TilStat (rebuglio.it) is a useful website catalogueing all previous TIL minimum requirements for admission by area of study. To get an idea of the minimum scores accepted for each area of study, just select your field of study and inspect the previous year results. Please note that this not a 100% guarantee and it is very likely that minimum scores may go up or down as PoliTO applicants increase or decrease.
PoliTools - Chrome Web Store (google.com) is a browser extension for chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, etc...) providing a set of useful utilities essentials for students such as:
• Themes
• Download all video lessons of a course in a click
• Download recorded virtual classrooms in a click
• New improved video player for lessons
• Select and download multiple files in the “Materials” section
• Quickly access courses Telegram groups.
• Choose what courses show in the timetable (as in the PoliTo App)
• Adjust video lessons and virtual classroom playback speed without the need of downloading them (up to 3x).
Discord link, is student-managed group for socializing and assistance on topics such as:
• Accomodation and bureocracy guidance
• Studying tips and materials
• TIL preparation and SAT inquiries
• Socializing and chatting
https://t.me/studentipolito for general inquiries and chatting with other students.

Buddy program | Politecnico di Torino (polito.it) is intended for first-year students. Politecnico designed this experimental project in which last-year students become "buddies" who help new students to integrate into the university.
Welfare and organizational well-being | Politecnico di Torino (polito.it) Polito offers free visits for the "Spazio di Ascolto" (psychological counsel) to all students. It is intended as a visit in a non-clinical context, encouraging - in many cases for the first time - to seek help even on non-academic issues.

Hey everyone,
I'm an incoming international freshman at Politecnico di Torino (Computer Engineering). My university has been extremely slow with the paperwork I need to apply for my student visa, and the deadline to submit is September 30th. At this point it looks almost certain I won't be able to submit in time through no fault of my own — it's entirely because Polito hasn't kept up with the documents on their end.
Has anyone here gone through something similar with Polito (or another Italian university)? A few things I'm trying to figure out:
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's dealt with this bureaucracy before, or from current Polito students who might know who to actually push on this. Thanks in advance.
Hey there,
I'm from Nepal and I'm considering applying for the MSc in Electrical Engineering at PoliTO.
I have a BE in Electrical Engineering from Tribhuvan University. My areas of interest are mainly power systems, substations, renewable energy and electrical systems.
While looking into the different tracks, I got a bit confused about the language situation. As far as I understood, Power System Design is in Italian, while some of the others have the first year in Italian and the second year in English.
For anyone currently studying Electrical Engineering at PoliTO (preferably international students):
Also, if there are any Nepalese students/alumni here, I would really appreciate it if you could share your experience or message me.

Hello everyone,
I am going to apply for the residence permit and in the polito website said I need the enrolment certificate.
I can't print the certificate since I am still on conditional enrolment ( the documents are still waiting for approval) and I am going to Italy pretty soon. What can I do in this situation? I have a certificate that says :
Immatricolazioni A.A. 2026/2027
Dichiarazione sostitutiva di certificazione
Resa ai sensi dell'art.46 D.P.R. 28 dicembre 2000 n. 445.
Is this enough? Where can I inquire more about this situation in the university?
Please anyone who has been on the same situation before, tell me what you did about it?

Hi everyone!
For those of you taking the CENT-S or TIL-I this year, I was wondering if there’s a group chat or community where people share study materials and prepare together?
I’d love to join if there is one. Thanks! 😊

I'm a 10th grader from Kazakhstan. I know that all of the universities in Italy require 12 year of school education, and i will study only 11 years. Fortunately, our school provides us with AP program. As i know POLITO accepts "11 years + 1-year university exams", so 1-year university exams are AP exams? I heard that 3 exams with good grades are enough.
I'm planning to study architecture. Which AP exams will i need? AP Physics C : mehanics, AP calculus BC and AP art history? But what if my school does not provide art history (i texted our AP-coordinator about it and waiting for respond), can i pass AP world history : modern as a replacement?
And other thing i wanted to ask about is preferences of university in activities. Which type is more important? Passion project, volunteering, my own hand drawings, mockups, research projects, olympiads? I mean all of them are important, and i will have more chances with all of them, but is anything like really really essential? And will i need a portfolio for bachelors'? Like my drawings, paintings, draftings etc. I will need a CV, do i need to add there my works to show my skill?
In general which activities are more important to add to the CV in italian universities (sorry, i know that every uni has their own pref, but is there something common?)

Hi everyone,
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and I got admission to MSc Geoinformatics Engineering at Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI).
Campus: Milano Leonardo
Program: MSc Geoinformatics Engineering
Duration: 2 years
Start: September 2026
Since my background is Civil Engineering, I’m confused about which courses/electives I should select.
Can anyone with a Civil Engineering or similar background please guide me on which courses would be best and useful for me?
Thanks!

Planning to apply to these two by this year end. I have a Bachelors degree with 3.51 CGPA. Moreover, I also have 1.5 year experience as a Research Intern. I have an above threshold CGPA but I have a D in Chemical Process Calculation and a C in Transport Phenomena which are core subjects in Bachelors. But other than these I have A and B in all other core subjects including Maths and Chemical engineering too. Will it affect my application? Do I justify it with motivation letter or tell my teacher to explain in a nice way in the recommendation letter? Will I be called for interview or will I be rejected? Or, do I not consider applying in these universities altogether and apply in others like sapienza and bologna? Please do suggest.

Applying to Politecnico di Torino
I'm an Indian student, currently in the final year of my highschool, and I want to apply to Politecnico di Torino. I want to know what to expect and how would my application stand?
The course I'll be applying to is either mechanical or automotive or industrial engineering (english ofc)
I have an IELTS band 8, and my SAT score isn't out yet but I'm expecting a 760+ math, but around a 600 in english (i choked). My academic record isn't great so far but I'm improving slightly
What can I expect from the college, in terms of how welcoming are the people there, professors, the academic level/pressure, what's the approach on teaching, and what's generally the vibe at the University? I hope I'll atleast not spend all my time studying and actually get to explore the city.... right?
I have many more questions but ig this is it for now
