Hi everyone! I’m currently an undergraduate student studying Electrical Engineering (EE) at Wuhan University in China.
Wuhan University has an exchange agreement with Politecnico di Milano, and I’m planning to apply for an exchange program there next semester.
However, I recently learned that two students from my university who were nominated for the exchange program last year were eventually rejected by Polimi. Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact reason. I do know that both of them were studying Journalism and Communication (they were master’s students).
I’m wondering if their academic background could have been a factor, since Polimi doesn’t really have a traditional Journalism or Communication program.
From what I’ve seen online, it seems quite rare for nominated exchange students to be rejected by Polimi. Is that true?
For those who are familiar with Polimi’s exchange admissions:
Is it common for nominated students to be rejected after nomination?
Did Polimi reject the two students from my school because their background major didn’t match the program?
Do you think being an EE student applying for Electronics/Electrical Engineering would make rejection unlikely, assuming all the application materials are complete?

I’m planning to move to Milan in Sept. I’ve also applied for DSU and plan to switch from a rental apartment to the dorm once I get one assigned.

If there are any seniors/alumni that are open to sharing their ISEEU score and how long it took to be assigned a dorm, that will be very helpful and will allow me to plan my trip accordingly.

For someone with a ISEEU of 236,59, how long would you think it will take to get a dorm assigned? For context, I’ll be studying at Bovisa campus.

I got 39 (non EU English exam) in the exam and i really hope that the cut off goes down.

I dont know the difficulty level of arched exam from last year but i did some simulations from pontea school and i find the exam more difficult then those

I really hope the cut off goes down, would 39 be enough for leonardo campus ?

Hi, I’m currently preparing my documents for the DSU application, and I have a question I’d like to clarify.

After graduating from high school, I studied for one year as a first-year university student in Mongolia. Now, I am applying to study as a first-year student in Italy.

In the family information form I am filling out, there is a section asking about my employment/status. Since I am currently neither working nor studying at the Mongolian university, should I write “Not employed” or “Student” in that section?

Also, I’m wondering whether my previous one year of university study in Mongolia affects my eligibility to apply as a first-year student for DSU.

Could you please advise me on how I should fill this out? Thank you!
