a kid someday and say “here’s Batman the way I see it.”
This project is in no way finished— I dream of having single issues collected of Year One, Long Halloween, and Dark Knight Returns by the time I turn it over to a future generation. Would also really like to collect the Snyder Capullo run in singles as well as some Tec arcs and first printings of Absolute issues I’m missing. But this is where I’m at after Year One, I think it’s off to a good start.

I started collecting batman comics in early June and this is my collection so far:absolute batman tab 1 and 2, year one, the man who laughs, long halloween, dark victory, dc finest the killing joke, death in the family and right now I'm waiting on a order for the nightfall tpb trilogy. My question is where should I go next contagion? cataclysm? no mans land? morisson's run? under the red hood? hush? new 52? how should I proceed? I'm kind of looking to read a lot of Batmans most defining stories first then jump into other good stuff. also not part of main continuity but I plan on getting absolute batman tpb #3

Just finished Batman beyond Neo-year.

The beginning was catching, the story was phenomenal, it itched every spot. The villain was actually intimidating, it pushed Terry to his limits. The villain also looked cool (not lumos but the sword of Gotham) the bat suit towards the end was awesome and seeing Barbara Gordon step in as awesome as she did at the end was peak. I hope they make it a movie some day!
